There was a reason this technique was the last option for Gang Xin.
Now that he was doing it, he felt it even more deeply.

On the human body, there were a total of 9 major meridians, and many connecting points in between. Each of the major meridians was an important passage and base for qi flow inside the body.
They were had different functions, and the function for the chest meridian was the creation of own qi.
Through cultivation, one would be able to unlock them naturally after they reached the Meridian Mentor stage.
However, if one were to try to go to this forbidden land before reaching that stage, they would be met with severe drawbacks. The reason for this was simple.
Before the body was fully developed enough for qi flow, it would be as if trying to get a wooden puppet to generate 100 kgs of force - they would break.
And when the tendons strengthened, the meridians would also get nourished, and become more suitable for qi flow. Then eventually, when they are activated, they will be a healthy base for qi creation and the various other purposes.
Now that Gang Xin was forcing qi inside his chest meridian, trying to forcefully activate it, he experienced excruciating pain.
It might have been better if he was at the verge of breaking through to the Meridian Mentor stage, or even at the late stage, but he wasn't. He hadn't even reached the minimum star to be considered as a mid stage Form Fighter.
His meridian would be taking even more damage with this forceful penetration.
Qi flowed like a thin stream of water piercing through a barren and dry desert inside Gang Xin's chest meridian.
Gang Xin even felt like something inside his body was being torn through, and also falling apart.
Excruciating pain followed this. However, he held on. He only needed to damage this dry barren desert a little to extract some qi for himself; just like excavating the dry surface to get to the underground water source.
'A bit more...' Gang Xin persevered while gritting his teeth.
He had already scraped off a part of the surface. He needed only a bit more... a bit moree...

A pool of qi started forming from a single hole in the dry and barren desert. The qi glistened like clear water, and looked beautiful.
Gang Xin instantly stopped the attacking qi that was forcefully concentrating on a single spot. Instead, the qi combined with the pool of qi that came out, and retreated from the meridian.
Now, it was heeding Gang Xin's will as it went out of his body, and penetrated the pair of eyes from the Fire Rooted Fox demonic beast. Under the qi's effects, the pair of eyes' structure quickly deteriorated.
It wouldn't take long before it would crumble under Gang Xin's exquisite control. However, it didn't - because Gang Xin didn't want it to.
Right now, he had no pill cauldron or supplementary materials to create a qi body. Thus, he could only resort to the second best option and consume the ingredients raw.
Otherwise, there was no way to consume pure energy - at least not for the body now. So, Gang Xin had to stop right before the materials' structure tipped off and broke completely.
Right now, it might be so fragile it would disintegrate from a pinch.
Thus, Gang Xin decided to eat it right off the ground instead.
He prostrated, then took his body down, as he consumed the pair of eyes. His tongue even making sure he was licking all of it as it also licked a bit of the ground dust.
Then, he didn't stop as he also licked the already charcoal stalk of Violet Yerin. It was very crispy, but he didn't mind as he chewed it up. It did taste very awful though.
The next few seconds, Gang Xin didn't feel anything. So, he sat up in a meditative position and observed the changed to his body.
After the first ten seconds, the pair of eyes were finally processed. After all, they were already this close to breaking down themselves. With Gang Xin's digestive system, it took no time.
From his perspective, something seemed to throw away its outer layer, and fully explode inside his stomach. Then, it started spreading throughout his bloodstreams, and then to his entire body.
The fire qi spread very quickly, as Gang Xin also felt a wave of dizziness hitting his body.
Hot! Hot!! Hot!!!
Everywhere of his body was being heated up, and felt like it was being grilled on fire. But especially the tendons! He could literally feel his tendons being burnt, and then the power within them dissipating.
It didn't take long before the entire power of the tendons dissipated. However, the violent fire energy didn't stop there as it also spread like a wave.
It burned, or tried to burn, everything. Even his scalp wasn't spared from this as everything from his brows to hair got burnt to a crisp.
The mighty and fear inspiring Star Tyran Gang Xin was now as smooth as a monk. The previous 7 player team that got robbed by him would definitely have a heck of a laugh out of this.
Fortunately, only the parts that didn't have much resistance to fire got burned before the cleansing and healing properties of the Violet Yerin came in. If it had spread to his eyes, things definitely would've been harder for him.
Along with the surge of healing energy, Gang Xin also felt energetic, although weak. Even so, he quickly started acting.
He knew that this high energy phase wouldn't continue much longer before it faded. After all, he was incredibly weak right now - as he had been stripped of his cultivation of 4th star Form Fighter.
He was now no different from a kid who hadn't started his cultivation journey yet.
If he missed out, he might even be too tired to execute the Undying Phoenix cultivation technique.

Gang Xin thrust out his hands, as they also occasionally turned to claws, and then to wings. Sometimes, his entire body's movement seemed so strange as if people were looking at fire.
Gang Xin continued practicing the technique. Unsurprisingly, his progress was very quick.
"I'm almost going to reach 1 star Form Fighter soon." remind you, this was only after practicing the technique for 10 minutes.
However, there was a reason for this - the leftover properties of the Fire Rooted Fox's eyes aligned and were incredibly beneficial to his cultivation technique. After all, the cultivationt technique's description literally contained absorbing the outside world's fire, and then refining to make it his own.
'However, the effect is decreasing now... Well, there is still 3 hours left. I will make use of the training ground's superiour environment and maximize the efficiency here.' sensing that he was starting to become tired, Gang Xin threw the remaining stalk of Violet Yerin straight into his mouth.
After a while, his body was rejuvenated once again. Albeit, this was a very wasteful method and would likely reduce the full efficiency to half.
And then, Gang Xin also took the remaining pair of Fire Rooted Fox's eyes and threw it into his mouth.
