Green Gates were the rarest of all the Gates so far, and there has only been one of them ever since Superhumans first showed up. It was the same gate that was closed by the Five Rulers and cemented their place as the strongest in the world.
Jason waved his hand, and the Orange Key vanished into his alternate dimension. Jason's mind link with the beasts in his alternate dimension allowed him to know what they were feeling or thinking, and Jason was surprised when he looked inside and saw that they were having fun playing in the alternate dimension.
Some of them were lying around, while others were jumping and running after each other like regular dogs. Jason knew that the Alternate Dimension was large, but he still didn't know just how big it was since he hadn't been inside it yet.
'It has to be extremely large if they can run around like that.'
Jason shook his head and sat up in bed. He brought out the [Book of The Apocalypse] tab and read through it again. Jason couldn't get the fact that his father was out there somewhere out of his mind, and reading the tab just cemented his desire to find him all over again.
Jason's eyes trailed down to the area where Katarina Ford was written, and he hummed. He had to find her and ask her about all this. What was coming for them, and what really happened inside that Gate ten years ago? From what his father said, it was obvious that the Five Rulers didn't tell the whole truth about what happened to the world.
Jason was going to get answers no matter what, but first, he needed power.
Being weak was only going to make him a target for others. If he was planning to go up against the Five Rulers, then he would need the power to surpass the Five Rulers. The Five Rulers were all SS Rank beings with more power than anyone else on Earth.
They were treated like gods, and every move they made was seen as something world-changing. They each lived in a different part of the world. One in Germany, one in Japan, another in South Africa, the fourth one in Brazil, and the final one, Katarina Ford, here in America.
People claimed that they did this because they wanted to make sure there was always someone to protect the world from any continent, but Jason just thought they couldn't stand each other and decided to move away so they didn't have to interact.
Jason scratched his chin absentmindedly. Katarina Ford was hailed as the strongest Supporter in existence. They said that her power was so great, that she could quadruple the power output of an A Rank for more than an hour and make them fight on the same level as an S Rank easily!
That was very impressive!
Most Supporters only granted people a 10 to 30% boost in their stats with their ability, and most A Rank Supporters could only grant a 40% boost or less.
It meant that Katarina was so far ahead of them all that she alone could decide the way a battle would end just by using her ability properly. With that much of a boost, she would be able to increase a fighter's power by more than 300%.
Jason sighed as he finally closed down the tabs and swung his legs over to sit on the edge of the bed. He would need to get a lot stronger if he was going to face off against someone like that. But for tonight, he decided he would just take a breather. Tomorrow, he planned on going to the SMD building to trade in the Magic Crystals he got, and he needed to get some rest before then.
But Jason suddenly remembered that he wasn't alone in the house, and he raised a brow. He hadn't heard a single thing from Gina all this time. Normally, she would be watching a soap opera and making noise right about now, but the entire house was silent for some reason.
Jason got to his feet and walked out of the room. His house was a one-bedroom apartment with a small kitchen and bathroom attached to it. This was all he could afford without breaking the bank, and since he sent a lot of his money to his mom to help with his sister's school, he didn't bother buying a lot.
Jason walked into the living room and was surprised to see Gina sitting on the couch, facing away from him. She was wearing a thin singlet that barely held her boobs together and short shorts that exposed her thick thighs, and Jason felt his eyes lock onto the mound of flesh that was exposed from the side of the singlet.
Gina might think that Jason was always unaffected by the way she dressed, but Jason just had a lot of self-control. He was a teenager for fuck's sake, it was impossible for him not to notice the way she was always dressing around him.
Gina's hands were hugging her legs close to her body, and she was holding a can of beer in one hand while staring at the TV with a faraway look in her eyes. There was another can open beside her, and Jason wondered how many she had drunk in such a short time.
The TV was on, but it was muted, and Jason could tell she wasn't interested in what was playing at all.
Jason walked up to her and ruffled her hair from behind. Gina jolted in shock before she put a hand to her chest and released a sigh.
"You scared the hell out of me."
Jason raised a brow while leaning against the back of the couch.
"Did you forget where you were? What the hell are you doing? You're not tired yet?"
Gina shrugged while turning back to the TV. She just didn't feel like she could sleep. Gina had been out here staring at the TV all this time, and she couldn't even bring herself to lie down and rest since there were so many thoughts running through her head. And the one that was at the front of her mind was about Jason.
What were they now?
Gina wanted to ask Jason this question, but she was afraid. She didn't want to seem like she was rushing things by bringing up what happened earlier, so she was trying to control herself. But at the same time, it was killing her to know.
Gina turned to her right and glanced at Jason's face. He was leaning against the back of the couch, so his face was right beside her own. Gina's eyes ran over his features, and she couldn't help but think about how handsome he was. Jason had a chiseled jawline and piercing eyes that could cut into your soul with a glance, and if not for the fact that Gina was his friend, she would've never believed that he was only eighteen.
Gina turned away quickly when she saw him turn to look at her, and she buried her face into her knees to hide her blush.
"What's wrong?"
Jason asked this with a frown, and Gina shook her head.
"It's nothing. Forget it. What about you, why aren't you asleep?"
Jason chuckled.
"Can't really sleep. I have way too much energy."
Gina laughed at that. She totally understood how Jason felt. She felt the same way when she first got her Gift. It was almost like her entire body was filled with a nonstop surge of adrenaline, and she couldn't sleep at all for the next few days. It would eventually wear off and become normal, but for now, Jason would be way too energetic to sleep properly.
Jason hummed, and Gina turned to look at him. She saw a strangely serious look on his face, and she became worried about what was troubling him. She asked him if he was okay, and Jason shook his head. He tried to smile at her, but Gina could tell that his smile was being forced, and she frowned and told him to stop.
"Just tell me what's wrong."
Gina leaned towards Jason to try and make him talk, and Jason closed his eyes and sighed before speaking.
"It's just going to be really different from now on. A lot of things are happening at the same time, and it's hard to take it all in. I feel like a weight's been lifted from my shoulders, but now another one was put there. Something even heavier. It's just a lot."
