CHAPTER NINE: LOVESTRUCK TEENAGERS
I will be coming over to your Kingdom to fight off the witches we can as well get to know each other I will have to take my leave now Lucy" I said not wanting to tarnish her image as we had stayed long in the garden and I can see a servant hiding behind the pillars at the end of the other hall muttering to himself as he couldn't hear what we were discussing nor see us clearly. "I will be waiting, bye riguez" she said with a small smile on her face and she returned to admiring the stars while I walked away.
PRESENT TIME
He smiled as he reminisced the past, he smiled widely again only to realize he was before her and not saying a word "I umm um how are you doing Lucy dear" he asked feeling embarrassed, he knows for sure Lucy would tease him "your majesty seems like you are in a good mood today or much better than that which made you come to my chamber smiling like a lovestruck teenager, what makes you so lost and happy I will like to experience that" she said with a chuckle, staring at her all my annoyance disappeard and I was filled with a positive energy "my dear Lucy you wouldn't want to experience it would you" I asked "on a second thought no I don't want to be smiling so silly you know, tell me why were you looking so annoyed" she asked "it doesn't matter anymore just a foolish Duke, Lucy I want you to take care of the maidens that would be coming for lectures and after that would be living in the palace, you are not the type that takes side with cunning people and these ladies should have many amongst them, not all of them are wise and kind but with you they would know their limits"
he said truthfully with a proud smile and a face full of admiration for the only woman who was made for him alone just as he was for her alone too even though he has two other queens but this woman has his heart, love, trust and attention all to herself.
He knew that if he had met her earlier he wouldn't marry the rest even though it was for the alliance
" ok your majesty I would do just that but.." she turned her face to the left and turned back to the king with a sad look
"your majesty I thought you were missing me and that was your reason for coming here, I'm sorry if I was having high hopes about your visit" Lucy said with a pout on her lips, she was right he really missed her like crazy but he needs to tease her just like she did to him
"really don't tell me you are becoming too attached love that you would miss me even when I left here just this morning, I just left you for six hours and you're already craving for me, now who is the lovestruck teenager between us love" he said with a mischievous smile gracing his lips as he stared at her.
Lucy was taken aback and wanted to reply but her lips were shut by another and when they were about to drown in the kiss someone walked in and interrupted their moment
"your majesty you're here, greetings to you your majesty and to you queen Lucy" queen Monica said, she is a beauty more beautiful than queen Lucy with her blonde hair neatly arranged in a bun with jewelries placed in the right place unlike queen Lucy who loved to be simple yet elegant, queen Monica loves to look extremely luxurious like queen Ruth so as to compete with her.
Breaking the kiss Rodiguez turned around annoyed because someone disrupted his blissful moment
" Monica why would you barge in like that, seems like you lack more respect by the day" he said angrily as he glared daggers at the woman
"my king I apologize I wanted to have a word with queen lucy but I didn't know you were here and in an awkward position with queen Lucy by this time of the day" Monica said as she blushed, but she was extremely jealous of Lucy because she always has the king's attention even though she was more beautiful than her,
yet the king won't look her way instead he chose his third wife, she didn't know why Lucy would still look like one in her early twenties when she is in her early thirties, deep down she knew that the king loves only her but he shouldn't abandon them just like that even if he can't reciprocate her feelings, the only thing that calms her down was her son who is the only heir to the throne at least even if the king did not notice her after doing everything she can to make him marry her all her schemes did not waste, she snapped out of her thoughts when the king started speaking
"Monica you're not a young girl anymore so stop blushing besides we were only kissing and if you hadn't interrupted us earlier I would have been deep inside her trust me" he blurted and the queens stared at him shocked at the brazen words they heard from him
"why are you both staring at me as if I'm wrong in anyway, I'm not the type that wouldn't want to finish what I started ok or wouldn't you love that as well lucy love " he said staring at Lucy with soo much affection not caring about the third wheel in the room glaring at him filled with jealousy, envy and annoyance but she masked it up,
"your majesty since you're having a quality time with queen Lucy I would take my leave, but please your majesty do not forget to visit me too when you're free"
she said putting on her best smile making her look more charming "I will Monica when I have the time"
Monica rejoiced in her heart knowing that her feminine charms won't fail her "thank you your majesty I would take my leave" she said and left fulfilled.
