"Pichu, use Thundershock!"
"Uh-I...uh...D-dodge it!" Ryoku hesitant but said an order.
Snivy quickly dodged to the side, avoiding the Thunder Shock attack. It looked back at Ryoku, waiting for its next command.
Nora raised an eyebrow, slightly impressed by Ryoku's quick thinking.
"Not bad. Pichu, use Quick Attack!"
"Well, I don't know any of Snivy's moves. This is all new to me Nora." Ryoku trying to tell her to ease up a bit.
Nora chuckled, realizing that Ryoku was still new to this.
"Alright, alright. I'll go easy on you. Pichu, back off for now."
Pichu stopped its attack and waited for further instructions.
"How do i know what moves it knows?" Ryoku asked
Nora smiled, understanding Ryoku's confusion.
"That's easy. You can check its Pokedex or the Gear Watch to see what moves it knows. Snivy can use Vine Whip, Tackle, Leer, and Growl." She explained
He went to his Gear Watch and checked and as said, she was right.
"Alright. Let's go with Vine Whip." Ryoku says to Snivy.
Snivy nodded and used Vine Whip, sending a vine-like attack towards Pichu. Pichu dodged the attack.
"Pichu, use Charge and then Thundershock." Nora says
"Snivy, dodge that!"
Pichu quickly used Charge, increasing its special attack. Snivy tried to dodge, but the attack still hit it, causing some damage.
Ryoku winced as he saw Snivy take the hit, but it managed to hang in there.
"You okay, Snivy?" He asked, concerned for his partner's well-being.
Snivy steadily gets up as it then asserts itself. Nora was getting giddy and excited that she pulled out the Cyber ball and called her Pichu inside.
"Time to get electrifying!" Nora turns the dial once and then throws the Cyberball as a Pikachu then came out.
"Alright..a Cyber evolution of Pichu, Pikachu." Nora smirks.
Ryoku's eyes widened as he saw the Cyber ball transform Pichu into Pikachu.
He was amazed by the technology and the power boost it gave Pikachu.
"Whoa...that's amazing," he said, watching as Pikachu took its place on the battlefield.
Ryoku checking his Gear Watch to see what Snivy can go into. He then did the same with Snivy, called it into the Cyberball and then turned the dial and thrown it as a Servine came out.
Servine emerged from the Cyberball, looking stronger and more agile than ever. Ryoku smiled, feeling a sense of pride in his partner's evolution.
Nora looked impressed by the transformation.
"Nice move, Ryoku. Looks like your Servine is ready to take on Pikachu." Nora comments with a smirk happily with excitement.
"Alright Servine...as this let's use Razor Leaf!" Ryoku commands
"Now you're getting a little more confident! Pikachu, dodge and attack with Quick Attack!" Nora says
Servine used Razor Leaf, sending a barrage of sharp leaves towards Pikachu. Pikachu tried to dodge, but one of the leaves grazed its side.
It quickly retaliated with a Quick Attack, rushing towards Servine at high speed. Servine was hit head on and tumbled to the side.
"Let's finish this Pikachu! Volt Tackle!"
Pikachu charged up its body with electricity and then launched itself at Servine with a powerful Volt Tackle. The impact was strong, and Servine was sent flying back.
Ryoku watched in horror as his partner struggled to get back up.
"Servine!" *Ryoku called out as it struggled more, but then couldn't as it then fell unconscious. Its evolutionary form was released reverting back to Snivy.*
"Servine is unable to continue, Pikachu is the winner." Azalea says
Alright!" Nora says excitedly as Pikachu's evolutionary form goes away as it reverts back as a Pichu. Pichu then turned and ran up to Nora and jumped up into her arms as she caught him.
Ryoku ran over to Snivy, gently picking it up in his arms. He looked worried and upset that his partner had lost.
Nora walked over to him, Pichu perched on her shoulder, and smiled.
"Don't worry, Ryoku. It was your first battle. You did great." She came over to him
"But i lost..." He says that he didn't win against her. Nora put a hand on his shoulder, trying to reassure him.
"That doesn't matter. What matters is that you tried your best and you showed a lot of potential. Besides, there will be plenty of battles ahead." She adds
"That was an awesome battle!!" Zoro says
"Wish i could do better though." Ryoku sighs as Terra gave a soft smile
"It's okay to lose. Learn from that experience to get better." Terra says
Ryoku looked up at Terra, feeling a bit reassured by her words.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. I'll train harder and become stronger." He smiled as she smiled softly back.
"What a pathetic display." Said a male voice coming from above on the Bronze Red dorm floor.
He had a black pea coat and has a two tone slightly curved down hair of white and winter green. His eyes were winter green as well. And had a Silver White dorm cloth around his neck as a bandana.
"Altair...." Azalea says
Altair leaned against the railing, looking down at the group with a condescending expression.
"Seriously, that was a sad excuse for a battle. You call that trying your best?" Altair looking directly at Ryoku.
"The hell is that suppose to mean?" Ryoku asked a bit hurt.
"Your inexperienced and pathetic. A one sided battle where the more experience wins. She had to hold back and make sure you had a chance....tough luck buddy ...your not for this Union." Altair looking at him.
"Altair!" Azalea trying to get him to stop
Ryoku's expression hardened as he glared up at Altair. He felt a mix of anger and embarrassment at the harsh words.
"What do you know? I'm still learning, and I won't give up just because you think I'm weak." Ryoku grits his teeth groaning
"You are weak and you won't last long..." Altair turns and walks to go up to the Silver White dorm floor.
Azalea watched as Altair walked away, shaking her head in frustration.
"Don't listen to him, Ryoku. He's just trying to get under your skin." Azalea trying to calm him down.
"I hate the way he talks down to people and yet he isn't wrong about you not being on everyone's level." Sora says
Ryoku clenched his fists, trying to ignore the sting of Sora's words. He knew that he wasn't as strong as everyone else, but he didn't want to hear it from someone he admired.
"What do you mean I'm not on everyone's level?" He asked, his voice tinged with frustration.
"He's in the top five of the Silver White." Sora says
Ryoku's eyes widened in shock. He had no idea that Altair was so powerful.
"Top five...in the Silver White dorm?" He repeated, still trying to process the information.
"Don't let that discourage you Ryoku! You can get stronger!" Nora saying with determination to help him.
Ryoku looked at Nora, feeling a bit reassured by her words. He took a deep breath and nodded.
"Yeah, you're right. I can't let someone like Altair get to me. I'll train harder and become stronger, no matter what it takes."
"Well, i gotta get back to directing this Union. I'll be in my office if anyone needs me." Azalea says as she goes off
"Ryoku, come with me. We have a facility called a pokemon Center within this union." Sora showed the group and Ryoku the pokemon center below the Bronze Red Dorm Floor.
Ryoku followed Sora to the pokemon center, still feeling a bit uneasy after the encounter with Altair. He looked around the facility in awe, amazed by the advanced technology and healing capabilities.
"A pokemon Center...so it can heal our pokemon?" He asked, his curiosity piqued.
"Yup!" Terra chimed in "I joined the Union to learn more about Pokemon care."
"I joined because i want the thrill of adventures!" Nora says
"I joined to battle and train my Zorua." Zoro says
Ryoku listened to their reasons for joining the Union, feeling a sense of camaraderie with his fellow members.
"I guess I joined to find out more about myself and to become stronger," he admitted. "And maybe to prove that I can stand up to someone like Altair one day."
"There's far stronger group of people in this Union called the Warlords." Sora says
Ryoku's eyes widened again, his curiosity growing even more.
"Warlords? What are they like?" He asked, eager to learn more about the mysterious group.
"There are eight of them. Three are siblings, the Kisagari siblings. They are Cardinal, the Warlord of Fire. Rei, the Warlord of Lightning. Naga, the Warlord of Ice." He lists the first three.
Ryoku nods, committing the names and elements to memory. He was intrigued by the idea of a Warlord for each element.
"That's incredible. They must be incredibly powerful to be called Warlords."
"Then you have Adrian, Warlord of Dark. Verona, Warlord of Bug. Valara, Warlord of Psychic. William, Warlord of Grass. Finally Ursula, Warlord of Ghost." Sora explained
Ryoku's mind raced as he tried to picture what each Warlord looked like and what kind of powers they possessed. He couldn't help but feel a bit intimidated by the thought of facing them one day.
"I've never heard of any of them before...are they all from this Union?" He asked, still trying to wrap his head around the concept of Warlords.
"They are. Each strong in their own right." Sora says
"I admire Rei Kisagari." Nora says
Ryoku raised an eyebrow at Nora's comment about Rei Kisagari.
"Really? Why do you admire her?" He asked, curious about Nora's admiration for the Warlord.
"For starters, we both use electric types." Nora began
Ryoku nodded, understanding the connection between Nora and Rei. He knew that having similar types could make for an exciting battle.
"I see. Is there anything else that draws you to her?" He asked, genuinely interested in Nora's thoughts.
"And she has a sense of adventure!" Nora says
Ryoku chuckled at Nora's enthusiasm. He could tell that she was passionate about Rei and the idea of adventure.
"That's good to know. I guess I'll have to keep an eye out for Rei then," He said, a hint of determination in his voice.
After getting Snivy all healed up, everyone nostly went on about their ways. Unfortunately, Ryoku and Nora on the Bronze Red Dorm floor, they both came up to a room and realized they're both in the same room.
"Umm... we're suppose to share a room?" Ryoku wondered.
Nora looked surprised as well, not expecting to share a room with Ryoku. She shrugged her shoulders and walked into the room, setting her bag down on one of the beds.
"Looks like it. Guess we're roommates now."
"I don't know....we are the opposite gender....and knowing there's a female in the same room..." Ryoku began trailing off feeling like he shouldn't finish that.
Nora raised an eyebrow, a sly smile spreading across her face as she noticed Ryoku's hesitation.
"What's wrong? Can't handle being in the same room as a girl?" She teased, sitting down on the bed and patting the spot next to her.
He gulps.
Nora laughed at his reaction, clearly enjoying the effect she was having on him. She leaned back on the bed, still patting the spot next to her.
"Come on, don't be shy. We're both mature enough to share a room without any problems." He couldn't get himself to do so.
"I'll just....go to my bed." Ryoku says going to his.
Nora chuckled as Ryoku went to his bed. She couldn't help but find his shyness amusing.
"Suit yourself. But just so you know, I don't bite...much." She said "All jokes aside...you hide something with yourself that you don't tell others don't you?"
This made Ryoku freeze up.
"I uh...umm.... I don't know what your talking about." He says
"The way you carry yourself ...you seem so new to this world. Everything you've done...everything you seen. I watched your face with shock and awe. Your not completely telling your whole self. You hide a secret no one should know." She says figuring him out.
"I-I...yes...your right." He feels defeated since she figured him out.
"But you HAVE to keep this between us alone....got that?" He said sternly as she nods.
"I'm...well... I've been asleep for over a thousand years....and when Azalea mentioned Dyäs Niziki as him as the Fallen Emperor and asking if there is a connection between him and I....there is...I am the son of the Fallen Emperor." Ryoku says
"That's....a lot to take in...but I can understand why. You hold a power people want." She says as he nods.
"Your right...this stays between us. I'd hate to see a friend be taken and used for something bad." Nora understanding the gravity of the situation.
"Well... I'm going to bed." She says as he agrees. They get to their own beds as Ryoku noticed a Divider and pulls it to divide the room. After getting settled down and in bed they fall asleep.
As they drift off to sleep, Nora can't help but feel a mix of excitement and anxiety. She knows that her life is about to change drastically now that she's involved with the son of the Fallen Emperor. But at the same time, she's determined to protect him and help him navigate this new world. The future is uncertain, but one thing is for sure: nothing will ever be the same again.
