Jay-jay's POV
Floating...
That's my brain right now. Things are stressful. Percy is stressful, school is stressful and the person next to me is stressful of all!
"Give me my phone back!" I yelled, trying to snatch my phone from him.
"Wait! I'm looking at something!" the King of the Snakes answered.
"...Are you sure this is your phone? All I see are pictures of Ci-N's face."
He shouldn't even be surprised. Every time Ci got his hands on my phone, he turned into the Selfie Lord. Sometimes, he'd even drag Eren into it — and occasionally David, even when he was sleeping.
"Stop looking at the pictures!" I shouted.
Suddenly, he burst out laughing — the kind of laugh that says he's way too amused by what he saw. He turned my phone screen toward me and started swiping through the photos one by one.
Here we go, just as I feared!
Those were stolen shots of me, definitely Ci-N's doing. There was one with my mouth hanging open, another with my eyes closed, and even one where my eyes were squinting.
Damn it!
"Stop that!" I ordered.
He pulled out his own phone and pressed something. I don't know what kind of spirit possessed Keifer's body at that moment. He kicked Ci-N out of the seat and plopped down himself. Every time I glanced at my phone, he was peeking too. I hadn't even recovered from the stress Percy caused, and now this guy's adding to it.
I tried to sneak a peek at what the idiot was doing.
Holy crap!
He was transferring my pictures to his phone. I immediately grabbed my phone back.
"Hey! That's rude!" Keifer yelled at me.
I ignored him and checked my phone—wait, this isn't mine. It really wasn't my phone because my wallpaper definitely wasn't a picture of Ella and Keifer. I quickly handed it back to him and grabbed my actual phone.
"Always snatching things…" he grumbled.
I ignored him again. His wallpaper was irritating enough. I don't know if that's the real reason, but I was just so pissed!
Then Sir Alvin arrived. I thought this guy would finally leave Ci-N's seat, but the shameless one just sprawled out even more.
I don't want to sit next to him.
There were plenty of empty seats, but I didn't want to move because I knew he'd just follow me anyway. I glanced behind me and saw Keifer's old seat—empty.
Without thinking twice, I stood up and moved there. Yuri, who was sitting next to the seat, looked a bit surprised.
"W-why did you move?" he asked.
"I don't want to be there. Keifer's so annoying." I whispered.
Honestly, I shouldn't have sat here either. I was supposed to be keeping my distance from both of them.
Stay away!
What am I supposed to do? They keep getting closer to me. Both of them acting so concerned, making me feel their presence.
When I looked up, I realized Keifer and I were directly facing each other across two tables. He could clearly see me from where he was sitting.
Then, someone suddenly sat beside me. I thought it was one of the usual troublemakers, but no—it was the one who stood out from all of them.
The King himself.
I was about to stand up and switch seats again, but Keifer grabbed my arm and stopped me.
"Just stay there..." he said.
"I don't want to sit next to you!"
"Tss."
Ugh! There it was again — that irritating "Tss" sound. So annoying!
"Class! Announcement!" Sir Alvin called out, forcing me to sit back down. "The University of Hemilton is inviting us!" he announced, waving a booklet. "So for those who want to enroll there, prepare your requirements."
I nudged Yuri, who was busy reading her notes.
"What's up with the University of Hemilton?" I asked.
he explained.
"It's a yearly visit. They do it to show students what their university has to offer. Basically trying to recruit students,"
Wow, that's intense. That university must be super fancy.
"Then what happens?"
"Uhmm… There's a tour of the university's facilities. They have games, prizes, and freebies. They also accept requirements for those who want to enroll," he added.
That's so cool! They're probably the only ones who do that. Other schools don't have anything like it.
"Their school sounds amazing…" I said.
"I think four more schools are going to invite us. I'm just not sure when."
There are more? These schools must all be rolling in money.
"Just make sure your guardians sign the waiver so you can join," Sir Alvin said, handing out the forms.
Since Tita isn't home, Kuya Angelo will have to sign for me. Not that he'd refuse—he'd agree right away.
Sir started the class, and the vibe felt so awkward. Because on both sides of me? Nothing but pests.
Yuri was in full-on study mode, while Keifer was sprawled out, already about to fall asleep. I wasn't wrong—he'd closed his eyes completely.
I lightly elbowed Yuri and pointed at Keifer. He just shook her head at the sight of the King of the Ulupongs. Then he rummaged through her bag and handed me something.
A Marker?
"It's your chance.." he whispered.
I hesitated. If this jerk woke up, he might go ballistic.
"I don't want to... He might get angry with me."
"He won't. I've got your back."
Honestly, the temptation to doodle on his face was too strong. His eyes were shut tight, completely lost in deep sleep.
I took the marker and slowly crept closer to him. Biting my lip to keep from laughing, I carefully drew a mustache on him. Then I thickened his eyebrows and even added a scar like Straw Hat Luffy's.
When I finished, that's when I noticed—everyone was staring at me. Even Sir Alvin had paused to watch.
They almost burst out laughing at Keifer's new look, but Yuri signaled them to stay quiet. I pulled out my phone, and so did Yuri.
We snapped pictures of him and quickly returned to our seats when he suddenly stirred. We went silent, acting like nothing happened.
Even Sir Alvin abruptly resumed teaching.
It was so hard not to burst out laughing. Hehehe.
"Did something happen?" Keifer asked us.
Yuri and I shook our heads and struggling to hold back our laughter. Even the other students were having a hard time holding back their laughter.
He must've sensed something was off because his eyebrows furrowed.
"Hey you! What did you do?!" Keifer asked me annoyed.
"Why are you asking me?!"
"Because you're the one beside me!"
I couldn't look at his face for long. I was laughing because of what I did. I wish I had added wrinkles to his forehead too.
"...answer me!" He demanded.
I just shook my head, covering my mouth. One more second and I'd lose it.
Suddenly, he sniffed his own breath. Maybe he thought I was reacting to some bad smell. When he didn't catch anything, he glared around the room.
Even Sir Alvin was covering his mouth, trying not to laugh. The whole class was avoiding eye contact, but the truth was written all over their faces.
"You did something!" Kiefer accused me.
I couldn't stop laughing. I almost fell off my chair, laughing at his appearance. I even hit the table a few times.
"Hahahahahahahahaha.. s-sorry." I said while holding my stomach.
Even Sir Alvin and Yuri couldn't hold back anymore. The others also started laughing one after the other.
I glanced at Keifer. He was blushing in red and clearly annoyed.
"Y-because... Hahahahahahahaha.. I-I can't help it! Hahahahahahaha..." I said while trying to pinch my stomach from laughing.
The idiot must've realized we were laughing at his face. He grabbed his phone and used the front camera to check himself. His face turned completely red with anger.
"You! Son of a… Argh!" he shouted at me.
Our laughter grew louder. He tried to remove the thing on his face. But since it was a permanent marker----good luck with that!
Hahahahahaha...
"Remove this thing!" He ordered me.
"Wash it in the bathroom!" I yelled back.
"You! You're gonna pay for this!"
I just laughed at him. Then he suddenly took the marker from my desk. I didn't even get a chance to say anything.
Out of nowhere, Yuri grabbed me from behind.
"Hey! What are you guys doing?!"
All I heard was Yuri laughing. Keifer came over to me and immediately grabbed my jaw.
"NO!!!" I screamed.
Keifer started drawing on my face. He gave me a mustache, circled my eyes, and wrote something on my forehead that I couldn't make out.
When he was done, the idiots burst out laughing again. Even Sir Alvin was laughing loudly.
Yuri let go of me, so I quickly grabbed my phone to check myself in the front camera.
"You're a brat!" I shouted at Keifer.
He put boobs on my forehead. You jerk! I heard a loud laugh from Yuri so I glared at him evilly.
"You're a traitor!" I said annoyed but he just laughed at me again.
I grabbed the marker Keifer had thrown on my table and tried to draw on his face, but he kept blocking me. All I managed were some random scribbles on his face.
"That's enough! Let's get back to class!" Sir Alvin said, so I stopped.
I crossed my arms, leaned back, and glared at the board.
How am I supposed to go home like this?
It's all Yuri's fault…
