I watched Lena pull away from me, her breath coming in soft gasps as her chest rose and fell with each inhale. I kept my eyes shut for a moment, trying to get a grip on the wild, desperate ache inside me, the need to reach for her, to pull her back into me. But I didn't. I couldn't. She needed space. She needed to figure it out in her own time, even if it was killing me.
She took a deep breath, her fingers tangled in my hair slipped free, down to my chest. "You distracted me," she murmured, almost dazed.
It was a great boost to my ego. "Please, continue," I whispered, looking into her glazed expression, the flush that disappeared below her neckline, her kiss swollen lips. She was a wet dream come true in my lap.
