Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 : he is such a trash

And true to his style — or maybe just out of old habit — he kicked open the classroom door with a loud BANG.

Because no matter what had happened outside...

Inside this Academy — Daniel still had a certain image to maintain.

The rebellious troublemaker.

The arrogant son of the Johnson family.

The boy who didn't care about rules.

As soon as he made that dramatic entry, once again... every single pair of eyes in the classroom turned towards him.

Including the teacher's —

Who was already present in the class.

The moment the teacher saw Daniel kicking the door open like that, a wave of frustration washed over his face.

"Is this how you enter a classroom? What kind of behaviour is this?" he snapped, visibly irritated.

Daniel, of course, didn't care.

He just asked casually —

"May I come in, Teacher?"

The teacher let out an annoyed sigh, rubbing his forehead.

"Keep behaving like this... and you won't last long in this Academy. Sooner or later, you will get expelled," the teacher warned.

Daniel didn't reply.

He simply stepped into the classroom.

And that's when Peter — the ever-so-perfect elder son of the Johnson family — stepped in front of him.

"Fix your behaviour, Daniel," Peter said coldly. "Because of you... our Johnson family's reputation is getting ruined."

Daniel just glared at him for a second —

Then brushed past him like he didn't even exist...

And walked straight to the last bench.

That ignore hit Peter harder than any insult.

His face darkened with anger.

He took a step forward — clearly wanting to teach Daniel a lesson —

But before he could say or do anything... Petra grabbed his arm.

"Let it go, Peter," Petra said calmly. "He's not even worth it. Talking about him is just wasting time."

Peter clenched his jaw.

"He's such trash in our family," Peter muttered bitterly.

Petra shook her head slightly.

"Forget it, Peter. Looking at his abilities... and his behaviour... I doubt he'll last long in this academy anyway."

Meanwhile, Daniel settled himself on the last bench — unfazed, uncaring.

And in his mind, he thought to himself —

"Why does Peter hate me this much? Looks like things between us were never good... maybe... just maybe... it's always been like this..."

Daniel, along with Ren, Rey, and Rex, headed straight to the Academy's cafeteria. As expected, there was already a long line of students waiting for their food.

But Daniel? He had never been the type to stand in line for food — not in his past life, not in his old school, and definitely not now.

Back then, his so-called followers would bring his food straight to his table.

Old habits die hard.

So, naturally, Daniel just started walking straight ahead, ignoring the entire line like it didn't even exist. Rey, Ren, and Rex casually followed behind him.

As they were about to cross a few students, one of them suddenly stepped forward and blocked Daniel's path.

"Hey! Where do you think you're going? Get in line!" the guy snapped.

Daniel paused.

Slowly, he turned his head and stared at the guy like he was some annoying insect buzzing around his ear.

"And why would I?" Daniel asked lazily.

The student frowned. "If you want food here, then you have to wait in line like everyone else!"

Daniel casually glanced at the ridiculously long line stretching behind him. It was even longer than before now. More students were joining in every second.

He noticed some of the main cast characters standing obediently in line too.

'Wait... even the main characters line up for food? That's weird... Pretty sure the novel never mentioned this part...'

Turning slightly, Daniel looked at Rey.

"Is there some rule in this Academy that says we must stand in line to get food?"

Rey shrugged. "Not that I know of. There's nothing like that written in the Academy rules."

Hearing that, Daniel turned back to the student blocking his way.

"You heard him," Daniel said, smirking faintly. "There's no rule that says I have to stand in line."

And just like that... Daniel brushed past him without a care in the world.

Ren, Rey, and Rex quietly followed behind him like it was the most natural thing ever.

The student they left behind was fuming with anger.

But before he could say or do anything foolish, the guy standing in front of him whispered, "Let it go, bro... He is from the Johnson Family. We can't afford to mess with them."

Magic or no magic... In this world, there was still a huge difference between an ordinary hero and someone born into a powerful family.

As soon as Daniel finished speaking and casually stepped forward, the boy who had stopped him earlier clicked his tongue in irritation.

"So what?" the boy sneered. "This is the same guy who already got beaten up by a nobody — someone without any powerful background — and yet... Johnson family didn't even take any action against that Justin guy. In fact, Peter Johnson ended up becoming friends with him."

The students nearby nodded subtly, whispering among themselves.

Of course, it wasn't like the Johnson family didn't care. No matter how trashy Daniel's reputation might be, the fact remained — his last name was still Johnson. His defeat had directly affected their pride.

That's why Peter himself had gone to challenge Justin later — not to take revenge exactly, but to see with his own eyes whether the boy who defeated a Johnson was truly worth the hype.

But after witnessing Justin's abilities... Peter's mindset had changed. Instead of hostility, Peter chose friendship.

As for Daniel?

Ever since his return to the Academy, he hadn't tried to retaliate against Justin at all.

After all, he wasn't the original Daniel anymore.

Messing with Justin meant messing with the original plotline — something Daniel wasn't eager to do just yet.

And besides... as long as Peter was around, there wasn't much Daniel could do to Justin anyway.

This entire situation had shifted the atmosphere inside the Academy. Some students, who earlier trembled in fear at the mere mention of the Johnson family, had slowly begun to lose that fear — though none of them were as bold as Justin to outright go against Daniel to his face.

While all this chatter buzzed around, another student, standing nearby, suddenly leaned in and whispered,

"Y'know... I kinda feel like Peter and Daniel don't get along that well."

Hearing this, the first boy smirked — a mischievous glint flashing in his eyes.

"Heh... if that's true," he said with an evil grin, "maybe if we mess with Daniel a little... we could get on Peter's good side. Who knows? He might even become friends with us too."
