The afternoon had been calm. Just another quiet day in the city.
Sakura and Vulpina, dressed in their human forms, were blending in like any other pair of sisters, holding shopping bags and sipping iced coffee from paper cups. The street was buzzing — music from a nearby speaker, people chatting at food stands, kids running around with balloons.
Then Sakura leaned in with a grin.
"A new clan's been founded… and you're going to be surprised at who did it."
Vulpina raised an eyebrow, still sipping casually. "Let me guess. Another blood cult playing at power?"
"Nope," Sakura said, her eyes glittering. "It's not just vampires. It's witches. Werewolves. Even humans. All in one clan."
The straw slipped from Vulpina's mouth as she turned slowly to face her sister.
"That's not a clan," she muttered. "That's a bomb waiting to go off."
Sakura smirked. "Wait till you hear who's leading it."
Vulpina stared, already annoyed. "Who?"
"Lucifer."
