Here we are at the easternmost part of Qingyang Town. Outside the courtyard stretches a vast orchard, incredibly tranquil, offering a distant view of the Taihang Mountains, presenting an exquisite scenery.
A yellow ox plunged into the orchard, its four hooves galloping ahead, shimmering with a golden glow, appearing extremely mystical.
Chu Feng chased after it, giving it his all, but could only follow behind. This one-meter-tall calf possessed extraordinary stamina and speed that left one speechless.
Ordinary cows, in people's minds, were mostly clumsy and slow, but these traits didn't apply to this yellow ox.
It swiftly moved through the extensive fruit trees, gracefully and swiftly, almost as if flying over grass, directly reaching an open area, leaving the orchard behind.
Ahead appeared a small mountain, not very high, emerging from nowhere on this morning when the sun rose, emitting wisps of white mist.
There hadn't been such a mountain before; it suddenly appeared during the anomalies several days ago, which Chu Feng was already aware of.
Mountains emerged elsewhere, majestic and grand, towering, but this one in front of them was clearly different, standing merely two to three hundred meters tall, quite low by comparison.
In recent days, the yellow ox had set its sights on it.
From beginning to end, it kept staring in that direction, closely observing until today when it finally took action.
Surprised, Chu Feng wondered if this was the target of the yellow ox?
"Moo!"
The yellow ox let out a low growl, deep and rumbling like thunder, expressing excitement and joy. After lying dormant for several days, it finally made its move.
There were no strange herbs or ancient trees on the small mountain, nor any ferocious birds or beasts, making it appear ordinary. However, on this morning, wisps of pure white mist rose from it, making it somewhat unique.
The yellow ox stood there motionless, its gaze intense and filled with longing, waiting quietly.
Though curious, Chu Feng remained silent, calm, standing alongside the yellow ox, waiting for the mysterious moment to arrive.
Perhaps it was just an illusion, but the sun rising over the Taihang Mountains seemed particularly red, the dawn light falling warmly upon people, bringing an indescribable sense of comfort.
At the same time, Chu Feng noticed that the entire world seemed to have gained much more vitality.
Suddenly, the dawn burst forth, instantly becoming more sacred, illuminating the earth.
At the same time, Chu Feng was astounded to find that those distant mountains, such as those deep within the Taihang Mountain Range, emitted colorful lights, surging outward.
"There's a dense vitality suddenly spreading across the earth," said Chu Feng with surprise.
It emanated from those primeval mountains, spreading throughout the world, making one feel as if their pores were opening up, as if undergoing a baptism.
The yellow ox remained motionless, paying no heed to these phenomena, still focusing intently on the small mountain.
Suddenly, the small mountain trembled, emitting glowing mists, becoming even more mysterious.
"Moo!"
The yellow ox excitedly bellowed, rushing forward without hesitation, heading towards the place where the radiant light and white mist surged.
It was a cave, previously hidden by vines, now exposed.
With a whoosh, the yellow ox dashed straight into the cave, unable to hide its excitement. Chu Feng followed closely behind, finding the stone cave deep and leading inward.
On the path were signs of axe marks, indicating that this rocky passage was man-made, though from what era was unknown, not naturally formed.
Inside the stone cave, clouds and mist swirled around, illuminated by radiant light, creating an unreal feeling, somewhat hazy. It was just a stone cave, yet why did it seem so mysterious along the way?
In this environment, Chu Feng found that his body's vitality was increasing.
There was a peculiar substance here, nourishing his flesh.
What was it?
Suddenly, he saw clearly鈥攁 silver-white snake clinging to the rock wall. The yellow ox rushed over and swallowed it whole.
Did it eat meat?
No, Chu Feng suddenly realized that it might not be an ordinary snake, emitting a fragrant aroma. Moreover, after being bitten by the yellow ox, it turned into a ball of white mist, entering its nostrils.
Not a snake!
After swallowing one, the yellow ox charged onward towards the end of the stone cave.
Along the way, colorful lights flowed, not dark at all, with no need to worry about bumping into the walls.
Chu Feng closely followed the yellow ox, feeling as if they had run several miles, which was abnormal, far exceeding the limits of the small mountain's interior.
Bear in mind, this was a straight path, without twists and turns, nor ups and downs.
"Folded space!" Chu Feng immediately thought of these words, having actually experienced it firsthand.
The road was long, and he saw several more silver-white snakes. Even Chu Feng caught two, swallowing them, feeling as if he were transforming into an immortal, weightless.
Was this a white gas? Chu Feng was astonished, convinced that it was a special substance capable of enhancing human vitality, invaluable.
Finally, the road came to an end, shrouded in a layer of hazy light, blocking something unknown.
"Moo!" The yellow ox decisively stepped through, with Chu Feng following.
In the next moment, the yellow ox was stunned, and Chu Feng felt bewildered, finding it hard to believe, seeming surreal.
At the end of the road, the world suddenly fell silent, devoid of sound.
Most perplexing was the sight of a giant star right ahead, vast and slowly rotating, too sudden.
Or perhaps, it could be said that Chu Feng and the yellow ox arrived abruptly, witnessing this scene unexpectedly.
Where was this?
Could it be in outer space, seeing such a huge planet? Not far away, its magnificence could be felt.
The yellow ox was shocked, while Chu Feng was petrified. It made no sense; passing through a stone cave, they ended up in such a place.
Gravity seemed to have failed, as they felt nothing.
"If we get closer, can we reach that planet?" Chu Feng murmured, as if in a dream.
It was an ancient planet, exuding a sense of antiquity, carrying the breath of countless years, silently turning.
Thick white mist emanated from there, surging towards them, spreading through the stone cave.
"Something's coming!" Chu Feng exclaimed.
On that massive planet, besides the white mist, objects rapidly approached, heading towards the cave.
"Ah, silver snakes?" He saw them鈥攖hose peculiar substances, shaped like snakes, arriving with the mist.
The yellow ox opened its mouth wide, starting to swallow them.
Seeing this, Chu Feng didn't hesitate either, beginning to catch the silver snakes, knowing they weren't really snakes but rare mysterious substances.
He then encountered block-like objects, also belonging to the same substance, emitting a fragrance when swallowed.
Why was there a planet? Were they standing in outer space? Chu Feng stopped caring, as both he and the ox continuously captured these strange substances.
Until finally, their bellies were full, unable to bear more, their appetites nearly bursting, reluctantly setting off on the return journey.
Upon exiting the stone cave and returning to the outside world, Chu Feng felt as if waking from a dream, wondering where they had been.
Suddenly, the ground shook, the small mountain quaking violently, beginning to crack.
The yellow ox roared, running down the mountain at full speed.
Feeling bloated, Chu Feng struggled to keep up. He grabbed the ox's two golden horns, sitting on its back.
The yellow ox glared back angrily but couldn't stop, bouncing several times in an attempt to shake Chu Feng off, ultimately descending the mountain first.
As they moved away, the small mountain gradually disintegrated, finally collapsing with a loud crash, turning into dust.
During this process, white mist surged like rivers into the sky, thick and impenetrable.
It wasn't until much later that it dispersed in all directions, blending into the surrounding world.
Even the yellow ox forgot to settle accounts with Chu Feng, cautiously approaching once the dust settled.
Chu Feng also approached, finding only rubble remaining, completely collapsed. As for the stone cave and the folded space, they were gone.
"How could there be such a place connected to a planet?" Chu Feng pondered, puzzled.
The yellow ox didn't answer, returning to the yard to begin a special breathing technique, lasting for a long time.
Chu Feng followed suit, distinctly sensing something unusual, feeling extraordinarily vigorous. Throughout the process, he sweated profusely, feeling drowsy.
It wasn't until some time later that he woke up, noticing his heartbeat was unusually strong, thumping like a drum.
"When I carefully sensed, I heard my organs resonating like drums," Chu Feng marveled.
Then, he found his vision significantly improved, able to clearly see a mountain cat on a distant peak, something impossible before.
Startled, Chu Feng felt his body reek, sweating excessively, sticky and dirty, while experiencing intense hunger, as if capable of eating an entire ox.
Instantly, he eyed the yellow ox, who had also awakened, eyeing him greedily, baring its teeth menacingly.
Chu Feng hurried to shower, then laid out various foods on the table, devouring them.
Similarly, the yellow ox ate everything鈥攇rass, fruits, and even snatched Chu Feng's food, including steaks.
For some reason, Chu Feng felt endlessly hungry, unable to satisfy himself, despite eating enough for ten meals, still craving more.
Afraid of damaging his stomach, Chu Feng dared not eat anymore, watching helplessly as the yellow ox devoured everything.
"I'm so hungry!"
Fearing potential health issues, he went directly to seek out an old physician in town.
"Why are you so abnormal?" asked Old Doctor Wang, gray-haired and kind-faced, but visibly shocked.
Chu Feng was startled, asking, "Am I in big trouble?"
"No, you're far healthier than most, with some life metrics ten times higher than normal!" Old Doctor Wang explained, having conducted a thorough examination using various instruments.
Chu Feng was stunned by the results.
"But I'm extremely hungry," he described his problem.
"Do you feel bloated now?" Old Doctor Wang asked.
"No."
"Your digestion and absorption capacity are also ten times higher than normal, converting food into necessary substances quickly. If you're hungry, just eat; it shouldn't be a problem," Old Doctor Wang advised boldly, despite never encountering such a case.
"Please keep this confidential!" Chu Feng implored before leaving, unwilling to disclose it.
Old Doctor Wang nodded seriously, advising Chu Feng to come anytime if problems arose, genuinely interested in tracking his condition.
Returning home, Chu Feng indulged in a feast!
While eating, he checked various news reports on his communicator.
To his surprise, he discovered that in some places, foggy phenomena occurred, with several mountains collapsing, releasing energy like seas.
Wasn't this similar to what happened at the small mountain? But it was unclear if anyone had stumbled into the folded space.
"Tell me, is this one of the opportunities you've been waiting for since coming to our world?" Chu Feng asked.
The yellow ox nodded first, then shook its head.
Chu Feng took some effort to understand that for the yellow ox, this wasn't significant, merely a good opportunity.
Chu Feng was greatly surprised, realizing that some of his life metrics now exceeded ten times those of ordinary people, all due to this event!
Moreover, these changes were still slowly progressing.
