On a bright morning, with the sun beaming its rays into the sky with full enthusiasm, Saitama was sitting on his couch, as usual, in a state of stagnation known to everyone. He stared at the TV with no apparent interest, while Genos was reviewing technical reports about his latest battle, which, as always, had ended with the destruction of everything in his vicinity.
However, what surprised everyone was what happened after a minute.
"Saitama-sensei!" Genos said with enthusiasm, standing firmly in front of him.
"I've decided! We need to go to the supermarket for exotic foods! I read a report about unusual products from abroad, and I'm sure there are foods that will help develop your strength!"
Tatsumaki, leaning against the wall in the corner of the room, looked at him thoughtfully. Her thoughts seemed to say, "A supermarket? Do I have to go to a supermarket? This doesn't seem suitable for someone as great as me!"
But Saitama, who was distracted with a boring mobile game, glanced at Genos with visible exhaustion.
"Supermarket? Isn't there another way? Why can't I just be a relaxed hero and take a break from this madness?"
But Genos wouldn't back down. "This could be an exciting experience, Sensei! We need some adventure! Some of the products that Saitama-sensei will get might hold the key to secrets we can't even imagine for our future battles!"
Tatsumaki, tired of the constant talk about food and fighting, decided she would play a role in this chaos.
"I'll go with you if that's what you're going to do. But I want a special cake afterward. And anything that interrupts my comfort will be considered a declaration of war."
"Oh, now things are getting interesting!" Saitama said, as the idea became more appealing to him, just because someone had added a threat.
The moment that changed everything.
Later, they all left, and none of them cared about what was happening outside their apartment, as if they were in a bubble of their own world. They headed to the nearest supermarket, and the atmosphere was eerily calm, as though it was just a small scene from a bizarre comedy film. When they arrived, the surprises were about to begin.
First, they entered the crowded aisles, where all the ingredients Saitama had never seen before awaited: strange fruits, vegetables in illogical colors, and some cans that seemed like they were made in another dimension. Genos was browsing everything with scientific focus, while Saitama wandered behind him indifferently, and Tatsumaki flew around them like an angry butterfly.
"Saitama-sensei!" Genos said, picking up a small bottle of strange juice. "It seems this juice boosts strength by 500%! It would be perfect for you!"
But Saitama, who felt nothing but indifference, took the bottle from him and took a sip.
"This tastes really weird. I don't think I need this, but thanks."
Tatsumaki, who was browsing the candy aisle, gave a mocking look to the rest of the group and said, "I'm here to look for something delicious... not for silly scientific experiments."
But when they reached the frozen meat aisle, disaster struck.
The tragic end of the day...
While they were in this aisle, Tatsumaki found herself in front of a large can of canned meat, labeled "The finest fresh meat from another universe."
"Ha, this must be exciting!" she said in an unusual voice, then tried to lift the can.
But at that moment, something totally unexpected happened. The can of meat flew unexpectedly through the air and landed in a completely odd way over Saitama's head.
As it was about to fall to the ground, Saitama instinctively raised his hand, as though it were a piece of martial arts.
But the can bounced off his hand and shot toward Genos, who was also caught in a chaotic mess, and soon the aisle was filled with scattered canned meats in every corner.
"Oh, I can't take this anymore!" Tatsumaki said, flying back up, but noticing everything had fallen into a totally unexplainable mess.
As for Saitama, who was completely relaxed, he took a deep breath and said, "Maybe we should leave now. The exotic food trip is over."
