Chapter: 14, Somnius Nihility
Mark used the Godslayer to create a space crack around the area of the inconceivable beings.
Somehow, the porcelain masked being looked toward it, as if noticing the attack beforehand. And it quickly vanished from that place.
With the attack landing on the fog of nothing, a presence disappeared. Mark knew that the invisible being was killed. But how come a being that couldn't sense an attack beforehand was fighting against a being like that mask thing? He thought.
The invisible thing was dangerous but its rank was low compared to that masked figure. Then he heard the spells voice
[You have slain an –unknown- being]
[-Unknown- has intervened for you]
[You have received an Echo: 'Nihility of Nothingness']
Mark couldn't ponder on who this unknown being watching over him could be, as the silver robed figure was now charging at him with a dense fog of something like a dream. Mark made sure to not touch them, and looked at the figure in the middle of the dreamy fog.
He could still use the space cutting slash two more times, because of his increased stats. So, he has to make sure that thing is dealt with within the next two attacks.
With that, he activated the shield of his armor that created a golden layer of protective barrier, which stopped both the Fog of Nothingness and Fog of Dream.
With that, he rushed toward the figure at full speed that is on par with Saints. As soon as he got close, he used an attack and cracked the space and quickly used a true name to quickly get out of the fog.
The figure that was again going to move away when it seemed to notice something, as it halted at its place for a second too long.
Even though it survived by moving away, it received grievous damage. Then as Mark appeared out of the fog and away from the space crack, the porcelain mask appeared right in front of him.
He urgently took a step back and before he could attack again, the humanoid armor knelt down in front of him and stopped moving.
As if anticipating something very meaningful, it looked at him. Before he could understand what was happening, his body went out of control. He unknowingly pointed his sword toward the dream being, and as if knowing something, it pushed armor ahead and stabbed itself onto the dark blade of void.
Soon, its figure turned into sparks of dazzling light as he heard the spell
[You have received an Echo: Somnius, The Dreambound Watcher]
Soon, his body returned to normal as he slumped on the ground, sweating profusely and blood flowed out of his nose and eyes. He felt it; a mysterious high rank being was watching him, now it even took control of his body without giving him strength to resist.
He was now in despair. What if this being takes control of him in the future when he was powerful for some unknown purpose? He thought. Suddenly, he heard a female voice shouting his way.
"Mark!"
"Mark!"
Two figures appeared, a silver haired girl with a sharp look and tired eyes, which seemed to brighten up upon seeing him.
The other was a girl in black attire, wearing a black wood mask that looked pretty familiar to Mark, but before he could think about it, his vision blurred and he blacked out.

Nephis looked at the girl in black holding the unconscious boy in her hand. She hesitated a bit before inquiring "Sunny, wasn't Mark supposed to be in the Dark City? How is he here?"
Sunny dismissed the weaver's mask and said without looking back "My Regression has empowered corruption, it is normal for some things to change from the original timeline."
"Let's go inside the cave, since the fog is already gone. We should rest before fighting the abomination." She said as she picked up Mark's unconscious body in her back and went inside the cave.
Nephis sighed and turned around to look for the other members of the cohort.

Mark woke up and looked at the familiar darkness inside the cave. Seeing him awake, a voice called out to him beside him.
"Oh, you're awake. I'm glad." Said the familiar blind girl with blonde hair, it was Cassie, will also be known as 'Song of the Fallen'.
Seeing her, Mark knew that they had arrived. The cohort has arrived to get the shard memories of this forgotten shore.
While thinking something, another figure came in through the dark passage to the boss chamber, it was Effie.
"Oh, look who's awake? Our so-called ~husband~?" She said teasingly.
"What do you mean?" Mark asked with confusion. For a second he couldn't understand what she meant.
Before he could probe further, another figure came and held her mouth. A beautiful woman gave him a gentle smile and said "Don't mind her. She's just joking."
Mark couldn't recognize her, but what Cassie said made him shocked. "Kai is right, she was just joking~" she said.
It was Kai; the graceful and beautiful woman was Kai, How come he became a woman? He thought. Between his shocks, another voice said from behind them "You're awake? Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere else? Do you feel anything uncomfortable?"
A woman in black came out from behind them and directly sat in front of him as she asked.
"Who are you?" He asked, trying to probe her identity.
"Sunny, why did you rush here suddenly? Oh, he's awake?" A woman in silver appeared and shocked him again.
The hell! Why did Kai and Sunny become women? And how will the story progress with these conditions?
Too overwhelmed by shock, Mark didn't resist being unconscious again.
