Chapter 1 - My arrival in Rome

The girl got stabbed in the back as she fell down to her knees. The attacker stood behind her, dropping the girl to the ground.

"Haha, that was an easy kill. Now, my target has been eliminated. I can finally-"

A vampire appeared in the black mist. "Who dares to touch my girl?!"

The attacker snarled in mockery, "This lady of yours is dead. You were too late." He laughed loudly at the ancient vampire.

The vampire used his quick reflex to lift up the guy's by his neck, choking him until he ran out of breaths.

He dropped the guy down to the leaves. The forest was filled with fallen leaves and branches.

He rushed over to his partner. He lowered his body down, gently grabbing her body to his chest.

"Darling, I have made my decision. Even though I know you won't like this, but I'm doing it for us."

He said that as he carried her away. He held her bridal style, flying cross the woods to his old mansion.

Being an ancient vampire, he had lots of experience and saving throughout centuries.

His dark palace was dimly lighted with candles from chandeliers and lanterns. The wall was designed like the Roman walls. It carved in detail designs throughout the whole history.

Walking through the hallway, he reached the two staircase curving to the upstairs. The color sheme of the place was mainly black and red with the hint of gold.

Vampires are not a fan of light colors. He carried her all the way to their chamber as he placed her onto his coffin.

He called his butler to prepare the ritual. "It is time for my queen to return."

The bulter gulped in hesitation, "But my lord, the mistress won't like-"

He silenced the butler, cutting his sentence off. "I know what is right for my wife. Now, do what I say unless you want to be thrown out the window."

The butler bowed in submission. Nobody would not dare to go beyond the lord's orders.

After a few minutes later, a tray of a glass champagne was brought empty along with a knife. The lord smirked at this.

He took the knife to slice a cut on his wrist, pouring the blood into the glass champagne. As soon as the glass was filled to the brim of the glass, he grabbed the glass.

With one hand, he opened her mouth gently. Then later, he poured the blood into her mouth.

After the glass was empty, he used his magic with both of his hands, raising up to create a red light towards her body.

Her body turned pale. Her long gorgeous hair changed from black to white.

Moments later, she opened her eyes to reveal a pair of red eyes. She looked around in confused. "What happened?"

Her partner was in front of her smiling, "Darling, you're back."

She flickered to the cut on his wrist, indicating that he had done something.

"I asked what had happened?"

He smiled at her, bringing her closer to his chest. "Don't worry, darling. As long as you are here, we have nothing to be concerned about."

She glanced at the mirror. She didn't see her reflection. She froze in shocked, "Did you turn me to a vampire?!"

He chuckled at her outburst. She was horrified as she kept pounding on his chest. "Why didn't you ask for my consent?"

He raised an eyebrow at her, "Darling, you were laying in the middle of the forest with a knife stabbed behind you back. Did you want me to call the grim Reaper to talk to you?"

She looked away in embarrassment, "Fine, maybe you are right."

"Now, come on darling. Your journey as a vampire awaits you." He whispered to her ears.

The outro started to play, casting all the characters and credits to the artists with the music playing in the background. The screen loaded, "season two coming soon?"

I groaned at the ending, "Dammit, what's with the open ending? He should have turned her to a vampire in the first place instead of having to find her years and years."

I was complaining about the movie series, "If I was that girl, I would have turned to a vampire centuries ago." I said proudly and loudly.

My mom yelled from downstairs, "Sweetie, you have to go to sleep. Your flight is tomorrow morning."

I heard footsteps as I quickly turned off my laptop and placed it aside. My mom opened the door to my room as she noticed my nervousness.

She went to check the laptop to see it was heating up. She sighed, "I told you to lay off your k-drama. You have to focus on your study."

I argued back, "But mom, I have a scholarship there! I don't need to study."

She shook her head in disbelief, "If you want to maintain your free education, you need to hold your grades. Now, go to sleep, otherwise you will be late for your flight to Rome."

I nodded as I pulled my cover over my body, closing my eyes. "Good night then."

My mom smiled as she turned off the lights. "Good night sweetie."

The next morning, my mom woke me up, "Sweetie, you're going to be late. Your flight is in an hour!"

"WHAT?!" I didn't bother to shower as I threw my clothes on. I quickly grabbed my luggages and carry-on, leaving the house in a rush.

My mom was about to stop me, but I had already gotten into the taxi. My mom laughed, "This girl should learn to check the time next time." She shook her head in amusement.

At the airport, I got myself checked in and scanned. I hurried through all the lines like a crazy lady. I looked at the screen to see when I was boarding. My flight was at 10A.M. I looked at my watch.

"Seriously, it's only 8.A.M." I said out loud, attracting unwanted attention from other travelers.

I was annoyed as I went to the bathroom to freshen up. I brushed my hair and spray a sweet perfume scent. I could not believe my own mother tricked me again.

"Why does she always make a fool out of me?" I thought in frustration, but soon after I laughed at my own stupidity, thinking it was time I had learned my mistake.

My flight was called as I made my way to the airplane. I found my seat in the economy. I settled down nicely, putting my carry-on above my head.

The flight was short and quick. I had arrived in Rome before I even could catch a nap.

I boarded off the plane and called a taxi. The taxi picked me up to my college. I went to the office in order to get my dorm key and schedule.

Inside the office, the administrative staff noticed me. "Hello there, you must be our Sylia right?"

I nodded, a bit confused of how they knew who I was.

She laughed, "We keep a record of every new comers. Here is your dorm and schedule." She handed over my key and a piece of paper.

I looked at my number. '301' I thought how lucky two of my favorite number '3' and '1' together. I headed to the dorm area, going up and down the elevator. I finally found my room.

*BANG BANG*

The ruckus inside scared me. It sounded like a witch brewing some kind of chaos magic.
