At the Martial Arts Training Ground
I walked out of the library and stood at the ground at the appointed time. Hundreds of disciples were standing around like spectators in a boxing stadium
their eyes fixed on me The important fighter that everyone had come to cheer for... cheering for me to lose.
On the other side of the field, Master Mordo was already waiting. This would be my first martial arts duel, one-on-one with weapons and spells.
Master Mordo had clearly said
"I will make you proficient"
Even though I had only been here for 5 days, which was faster than other cultivators who had to study ancient language reading for months, practice spinning sling rings with their wrists swing their arms to create warp circles for another month and practice Mystic Arts, creating whips fans swords and shields for another month.
Others take a quarter, but I only have 5 days to compete and practice seriously with the Master.
It is a difference that everyone is interested in whether for good or bad reasons but it makes me feel like I am the main event at an MMA event right now.
"Are you ready, Strange?" Master Mordo asked while swinging a dark brown staff about 2 meters long. The wood looked smooth There was nothing strange but I knew that this was definitely not an ordinary stick.
"Ready" I replied and prepare fight My left hand slightly turned my wrist to the left summoning the sacred sword of the Vishanti to hold.
Its shape was not much different from the ordinary swords that Mystic Arts created except that there were many tiny characters flowing inside the ancient Chinese-style sword frame which was curved and looked like a blade attached to the tip of a halberd. It felt like amber-colored milk tea with many pearls floating around inside.
The right fingers were clenched together in a tiger's paw position. The five nails had golden light, appearing as ancient Pali-Sanskrit characters like they were painted by an artist who had carefully drawn them. Each nail has a meaning in order from the thumb to the little finger:
Akami the visitor
which means myself the visitor to this dimension in this body.
And the other 4 words are the basic elements of all things in this world according to the concept of India
पृथ्वी Earth / Apo Water / Vayo Wind / Tesho Fire
which have the properties to enhance the abilities of the person who carves these letters and the user according to that element.
Earth enhances physical strength like wearing steel armor.
Water enhances mental strength like still, calm water.
Wind enhances movement speed and flowing thoughts.
Fire enhances the intensity of physical attacks and spells.
As for Akami... it doesn't have much effect except to increase my self-confidence.
I adapted it from the 5 basic elements according to the Chinese concept which has gold as the core that holds the 4 elements together enhancing the 4 qualities to be easily molded into the body.
But I chose to modify it because I was afraid that these additional powers would be too much and cause problems with this body. . .
With my spirit Law, residing in Strange's body.
And... Cyttorak Watoomb didn't speak, didn't talk, didn't answer anything about this matter.
I don't know if it was intentional teasing or if the Queen forced me to be quiet, to let me think, analyze, calculate, and process by myself, so that I can grow on the path of the highest sorcerer by myself, not relying only on the help and advice of high-level beings like them.
"Wow... When did you learn the Holy Sword of the Vishanti?" Mordo's eyes widened slightly in surprise. Although his face was still calm his tone contained a lot of admiration.
"And that... the Five Elements Tiger Claw... But why did you choose the word Akami instead of Kanjana (a golden glowing object)?" Master Wong who was standing quite a distance from the arena but had precise, sharp eyes, shouted a question intentionally (again) for everyone around to hear.
"I learned it 2 hours ago. As for the claw I modified it a little. Because I have not been a visitor here for long"
I answered simply as if answering a general question like what the weather is like today. But the content created a huge ripple among the people around me.
Of course, a new kid who can learn magic in 2 hours and then use it right away, and dare to modify the spell to suit himself even though he has only been studying for 5 days is something that goes against common sense and is far beyond expectations.
"Heh, let's see if he's as good as he's bragging... huh!" Master Mordo snorted in displeasure before shouting and rushing towards me quickly. With both arms firmly gripping the staff, he leapt forward in a position that almost turned his entire body into a large spear.
It seemed like a thoughtless person, going all out and going all out
but I didn't think a skilled master would do something so thoughtless. If he were to dodge and counter
he might fall into a trap that he might have set up on the ground, but if he stood up straight and defended, he might be attacked by his other cards hidden under this simple attack.
'Even though I don't want to, I have to show off a little.'
The sword in his hand was thrown out. It spun around itself faster than a normal person could throw it because I controlled it to increase its rotation. From the Sword of Vishanti it had become a Chakram of Vishanti
Shingggg~
The sacred chakram quickly split Master Mordo's body into two halves amidst the screams of the people around.
But I took a quick look and knew that this was... an illusion!
Because there was no blood no flesh nothing came out of his body except when his body fell to the ground
there was a red liquid that looked like blood for a moment. But a doctor like me who had some experience in operating on people combined with Strange's experience of operating all his life, immediately saw that
'You're very good at using illusion spells fooling hundreds of people even though it wasn't smooth. Or maybe you have to thank the water claws for strengthening your mind.'
The chakram of the Vishanti that split Mordo's body were called back to fly, splitting into 8 parts that spun around like 8 crescent moons sweeping the area around Mordo's corpse at a height of 100 centimeters which was half the height of a normal person.
Clang!
Chinggggggggggg
The crescent moon returned to form a sword in only 7 parts because the other part was blocked Until it shattered into a golden mist at the 7 o'clock point of Mordo's body on the ground facing me.
"Tch, I didn't think you'd be this good at spell altering"
A figure in a dark green cultivator robe slowly appeared in front of hundreds of people who had been cursing me at first some of whom had summoned their mystic weapons and were ready to attack me.
Fortunately, Master Wong had stopped them, and the other masters had warned their disciples in the area that
"The duel isn't over yet."
At first, everyone didn't believe it until Mordo revealed his body, along with the disintegrating phantom corpse, which caused cheers of joy relief and surprise throughout the arena.
"Well... I'm a surgeon," I replied shortly, while tightening my grip on the scythe in my hand ready to face the wooden staff that seemed ready to strike and stab me at any moment.
"A surgeon... no , you must Valtor's serpent, your poison trick really deadly," Master Wong praised. . . A sentence that I don't know if it can be called a compliment
"Valtor's Serpent... That's the name of a spell ? I guess. Summoning a snake to help fight. Interesting."
"Before you think of learning a new spell, defeat me first, Strange!"
"Come on, Master Mordo!!"
