Winston poked his head out of the hole that he had hid in, and scoped the area. He was hoping that the barracuda circled back and attacked him, just so he could test out the power of his upgraded 9mm Starfish Destroyer. He had barely scratched the barracuda with that prior clip that he poured at it, so he was hoping to shoot it dead now.
The task wasn't as easy as he had hoped, however, as he had to wait for the barracuda for another half hour. After that point he saw a barracuda, but it popped up from a different direction, so he didn't even know if it was the same one that he had fought earlier on. This one was a bit more slim, and perhaps a fraction shorter too.
It was a barracuda nonetheless, so it tried to eat him whole as soon as it saw his pink, pointy head. Winston didn't hold back, nor did he hide. He had seen the beast before it saw him, so he emptied a clip at it as soon as he locked eyes with the beast, and the sounds of the gun shots alone scared it away!
"Haha!" He celebrated. "That's right, swim away you big, ugly bastard!"
Afterwards, he slapped the bottom of the magazine, and reloaded it. He was hoping to shoot it a few more times, just to see if he could hurt the beast severely.

Half of the prior bullets had sunk an inch in its skin, and he saw a fountain of blood dripping out of its jaw, so he was already convinced that he could kill it if this beast was stupid enough to keep circling back. However, at this point, he remembered that too many bullets had reverberated across the mountainside, the shots were loud, so he figured that he would grab the attention of the authorities at some point. This made him partially forget about his wish to kill the barracuda.
"If they find me this close to the mines, then I'm fucked." He thought. "Can't stay here for too long. I can't fight barracudas all day, so I hope that big bastard has learned its lesson."
Winston then poked his head out of the hole that he hid in, and realized that the shorter barracuda did not in fact learn its lesson. It had circled back already, it was swimming faster, and its mouth was wide open as it jolted towards him!
"Die, cunt!" He shouted.
Afterwards, he shot at it three times, and then he had to hide again. The beast was too fast, its wounds weren't severe enough to convince it to swim away and flee either, so he had to get out of its way before he suffered the consequences!
Winston was quick with his shots, he even managed to get it in one of its eyes, so even though he was hiding, he had caused plenty of damage already. The barracuda had six bleeding wounds weighing it down!
Just when he was about to get up, and try to shoot at the beast again, his hiding spot became dark all of a sudden. He couldn't see, but he knew what was going on, as he could hear that the barracuda tried to push its way into his hiding spot.
This spooked him at first, but then he saw this as an opportunity. He aimed his gun towards the exit-point of his hiding spot, and shot at the beast five more times! He shot it on the face, and was quickly showered with its blood as a result.
"That oughta do it," He thought.
The barracuda swam away seconds later, but it didn't make it far. It swam around without a sense of direction, and after about ten minutes, it bled out, and died. He could have given it an easier death, but he didn't want to attract the attention of the authorities if he hadn't already, and furthermore, he didn't care to have mercy towards a beast of an animal who tried to eat him whole.

Winston reloaded his gun, because even though he had killed this barracuda, he knew that the first one, the fatter one, could be close by. At the very least, it could be drawn towards the blood of the one that he had killed here.

"That sounds like a lot." He remarked. "I can pour them all in the Starfish Destroyer, hehe."

"I can buy another one?!" He asked, and got beyond excited. "To be honest I thought that you're supposed to give new guns to me for free, but buying them sounds more logical, I guess? Heck, I can barely understand what you're doing here, in my head, but I'm not complaining."
[I'm here to help you, Winston, remember that. As for purchases, you can use system points to buy a lot of things, including bodily upgrades. You can upgrade your physique, however, it's best to upgrade your body when you're at a safer spot, because such upgrades can be very painful and temporarily immobilizing.]
"Noted," He said. "Show me the guns, then. I could use a boomstick, the type that the Captain had."

Seconds later, a system tab popped up in front of his eyes, and it featured the blueprints of two guns. One was a revolver handgun, and the other was a bolt-action rifle.
The bolt-action rifle seemed old, had this horrible shade of brown, and looked quite heavy to carry, but he was immediately drawn to it regardless of its shortfallings. He could tell that it was used for long-range shots, and it definitely beat the range capacity of the average handgun!
However, both of these options were expensive. He looked at the prices, and wondered if he should go out and hunt another barracuda. He certainly needed more points if he was going to buy both of them, or afford upgrading one of them properly, such as the bolt-action rifle.
The revolver handgun cost three-hundred system points, and the bolt-action rifle cost seven-hundred. They weren't cheap, but then again, the base version of these guns were more powerful than the puny, lightly upgraded, 9mm Starfish Destroyer that he had. They did more damage.
