After the battle with Nyx was over, the group started walking in absolute silence, having no idea where they were going
The ground was quiet but echoed with unanswered questions.
Without any indication, they found themselves in front of a strange square
The square was surrounded by cracked pillars and ruined structures, and in the center, Miki's body lay on the ground
Her body was pierced by huge wooden sticks, making the scene both horrifying and astonishing.
Hesitantly, she put her hand over her face to hide her obvious shock
"Mickey, how...how did this happen?"
Falcon, who looked confused, muttered: "Who did this? Why?"
Lin, who stood silently, didn't answer, but approached the body with steady steps
Suddenly, a low voice emanated from beneath the body, a mechanical sound that was coming from an old, rust-covered robot
"If you are hearing this message, it means you have found the right path," the robot said.
The robot leaned in beside Lin, looking at him with curious eyes
Julia asked fearfully, "Message? Who is it?"
The robot continued: "My name is Mickey. I recorded this message before I died. There is a truth you must know before you leave this world. The world you are standing in now is not Earth, it is in a different time, much faster than normal Earth time."
The message paused for a brief moment, before continuing: "The village where you were born was not always part of Earth. It was mysteriously connected to Earth many years ago, but was separated and isolated due to tragic events. This world was under the control of a dark entity called the Nyx. In an attempt to escape that entity, humans created the village as a sanctuary. But Nyx, having lost his full power, reincarnated as a human and lived among you in the village, until he regained his power and control."
Falcon, who was listening in amazement, said, "Nyx...lived among us? How is that possible?"
The robot continued: "This world runs in a different time, but it is invisibly connected to Earth. What happened here did not affect your home world, but you must return now. The stone inside this robot is the key to the portal. Place it in the center of the arena and you will return to Earth."
Everyone stood in silence, while the robot suddenly stopped and its eyes went out.
Lin took the stone from inside the robot, which was glowing with a faint light.
Without a word, they walked to the center of the arena and placed the stone in the designated spot.
A powerful energy began to gather, and a luminous portal appeared in front of them.
There was no doubt that it was the way back.
Lin stepped toward it and said, "Let's go back now. The land awaits us."
Lin walked out of the gate silently, followed by Julia and Falcon.
The world looked the same, the land bustling with life, but inside he knew something had changed.
The ruins of the village that had once been a sanctuary were now silent remnants, a testament to the lives sacrificed for it.
They reached the outskirts of the village where the traces of the dead were scattered.
Without speaking, they began to work together.
They dug graves in the hard ground, burying those who had fallen in the defense of the village.
There was a solemn silence in the air, as if words could do nothing to honor them.
Lin didn't know most of the dead, but the duty to honor them weighed heavy on his heart with each grave he dug.
When he reached Aiden, the only one of them he had truly known, he paused for a moment.
His eyes fixed on his remains before he bent down to mark his grave.
He said in a hushed voice: "You will never be forgotten, Aiden. Thank you for everything."
They finished the work as the sun set, and the square was filled with small graves bearing the memories of sacrifice.
They stood for a moment looking at the graves, then Falcon turned to Lynn and said quietly: "We're done here. It's time for each of us to go our own way."
Lynn nodded and said, "Thank you for everything. I won't forget what you've done."
Julia put her hand on his shoulder for a moment and then exchanged a final glance with Falcon.
Without speaking further, they left him standing alone in front of the graves, watching their shadows drift away as the sun set.
After saying goodbye to them, Lin headed to the Rangers' organization to make his report.
The drive to the organization was silent, but he felt the weight of what he was about to carry.
When he arrived, the leader greeted him with a questioning look.
"What happened back there, Lin?" The commander said in a serious tone.
Lin began to explain everything he had experienced during his journey:
- "The world I was in is not Earth. It's on a different timeline, much faster."
- "The village I was in was connected to Earth in the past, but was completely isolated due to mysterious events."
- "Nex, the entity that took over the other world, lived in the village as a human before it regained its power."
The leader listened silently, then said, "If this is true, this could be just the beginning. Other worlds may connect to Earth in the future, and we must be prepared."
Lin finished his report and said, "What happened there was not the end. I don't know what's to come, but we must be prepared for anything."
Lin left the organization after completing his duty.
He knew that his journey didn't end here, and that he still had a long way to go.
As he walked through the big city, people moved around him without noticing him.
The streets were full of life, but they seemed to him to be lacking something essential.
Suddenly, his footsteps stopped.
In front of him stood a young girl, her eyes filled with surprise.
"Lin?" She said in a voice full of surprise.
He looked at her, and something inside him told him that his meeting with Yumi was no mere coincidence.
