Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

Kai was supported by two people and followed Rey to a private house, where he stayed for almost ten minutes.

He originally thought that Rey knew where the other party was, but after watching for a long time, the latter did nothing.

He looked calm, obviously not in a hurry.

He's anxious; that's his sister!

"Rey, what are you going to do? My sister has been captured for several hours."

"If you don't go, I will go look for him alone."

Rey didn't even look back. "Where are you looking? Do you know where Gio took your sister?"

"Then what can I do? She is my only relative."

Kai's determined face showed a weak side.

"Your sister is fine now; don't worry." Rey sighed and motioned to his two younger brothers to explain to Kai.

"That's right; Brother likes 1v1, so he only catches one at a time."

"Geo is so proud of himself. Even though he is not very capable, he still likes to sleep with his wife, so your sister is still safe now."

After listening to what the two said, Kai looked confused but innocent in his eyes. "What do you mean?"

"It means that when Gio arrests people, he will arrest at least several people, probably more than three."

"With this amount, even if he has already targeted the target, he will not arrest them all at once, so he is used to arresting people during the day and doing things at night."

"It's still so bright now, so nothing can happen to your sister."

After explaining in one breath, Rey waved to the people in the distance, "While there is still time, we can just find professionals to solve the problem."

A man wearing a guard uniform came to a few people and raised his eyebrows, "Rey, it's rare for you to come to see me. Have you caused any trouble?"

Kai exclaimed, "Guard Captain Vincent."

Vincent is the chief of guard responsible for maintaining order in Reed City. He is an upright person that is the object of his admiration. How could such a person know Rey? It appears that the relationship is not simple.

But he also understood what Rey was going to do. Finding someone would be much easier if he could borrow Vincent's power.

Vincent's good attitude toward Rey was actually because Rey inadvertently did him a big favour; that is, when his family was short of medical expenses to save his son, Rey provided the money.

As for why the original person did this, Rey couldn't explain it. In short, it was not out of good intentions.

After that incident, although Vincent hated Rey's behaviour, he would not do anything to his benefactor.

He also taught Rey his sword skills.

Hear out Rey's story.

Vincent didn't recover for a long time. "You mean the sister of this boy named Kai was arrested, and he was beaten, so you came to report the crime and wanted to help him find his sister?"

"That's right."

"Let me touch it."

This sounds simple, but why is it so wrong?

Vincent looked at Rey dumbfounded, as if to say, Isn't this what you usually do? Would you be so kind as to report a crime to help others?

Just to help others, it would be better to arrest Rey directly.

But when he saw Kai's expression, he realised that this was probably the case.

So after confirming again and again, he contacted his subordinates to find information about Gio.

More than ten minutes later, it was found that Gio was drinking at the bar.

A group of people marched toward the wine shop with guards in tow.

As soon as they entered, everyone was shocked. Thinking that something big must have happened, they all turned into a crowd.

Someone recognised Rey and Vincent, but they couldn't figure out why the two came together.

The owner of the wine shop came over to greet him, wiping his sweat.

"My lords, I am just a small businessman, so there should be nothing illegal."

Vincent remained calm and said, "We are here to ask Gio, where is he?"

"Yes, it's upstairs, but they paid for the cladding."

Vincent ignored the boss's explanation and wanted to pass.

The latter gritted his teeth and reached out to stop him. "Master Guardsman, Master Lion comes here often, so it's best not to break the rules."

The young master he was referring to was the only nobleman in Reed City, the second son of Baron Reed, Leanne Reed.

The boss obviously wanted them to quit before they got into trouble.

Vincent was about to force a breakthrough, but Rey stopped him.

"Let's obey the rules. I remember the cladding here is a silver coin, right? I'll give two."

"Boss, we have known each other for a long time. You know that Gio and I don't get along."

"If I vent my anger and you make money, if you get into trouble, isn't it because Guard Chief Vincent is behind you?"

The boss looked at the silver coins with greed in his eyes. This was his profit for a month.

Originally he just stopped them because he didn't want to offend Gio, but now that he had excuses and benefits, he was naturally tempted.

Vincent glanced at Rey and said nothing.

"Ah, I suddenly remembered that Mr Rey had already paid the deposit for the cladding before Mr Gio, but I forgot. Please come up."

The boss's face immediately changed.

Seeing Rey pay the money, Kai had a complicated expression.

This was money he couldn't save even after working as a guard for several months.

Little did he know that Rey didn't care at all about the 2 silver coins, which were only worth 200 points.

When they got upstairs, Rey asked the others to wait while he only brought his two younger brothers inside.

Gio was drinking with his brothers and listening to them report the battle situation when he suddenly saw someone coming in.

"Rey, what are you doing here?"

Before Rey could speak, a younger brother beside him said, "You touched our eldest brother's woman; what do you think you are doing?"

Gio frowned. Although he and Rey didn't like each other, they were the same kind of people after all, so he didn't expect him to set up here.

"You mean your woman is among the people today. How is that possible? I always pick new people to attack. Are you here specifically to cause trouble?"

"Nonsense, I saw it was your people who kidnapped my eldest brother's woman."

Rey signalled to his younger brother to stop, "Where is the person? Tell me now and I will give you a chance."

Gio laughed out loud as if he thought it was funny. "Give me a chance. Since you only brought two people here to trouble me, do you want me to give you a chance to escape?"

"That means there's nothing to talk about?"

Gio's face turned cold, and he became angry when he saw Rey's indifferent expression. He waved his hand, and five or six boys surrounded Rey and the three of them.

Gio was about to teach them a lesson.

Rey snapped his fingers calmly.

The next moment, the door opened with a bang!

A group of men in guard uniforms crowded into the room.

When Gio saw Vincent, his face was pale and trembling with fear. He looked at Rey in disbelief.

"We do the same thing; you set me up?"

Rey ignored him and said to Vincent, "This evidence is sufficient."

"That's enough."

When Gio heard what Vincent said, he became anxious. "What kind of reputation does Rey have? You all know that he has more fun than I do. If you don't arrest him, why don't you arrest me?"

Rey said, "Hey, don't slander me. I'm arresting you to maintain the peace of Reed City. I'm just an enthusiastic citizen. I can't talk nonsense without evidence."

Vincent's eyelids twitched.

Rey was innocent; everyone here knew it, and he acted like he had been wronged.

But he did do something good this time, which changed Vincent's impression of him somewhat.

The guards swarmed up and subdued Gio's younger brother.

Vincent looked at this scum coldly and was about to ask about the victim's whereabouts.

A figure rushed out.

Kai threw Gio down, waving his fists angrily, fighting like a child; he couldn't spare this beast.

Vincent pulled him away before killing anyone and, at the same time, asked where he was.

When Gio was taken away, his nose was bruised and his face was swollen, but he was still shouting, "Don't be complacent; you will still release me later, and everyone will be waiting for me when the time comes. This is something you can't afford to offend."

Rey waved his hand and said, "Take it away."

Let's take a small one, let's get a big one, and let's see how you can mess with it.
