"Freedom."
Velsun blinked in surprise.
"That is a nice idea."
Zalario grinned at that.
"I thought you were like a serious duty bounded type of guy."
Zalario chuckled softly."I am a duty-bound person; I will obey every order of Lord Veldanava; however, no one should be bound by fate or duty alone, which is why I value freedom and individuality."
"Well, that is a good idea; I can stick with that type of guy."
Velsun and Zalario settled into a comfortable silence. As they left the palace, they were both flying straight through the sky.
Then something in the distance caught their attention—a battlefield covered in flames and bodies.
Velsun had a deadpanned look on his face.
"Bruh, I just got into this world, and already there is a fight between humans?"
Velsun and Zalario descended from the skies. Both hovering above the battlefield, concealing the chaos that unfolded beneath them, a brutal war between two human civilizations raged.
People clashed with swords and spears, magic spells illuminated the battlefield, and the cries of the wounded echoed throughout the air. The land bore scars from destroyed and burned fields.
Zalario observed the Carnage with his usual Indifference."Pointless conflict," he muttered.
Velsun remained silent, his golden eye scanning the battlefield, watching humans fight felt... Strange they were so fragile yet so determined.
"These humans are exactly like my previous life: war, fight, conquest... why?" Velsun pondered, feeling a little lost.
Some Warriors fought with unwavering bravery, while others trembled in terror. Leaders and healers desperately tried to save the fallen comrades, but despite their efforts, the cycle of bloodshed continued.
Velsun simply looked at it."What is the reason for this conflict? "Land or power?"
Zalario's expression remained unchanged: "Humans are bound by greed and fear; unlike us, they value eternity, and their limited time makes them desperate."
Velsun thought about what he had said. Every day was valuable to humans because they only had 100 years to live, or perhaps a thousand years for these high humans. As a result, they battled to control their destiny, even if it meant destroying one another.
As Velsun pondered this, a warrior caught his attention.
In the midst of the chaos, one warrior stood out from the crowd.
A young man wielding a strange silver blade cut through Enemies with skill far beyond that of normal humans. His sword moved too smoothly and efficiently, and his presence was unique.
Velsun simply looked at the battlefield unfolding in front of them, arms still crossed.
{Aye lad,} Mimir's voice echoed in Velsun's thoughts.
{I am not going to lie: humans are terrible.}
Velsun merely raised and eyebrow.
"Why is that the case?Mimir?"
{What? It's the truth} Mimir continued with a casual tone. {They wage wars over land they will only live on for a blink of an eye.They betray and deceive, repeating history as a broken spell.
Zalario, who had been silently observing the battlefield, turned his gaze towards Velsun.
"Something entertaining?"
Velsun shakes his head. "Nothing just my skill is remaining me how terrible humans can be."
Zalario's face did not change. "your skill is correct."
Velsun let out a sigh." Geez,both of your just full of optimism,huh?"
{Lad optimism is for fools. True wisdom comes from knowing the world sucks and still laughing at it.}
Velsun blinked. "You might actually be on to something." Before Mimir could respond, the battle below took a 360-degree turn. Near the enemy army's rear lines, in desperation, a cloaked mage, possibly their headmage, began chanting, forming a complex summoning circle using array purple energy.
Zalario's eyes narrowed."A Summoning Ritual."
Velsun's eyes glowed slightly as he analyzed the situation. this sheer amount of Magicules being used made it clear this wasn't just some lesser spirit or weak monster.
{This fools are calling forth something they can not handle, something nasty.} warned Mimir with a slightly serious tone. {that ain't no lesser daemon that's a archdaemon they are the summoning if my calculation is correct}
"Archdaemon? Seems weak to me." whistled Velsun.
{Of course he is weak you are a true Dragon for Veldanava's sake what did you expect that ain't no primordial you know .}
"Guess not everyone can be as awesome as me." remarked Velsun with shake of his head.
The summoning Circle flared violently, and with a loud crack, the world fell into darkness. As the figure emerged, the air became heavy, and a suffocating aura of pure malice spread across the battlefield.
The tall figure in black robes, with black hair and piercing golden eyes, appears mostly human, as do all high-ranking daemons; the higher the rank, the more human the appearance.
The daemon stepped forward, and his mere presence sent waves of fear through both parties.
The archdemon had arrived.
The mage arrogantly commanded the arch daemon, which appeared to be a dick move: "Daemon, I am the one who summoned you; hurry up and end the Silver bladed warrior Reinhart."
The archdaemon was amused, gazing down at the maze with a cruel smile, "So you want me to end the human huh?"
"Yes, did you not hear what I said? "Hurry up and listen to me."
"Idiot."With a casual flick off clawed fingers the Mage was turned to Ash fire magic perhaps. His screams were cut short in an instant.
{Hah, that serves him right.}
Mimir chuckled.
{It never gets old for people to believe they have control over situations beyond their control.}
Velsun shook his head, but remained focused on the battlefield; the warrior with the Silver Blade was now facing an archdemon.
"Yo Zalario, do you mind if I recruit this daemon and human?" inquired Velsun.
Zalario looked at Velsun as if he were looking at the biggest idiot in history; a daemon and a Primordial angel on the same side was unheard of.
Will you recruit him, lad? Your choices are certainly bizarre.
"It is, after all, Velsun's bizarre adventure."
{Is it a Jojo reference?}
"Do whatever you want; I am only here to observe what you do, so I do not care." Zalario replied, crossing his arms.
"Thank you, Zalario," Velsun said with a smile.
Returning to the battle, the archdaemon took slow, measured steps towards the Silver Bladed Warrior, his eyes gleaming with amusement. The entire battlefield was silent, as the Archdaemon's presence was far greater than the high humans could handle.
"You must be the so called champion of these people Reinhart?"The daemon mused, his voice smooth but full of condescension. "I hope you can entertain me for the time being; after you, I will finish all of these little humans in here right now."
That sentence struck fear in the hearts of everyone. The soldiers on both sides were stunned, and a sense of unease settled over them.
The silver-bladed warrior tightened his grip on his silver sword.
"As if I would allow you to do it."
"I was not asking," the daemon responded with an evil smile.
In an instant, the Warrior's body radiated with power.
"A unique skill?"
Velsun narrowed his eyes in curiosity.
"Mimir scan him what kind of skill is that?"
{One second lad.}
As Mimir's analysis began, Velsun's vision was obscured by a faint golden light.
After a moment, his voice returns, laced with intrigue.
{Ho ho this is something interesting lad that human got himself a unique skill astral edge}
Velsun raised his brow."Astral edge?"
{It allows his attack to pass through physical and magical defenses, ignoring durability and cutting through almost everything.}
Velsun's grin widened. "That is good for a human because it means he can negate the effects of a Daemon's Magic body and attack him with physical force."
{Affirmative.}
Down below, the Silver Bladed Warrior's blade shimmered with a translucent glow as he dashed forward faster than human eyes could follow, slashing at the demon.
The daemon simply closed his eyes, not noticing any changes in Reinhart."
"Idiot."
But then his instinct told him to dodge, and he did so at the last second, but he was not unarmed; there was a thin gash on the Daemon's robe.
The archdaemon slowly looked down at the wound and then back at the warrior, his eyes narrowing dangerously.
"You.... wounded me?"
The warrior spun his sword once and exhaled with a smirk, "It appears I did."
The Daemon's grin returned, this time filled with pure malice: "hehe... and here I was going to go easy on you but now I think I will have to be a little serious."
Up in the sky Velsun crossed his arms.
"This might actually become interesting."
Zalario gave a slight nod. "It is rare, but not impossible, for a human to face an arch demon."
Below the battlefield, a storm of clashing steels and dark magic raged. The Silver-bladed Warrior moved like a Phantom, his unique skill allowing his attacks to bypass the Daemon's Magic body. Each swing of his sword left invisible wounds on the archdaemon's body that should not have been possible.
The daemon smiled in spite of his injuries. "You are a very amusing human."
The self-assured warrior responds, "I am a high human; a low daemon like you has no chance against me." His eyes beamed with focus as he waved through the Daemon's counterattacks on each spell.
he dodged with super natural precision
Velsun stared intently, arms still crossed.
"He is actually putting up a good fight."
Zalario gave a small nod. "His skill is strong, but-."
