Chapter 47 - Chapter 17: The Multiversal Tournament Begins

Preparations and L's Shocking Decision

The entire multiverse was in motion. From the strongest warriors to the forgotten legends of ancient times, every participant was preparing for the grand Multiversal Tournament. The stakes were higher than ever—this was not just a battle for power, but for the honor of one's entire species.

Back on Earth, Oak and Giovanni gathered their team for a final speech.

"We have fought against impossible odds before," Oak said with pride. "But this is different. We are representing the last of our kind—the Immortals. Fight not just for yourselves, but for those who came before you."

Giovanni nodded, adding, "And remember, this is a battle of strategy as much as strength. Watch your opponents, learn their abilities, and strike when the time is right. We will stand victorious."

Everyone roared in excitement, their spirits high. But just before they were about to depart, L dropped a bombshell.

"I won't be participating," L said calmly.

A stunned silence filled the air.

"What do you mean, L?" Gray asked, his voice filled with disbelief. "You're the strongest among us!"

Lisa stepped forward, concerned. "L, why?"

L simply smiled. "I just don't feel like fighting this time."

It wasn't the answer they wanted, but they had learned long ago that L's decisions were final. Though disappointed, they respected his choice.

With that settled, the team boarded their dimensional craft and set off toward the greatest battlefield in existence—the Multiversal Tournament Arena.

Arrival at the Grand Arena

As they entered the tournament grounds, even the strongest among them felt small.

The arena stretched across the cosmos itself—floating between dimensions, its size incomprehensible to the mortal mind. The stands were filled with beings from across the multiverse—warriors, gods, cosmic entities, and legends long thought extinct.

The Immortals couldn't help but marvel at the different species around them.

Bolt whistled. "This is insane… Look at all these beings."

Flair clenched her fists. "I can already feel the energy of some of these fighters. This will be the greatest battle of our lives."

As they walked forward, they were suddenly stopped by a presence all too familiar.

Reunion with the First Team Lightning

A group of powerful beings stood before them—the first Immortal warriors of history.

At the center of them stood a tall, battle-worn warrior with eyes filled with wisdom and power. His presence alone commanded respect—he was the First Oak, the original leader of the Oak Family, created by Goddrex himself.

Gray's eyes widened in shock.

"Great-grandfather…?"

Oak, too, was at a loss for words. He had read legends of his ancestor, but seeing him in person was something else entirely.

Beside the First Oak stood three other Immortals, warriors who had remained hidden from history:

Red (Power: Fire Manipulation) – A warrior with a burning aura, his mere presence made the air shimmer with heat.

Leaf (Power: Nature Manipulation) – A being connected to the very essence of life, capable of controlling the growth of entire forests with a thought.

Clow (Power: Self-Instinct) – The eldest son of Clore and Giovanni, a warrior who had surpassed even his parents in power.

Seeing his brother, Clore was overwhelmed with emotion. "Clow… Brother, it's really you?"

Clow smirked. "It's been a long time, Clore."

The First Oak observed the younger Immortals with curiosity. When his eyes landed on L, however, he did not recognize him.

"Who is this?" he asked, his deep voice echoing with authority.

The silence was deafening. It was Oak who finally spoke.

"He is one of us," Oak explained. "L was sent to Earth as a newborn before the destruction of our home planet. His parents left him with a human queen to protect him. When they returned, they were killed during Team Ultra's attack. But L survived, and he avenged our people."

The First Oak's expression changed. He was quiet for a long moment, then finally nodded. "You took revenge on Team Ultra?"

L simply nodded. "Yes."

For the first time in centuries, the First Oak smiled. "Then I am proud. You have honored our ancestors."

The Unexpected Return of Archon

Just as the reunion settled, a presence filled the air—one that sent shockwaves through everyone present.

A figure clad in a regal, yet ominous cloak approached. His golden eyes held memories of destruction, yet now glowed with something new.

It was Archon.

The moment they saw him, the Immortals instinctively prepared for battle. Bolt clenched his fists, and Gray's energy flared. Even Giovanni took a step forward.

"What is he doing here?" Lyra hissed.

Lisa's eyes burned with determination. "He must have come for revenge."

But before anyone could attack, L raised a hand, stopping them.

"Archon is not our enemy anymore."

The Immortals were stunned.

"What?"

L walked forward, standing before Archon. Their eyes met, but there was no hostility.

"I spared him," L explained. "And in doing so, I gave him a chance to change. He has chosen a different path now."

Archon bowed his head slightly. "I do not expect your trust so easily," he said. "But I will prove that I have changed. This tournament is my chance to fight for something greater."

The Immortals, though hesitant, slowly accepted L's words. Giovanni, however, watched Archon carefully—sensing that there was more to the story.

Archon himself glanced at L, knowing the truth that still remained hidden.

"Not yet," he thought. "The multiverse is not ready to know who L truly is."

The Tournament Begins

With the past behind them and their team stronger than ever, the Immortals and their newfound allies walked together toward the heart of the tournament grounds.

All around them, warriors from across existence were preparing for battle. Some were gods, others ancient warriors, and some were completely unknown beings whose power had never been tested.

The Immortals knew that the fiercest battles of their lives were ahead.

But they were ready.

And as the tournament gates opened, a voice echoed across the multiverse:

"The Multiversal Tournament… begins NOW!"
