Welcome to the world of Ortha, a realm defined by fairness and harmony. Ortha is divided into five regions: Northa, Soudu, Eastan, Westor, and Centrio.
Once, the world of Ortha was peaceful—until the Dark Portal appeared out of nowhere, unleashing the legions of the Dark Realms, who were intent on conquering the land.
The God of Ortha refused to let his world fall into darkness. He empowered certain individuals to defend not only themselves but also their world. He called these individuals the Chosen Champions.
The champions are Yoshi of Eastan, Kenji of Northa, Caori of Soudu, Saigo of Westor, Gozen of Centrio, and Oda the Traveler. Each was granted unique powers that reflected their personalities.
As the people of Ortha learned and prepared for battle, they struggled to control their newfound abilities. They gathered their weapons to defend their world against the dark realm's invasion, led by the tyrannical King Draxus.
King Draxus, a dictatorial ruler of the dark realm, was determined to conquer and rule the peaceful world with the aid of his generals, Hanzo and Zuk, who believed in his ambition.
Hanzo, one of King Draxus's generals, ordered an attack on the Centrio Region, aiming to claim it as the first kingdom in Ortha. As the people of Centrio readied for war, they quickly learned their enemies were approaching. Without hesitation, they emerged to defend their land.
The clash began, and God commanded his champions to travel to Centrio to assist in the fight. He assured them that their powers would become clearer during battle, and they rushed to the Centrio region to protect and save its people.
Upon arriving in Centrio, the champions immediately tested their abilities to help fend off the attackers. Each champion possessed distinct powers: Kenji had super strength, Saigo wielded stealth and invisibility, Gozen could summon swords, Yoshi had super speed, Caori mastered telekinesis with a force field, and Oda provided support to enhance the abilities of the other champions.
Once they discovered and honed their powers, they quickly turned the tide of battle and defeated their enemies. With the Centrio region saved, their heroic journey in the world of Ortha began.
Decades passed since the champions' victory over the invaders, and peace settled over their world. However, Oda, one of the Chosen Champions, remained vigilant. They were still unaware of how the dark forces had infiltrated their world, and the looming threat of retaliation hung over them like a dark cloud.
To prepare for any future invasions, they established an academy to help individuals from all regions explore and master the powers bestowed upon them by the God. This academy, named the Chosen Champion Academy, was built in the Centrio region, the heart of Ortha, to train and empower the next generation of defenders.
Decades ago, many people were aware of their powers and abilities, but some used them for the wrong reasons, such as violence, abuse of power, and particularly revenge. This is why the academy are cautious and warn their students to avoid the path of evil.
Among the new generation of chosen students who will study at the Academy is a young man named Connor. His power, discovered by his parents, is power augmentation—the ability to enhance anything he touches. His parents want him to enroll in the academy to learn more about his abilities and to master control over them.
Connor aspires not only to understand his powers but also to learn how to use them wisely, hoping to become one of the newly chosen champions someday.
While gazing at the statues of the Chosen Champions outside the academy, he accidentally bumps into someone. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to," he says quickly.
"Don't worry, it's okay. No need to apologize," she replies.
"What is your name?" she asks Connor.
"Ah, my name is Connor Hanson from the Eastan region. What about you?" he introduces himself and inquires about her name.
"My name is Amy Farsight from the Centrio region. Nice to meet you," she responds.
"Nice to meet you too," he replies.
"Sorry, but I need to go. I hope we see each other again soon. Bye!" Amy says as she heads towards the academy.
As Connor watches her leave, two young men approach him, teasingly asking, "Nice approach, man. By the way, what's your name?" They prompt him for an introduction, and he introduces himself as he did with Amy.
"I'm Ivan Impactum from the Westor region, and this is Hoka Harden from the Northa region. Nice to meet you, man. Would you like to join us on our way to the academy?" Ivan introduces himself and invites Connor to accompany them.
"Sure, let's go," Connor replies, grateful for his new friends, and they walk together toward the academy.
Upon entering the academy, they find many students forming a line for identity verification before they enter their dormitory. As they line up, Hoka approaches a young man wearing a hoodie and asks, "Excuse me, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what is it?" the hoodie-clad young man replies.
"Why do we have to line up? I thought we were already chosen from our regions last week," Hoka inquires, curious about the situation.
"Mr. Walter, one of the professors at the academy, instructed us to line up for verification of each student enrolling," he answers informatively.
"Okay, I understand. Thanks! By the way, what is your name?" Hoka expresses his gratitude and asks for the young man's name.
"I'm Yuto Inotah from Eastan. And you?" he replies, returning the question.
"I'm Hoka Harden from the Northa region. I just met new friends today—this is Ivan from Westor and Connor from Eastan, the same region as me," Hoka introduces himself and his friends.
"Nice to meet you all," Yuto replies.
"It's nice to meet you too, man," Ivan says. After concluding their conversation, they all proceed for verification.
Once the verification is complete, they move into the dormitory to prepare for their first day of classes. Each room accommodates two students, and each student is assigned a designated room number. Connor and his new friends set off to locate their room.
"I guess we need to find our rooms better," Connor tells his new friends.
"Except you've already found your roommate," Ivan replies, looking at Hoka, who is holding the same room number.
"That's good to hear. You just need to find the room," Connor says to them.
"See you later in class then, and you too, Yuto," Hoka replies to Connor and Yuto as they proceed to find their room.
Later, Connor and Yuto separately look for their rooms. Connor finally finds his room, but someone is already inside. As he enters, he sees a young girl with short hair wearing a mask. Connor approaches her and asks for her name.
"Hi, I'm Connor Hanson from the Eastan region. May I know your name?" Connor asks her.
"Sandra Darcy from the Soudu region," she replies while fixing her belongings, seemingly indifferent to his presence. Noticing her lack of engagement, Connor decides to focus on his own things. After they finish organizing, Connor approaches her again, but she suddenly leaves the room. "I guess she prefers to be alone until she knows someone better. Better to leave her alone for now," Connor thinks.
As Yuto passes by, he sees Connor and calls out to him.
"Connor, we need to go to the stadium," Yuto informs him.
"Why, Yuto?" Connor asks.
"One of the professors told us to proceed to the stadium for an introduction to the professors and the academy's policies," Yuto explains.
"We'd better go there," Connor responds as he leaves his room with Yuto.
When they arrive at the stadium, many students are waiting for the academy program to start. They spot Ivan and Hoka searching for them. Ivan notices them and approaches.
"Connor, Yuto, over here!" Ivan calls. Connor and Yuto join them and unexpectedly meet someone new.
"Guys, meet Yen Bladewill from Centrio," Ivan introduces their new friend.
"Hello, guys! What are your names?" Yen asks.
"I'm Yuto, and this is Connor. We're from Eastan. Nice to meet you!" Yuto replies, introducing themselves as Connor waves hello.
"I think the program is about to start," Yen says, glancing at the professor heading to the stage.
As the professor steps to the center of the stage, he begins introducing the academy and the program.
"Good morning, students. Welcome to Chosen Champion Academy! My name is Mr. Viktor Axylion, the principal of the Academy. I would like to introduce my fellow professors, who will teach you how to discover, learn, and understand the powers God has given each of you. You will also learn how to become champions who are willing to defend our world against enemies and bring back peace," the principal, Professor Viktor, explains.
"Now I would like to introduce your advisers. The adviser for Section 1A is Mr. Walter Clonoski, the adviser for Section 2B is Mr. Rowan Anderson, and the adviser for Section 3C is Mr. Hashi Ketsugi." He introduces the advisers of the three class sections to the students.
"I would also like to introduce the faculty professors. Meet your Guidance Counsellor, Mr. Kenzo Takuma. Meet the Medic Professor, Ms. Odessa Evermore, and lastly, meet your Vice Principal, Ms. Evonne Richards." He introduces the faculty professors of the academy to the students.
After finishing the introductions of his fellow professors to the students, the principal began discussing the academy's policies.
While the principal talked about the policies, Ms. Evonne, the Vice Principal, who possesses telepathy and power detection abilities, sensed a strange power in one of the students. She communicated with her colleague, Professor Stanford, using her mind.
"Sir, can I have a brief conversation with you?" she asked.
"Sure, it seems you've noticed something, Miss," he replied mentally.
"Yes, I have. I noticed a young student—I'm struggling to identify what power he has," she thought while curiously observing Connor.
"As far as I know, he doesn't realize what power he possesses or how to use it," he responded mentally.
"I need to help him as soon as possible so he can learn to harness his abilities," she said.
"Don't worry; you'll figure out what powers he has once you meet him," he reassured her, and she nodded in agreement.
After the principal concluded the policy discussion, he displayed the list of students for each class section on the stadium screen and ended his address with a wish of good luck to all students.
