Chapter 44 - Chapter 14: The Past of Archon – A Journey from Revenge to Redemption

Flashback: The Origin of Archon's Darkness

Millions of years ago, before the birth of the Immortals and the rise of any god-like beings, there was a young Archon—a teen with a bright future, surrounded by his family and friends. His species was not known for immense physical strength but for their mastery of various techniques, and among them, Archon had always been drawn to one technique: Power Absorption.

He was a quick learner, mastering this technique under the guidance of his esteemed master. It was a powerful skill that allowed its user to absorb the energy of others and make it their own, gaining strength with every move. But Archon never knew that this power would one day be the key to his destruction.

One fateful day, as Archon was training under his master, a destructive force suddenly appeared in the sky—a fleet of demonic warriors, led by a powerful demon lord. They came without warning, an army of destruction, and laid waste to Archon's peaceful world.

Archon watched in helpless horror as demons destroyed his master, and then, one by one, wiped out his entire species, along with his family and friends. Despite his newfound power, Archon was unable to defend his loved ones. He stood powerless, defeated in front of the demons who tore his world apart.

In the wreckage of his fallen world, Archon stood among the ashes of his past life, his heart filled with despair and rage. He tried to stop them—tried to fight back—but was overpowered and brutalized, left broken and bleeding.

As the demons moved on, leaving Archon to witness the aftermath, his anger turned into something darker—uncontrollable. He absorbed everything in his path—the energy, the life force, the very essence of his dying planet.

In that moment, his power grew beyond imagination, and in his fury, he prayed to the God of Power, asking for the strength to never be weak again. He wanted to avenge his people, and the God of Power answered his call, granting him an overwhelming, god-like power.

And with that, Archon's journey of vengeance began—a journey that would eventually lead him to destroy worlds, conquer galaxies, and become the monstrous figure who would seek to claim the multiverse itself.

Back to the Present: Archon's Final Moment

The battle was over. Archon lay before L, defeated, his body broken but his mind still burning with the fire of revenge. He had become everything he had once feared—a destroyer of worlds. Now, at his lowest, he begged L to end his misery.

Archon (weakly): "Destroy me, L... Finish what you've started. I've lived my life in hatred and pain. There's nothing left for me."

L stood over him, his expression calm. For a moment, it seemed like the only thing left for Archon was death, but L was different from anyone Archon had faced before. Instead of crushing him as Archon expected, L extended a hand.

L (softly): "You were just blind, Archon. Blinded by the revenge you thought would bring peace."

Archon blinked in disbelief. L wasn't here to end his life; instead, he was offering something Archon could never have imagined: redemption.

L's Act of Compassion – Restoring Archon's Planet

Without another word, L teleported Archon to the ruins of his destroyed planet, a place that had been lost to time and destruction.

Archon: "No... You can't bring it back. It's gone, it's all gone!"

But L stood calmly, raising his hand as he channeled his immense energy. The planet began to shift, the broken land healing itself, the skies clearing, and the life-force of the world slowly returning. Archon stood in awe as the landscape around him transformed, and before long, his planet was restored to its former glory.

Tears filled Archon's eyes as he looked around, seeing his home restored for the first time in millennia.

Archon (whispering): "How... Why would you do this for me?"

L simply smiled.

L: "Because you're not beyond saving. You were once a good person. You just lost your way."

For the first time in years, Archon understood. He could see the truth in L's eyes. The hatred that had consumed him, the destruction he had caused, was all because he had been driven by a broken heart and a desire for revenge. But that pain was not the truth of who he was—it was only a part of him. And now, L had shown him that there was still hope.

Archon (choking with emotion): "I… I don't understand. Why do you do this for me? After everything I've done..."

L (with a knowing smile): "Because peace is never about revenge. It's about understanding and forgiveness. Go back to your family, Archon. Let them guide you back to the person you were meant to be."

With that, Archon left, his heart filled with gratitude, heading back to his family and friends on his restored world. The rage had faded from his soul, replaced by a profound sense of peace and redemption.

The Return to Earth – L's Final Act

Back on Earth, the battle was over, but L's presence still loomed large. The Immortals, the warriors, and everyone else who had watched the final clash saw him return. They saw the calm expression on L's face, a face that told them all that peace had been achieved.

Before anyone could ask, L stood tall and struck his iconic signature pose, releasing a surge of power that radiated across the world.

L's power flowed through the Earth, and with a wave of his hand, everything returned to normal. The cities rebuilt themselves, the skies cleared, and the damage from the destructive battles faded into nothingness. The multiverse was restored, and peace had been brought back.

The Immortals, Gray, Giovanni, Oak, and everyone else watching stood in awe and happiness. They knew the battle had ended with victory, but it was L's actions that had finally brought the world back into balance.

L turned to face them, his eyes glowing with the truth of what had been achieved.

L: "The battle is over, and peace has been restored. Let us never forget that victory comes not from destruction, but from understanding."

The crowd erupted in joy and celebration, understanding that the true hero of this battle had not only defeated Archon but had given him the chance to redeem himself.

With the world safe and the multiverse at peace once again, L smiled. The destructive battle was finally over—and now, a new era of hope and peace would begin.
