- Sigh
Zane released a heavy sigh, he then turned away from the large wooden door of the library, shifting gaze on the magic spell section of the library. A note could be seen on the bookshelves, indicating what kind of books lies there.
"Anyways, I guess I'll continue with what I was doing earlier."
Zane was in third floor earlier, looking at the library from above, trying to familiarize the structure of the library. He was having a hard time trying to find the magic spell section of the library earlier, since he still wasn't that familiar with the structure of the place. But, earlier, just before he crawled his way on the ground floor, he saw the magic spell section of the library. Luckily.
"If I am right, I think it was right there?"
Zane then started moving, heading towards the magic spell section of the library. He was just hoping that the Thaleward's spell was there as well.
But, He had a feeling it wouldn't be there, since their magic spell is very confidential.
But, since it was the first thing that he had thought of, he just went along with it. Plus, he wanted to know more about the castle, so it wasn't such as bad idea.
The only bad side was that, there was a possibility he would meet a bunch of assholes, which he did. But even so, he would meet them eventually, so there was no point in avoiding it.
Zane arrived at the spot he had been looking for, the magic spell section. This section is pretty much where you could learn more about magic, not just magic it self but, also magic spells.
Magic formula and books are very similar, the only difference is that, magic formula's content are more on step by step, or process of how to do a spell.
Zane looked around for a bit, looking for a magic formula that has their symbol in it. However, to his disappointment, he couldn't see a single magic formula coming from his family.
"I knew it, I guess things won't be that easy, huh?"
- Sigh
Zane once again released a heavy sigh. Although he couldn't find any magic formula coming from his family, there were other magic formula that was worth learning as well. Many of the magic formula he saw in the library were mostly advance spells, and offensive spells at that.
Zane then roamed around the library for a while, looking for a useful spell he could learn. Zane had a wide smile on his face as he started grabbing all the magic formula's containing advance spells. This was simply a paradise for Zane.
Since Zane now possessed a high amount of mana capacity, he had all the advantage to learn all the spells he wanted that connected to his affinity.
Although, some magic formula's have qualifications, such as how much mana capacity you should have to be able to learn the spell inside the magic formula. But, Zane doesn't have to worry about that, he could just grab all the magic formula's he finds useful. Especially since he was gonna have a duel against Arlo.
Zane knew how weak he is, he knew the gap between him and Arlo. Not just Arlo but the others as well. That's why, Zane tried to think of something that would help him get stronger faster.
And his plan was to learn advance magic spells as much as he could. Considering his mana pool, it wouldn't be a problem at all no matter how much he learned.
That pretty much explains why he had so many magic formula's in both of his hand. With Velrath's guidance, he could pretty much learn all these in a week or more.
Which is pretty much a feat unheard of. Honestly, no matter how much he hates Velrath for taking away his mana, he really can't help it but be thankful he was here with him, teaching him.
Zane's progress has been inhumane, ever since Velrath had decided to teach him. If this keeps up, he would surpass the others in no time. However, Zane's goal isn't really to surpass the others, he had already discarded such ambition.
The only one he is trying to surpass, is his self from the past. As long as he keeps growing stronger and stronger than he was yesterday, last week, last month. Then he was contented.
Zane then headed towards the large wooden doors of the library, carrying tons of magic formula's to the point you could barely see his head.
Zane then went outside of the library, walking slowly so that the books he was carrying wouldn't fall on the ground.
'I could've grab more honestly, I just wasn't sure if I would be able to bring all of it.'
- Thud!
As Zane was walking at the vast hallway of the castle, he accidentally bumped into someone. Making all the magic formula he was carrying fall on the ground. He watched as all of his magic formula, he was carrying drop one by one with a dumbfounded look on his face.
"S-sorry about that."
Hearing a woman's voice, he immediately regained his composure, and looked towards the source of the voice. However, as he did, his eyes and mouth went wide.
"Zane?!"
"Eris?!"
Zane and Eris looked at each other with a dumbfounded face.
"I knew it, you really have arrived. But, wait what the hell are you doing here? Thaleward's are only allowed here unless they are called to be here."
Zane paused for a moment before responding, he stared at Eris with a strange expression for a while, he then said.
"Honestly, I am not really sure but I think it has something to do with... you know."
Eris crossed his arms, and looked towards all the magic formula on the ground, that Zane had been carrying.
"Yeah, I can pretty much see that. But, why the hell are you carrying so much magic formula?"
Zane placed his hand on the back of his head, and slightly lowered his head.
"Well, obviously, to learn it."
Eris stared at him for a moment, a strange expression could be seen all over her face.
"Learn all of these? Don't tell me you are planning on draining all your mana again."
'She knew?'
'Ah right, I think the whole academy knows.'
Remembering the time when he had passed out in the academy, trying to cast a simple barrier spell from his family, he couldn't help but feel embarrassed just from remembering it.
