Chapter Twenty-Seven: Clingy and Proud
---
After their explosive skirmish, the tension hadn't faded—it had simply evolved.
Now inside Crow's private lounge, the air had changed. It wasn't fierce anymore. It was… possessive. Heated. Soft touches, stolen glances, and a dangerous kind of silence that came from three women—all with the same thought.
"Mine."
---
Mirko had wasted no time. She practically threw herself onto Crow's right side, curling into him like a loyal pet staking her claim. Her strong arms looped around his waist, and her bunny ears twitched every time Lady Nagant or Nejire moved.
"I'm always your right-hand girl, Master," she muttered with a mix of defiance and yearning, snuggling closer, her flushed cheek pressed to his side.
Crow simply placed his hand on her head, scratching gently between her ears. Her tail twitched with delight.
On his left side, Lady Nagant had claimed her space with precision. One arm wrapped around his, her grip firm but not tight—assertive and proud. Her cheek rested lightly against his shoulder, her lips curling into a smug smile as she stared at Mirko with barely concealed smugness.
"She can bark all she wants, but you always relax when I'm beside you," she whispered, her voice like velvet, slow and deliberate.
Mirko growled under her breath. Crow's fingers didn't stop petting her.
And then there was Nejire—who had taken the most daring position of all.
She was seated directly on his lap, facing him, arms around his neck, body pressed close, blue hair cascading like silk down her back. She giggled innocently, despite the heat in her eyes.
"I get the best seat," she sang softly, leaning forward until her forehead touched his. "Right, Master?"
Crow chuckled low in his throat. His left hand tightened around Nagant's waist. His right continued to stroke Mirko's ear. And his gaze stayed locked with Nejire's.
"You're all where you belong," he said simply, his voice smooth.
The three of them clung tighter.
---
A silence settled over the lounge—thick, charged, but oddly… peaceful. None of them argued anymore. There was no need.
They weren't equals.
They were pets clinging to their master.
And Crow?
He had never looked more satisfied.
