Chapter 66 - Chapter 66: Three Punches to Defeat Sasuke

Might Guy's teaching was flawless.

Because that's exactly how he fought Kakashi.

The problem wasn't with him, it was Naruto.

Naruto had learned from Might Guy how to fight against Sharingan users, yet he rushed into battle without proper training. That was underestimating Sasuke.

His strength was already inferior, and now he couldn't even look at Sasuke's upper body. Wasn't he just serving himself up as a punching bag?

After giving Naruto a simple treatment for his injuries, Aoba once again stood across from Sasuke, "This time, no one should interrupt us."

"Aoba, prepare to face your defeat! For the honor of my clan, I will defeat you!", Sasuke pulled out kunai and shuriken from his pouch, but he didn't throw them immediately.

Because from his brother's teachings, he knew that the Uchiha clan had a battle formula for one-on-one fights.

Start with a genjutsu to gain the first move, then use shuriken to attack weak points, and finish with a Fire Release jutsu to incinerate the body.

If the opponent wasn't dead, just spam another combo until they were.

Even a single-tomoe Sharingan already had the ability to forcefully cast genjutsu for hypnosis. The strength of genjutsu depended solely on the power of Yin Release, and the Sharingan itself was a bloodline limit representing Yin Release.

The only difference was that genjutsu cast with three-tomoe Sharingan was stronger than that of a single-tomoe.

"Aoba, the moment you meet my gaze, you've already lost!"

Aoba didn't avoid looking at Sasuke, so the moment their eyes met, he instantly felt a chilling aura enveloping him.

It was Sasuke's genjutsu, cast through the Sharingan.

Genjutsu worked by disturbing the target's chakra to interfere with their five senses, trapping them in an illusion.

By the same logic, resisting genjutsu only required disturbing one's own chakra.

Aoba had terrifying control over his chakra, so the moment Sasuke used genjutsu, he was already preparing a way to break it.

But Sasuke didn't know that. He had already launched over ten kunai and shuriken at Aoba.

"Curse your unfortunate fate of not having a Sharingan!", After awakening his Sharingan, the biggest improvement Sasuke gained was an extraordinary level of perception.

Now, he could throw more than a dozen kunai and shuriken at once, all hitting their targets without deviation.

"Aoba-kun!", Tenten and the others watching gasped in shock, their faces filled with worry as Aoba stood motionless.

But right after breaking the genjutsu, Aoba moved.

He also pulled out a string of kunai and shuriken from his pouch.

Their projectiles clashed in midair, sparks flying as they collided and fell to the ground.

At the same time, several of Aoba's kunai and shuriken flew toward Sasuke.

Everyone let out a breath of relief, but Sasuke, still in shock, hurriedly dodged, "How did you resist my genjutsu?"

Aoba's expression was indifferent, "That's all you've got?"

"Damn it!", Sasuke's face tensed. Though his first step failed, he still had follow-ups.

The Uchiha formula was all about efficiency.

He suddenly yanked his hands backward. The shuriken and kunai scattered on the ground trembled, revealing thin wires that shimmered under the sunlight.

This was the shuriken manipulation technique Sasuke could now perform after awakening his Sharingan.

The wires shot toward Aoba, binding him tightly in an instant.

The moment he was trapped, Sasuke swiftly formed hand seals.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!"

Sasuke tilted his head back and spat out an enormous fireball, aiming straight at Aoba.

Everyone felt the temperature around them rise sharply. The power of Sasuke's Great Fireball Jutsu had grown even stronger than before.

The flames surged along the wires, about to engulf Aoba.

But what was supposed to be Aoba was already a log.

"Substitution Jutsu!", Sasuke's eyes narrowed, then, he felt a sudden gust of wind.

In the corner of his vision, he saw a fist brimming with power descending toward him from above.

But with his Sharingan's insight, Sasuke saw through Aoba's every move.

He leaped backward, dodging Aoba's punch, and even took the chance to taunt him.

"Too slow, Aoba. Your punches are too... slow?"

BOOM!!!

In an instant, everyone felt the ground tremble.

Aoba's punch landed on the ground, and where his fist struck, the earth caved in, forming a massive crater nearly two meters wide.

Sasuke landed steadily, his face turning pale.

'If that hits me… I won't be alive, right?'

Aoba gave him a friendly smile, "Don't worry, Sasuke. I'll hold back a little next time."

Sasuke shuddered and reflexively shouted, "I don't need you to hold back!"

Aoba just smiled without responding. His fists were already swinging again.

Sasuke panicked, jumping back while throwing kunai and shuriken wildly at Aoba.

But every projectile passed through Aoba's body like a shadow, then, his entire figure vanished.

"This time, it's a Clone Jutsu?", A sudden fear crept into Sasuke's heart. He was still midair, unable to dodge.

Another gust of wind.

The fist in his vision grew larger. He saw it, but he couldn't evade it.

Sasuke's eyes widened. He could only cross his arms, bracing against Aoba's punch.

BAM!

A dull thud rang out. Sasuke felt a wave of excruciating pain, it was like being rammed by a wild bull.

Aoba had indeed held back. Otherwise, this punch would have shattered Sasuke's arm bones completely.

Even so, Sasuke's arms went numb, completely losing sensation.

But the attack wasn't over.

"This fight ends here, Sasuke!", Another punch came, landing squarely on Sasuke's face.

The sheer force sent him flying.

Blood sprayed from his nose and mouth, scattering across the sky.

Through the slits of his eyes, Sasuke saw the spotless blue sky above, as if he glimpsed his great-grandmother waving at him.

BANG!

Sasuke crashed heavily onto the ground.

Pain coursed through his body, especially in his arms and face.

But he remained conscious. Aoba had held back. His first punch had been too strong because he underestimated his own power. The next two punches were progressively weaker.

Even so, Sasuke lay there, staring blankly at the clear sky, sinking into deep self-doubt.

'I lost… again?'

He didn't understand.

Before he had a Sharingan, he couldn't beat Aoba. Now that he had one, why was he still losing?

He had trained all night, practicing with his Sharingan. In the morning, he even perfected a new combo.

Yet, Aoba only threw three punches, and he was down.

At this moment, Sasuke's eyes lost their luster, as if his entire life had lost meaning.

Aoba walked over, looking down at his swollen, pig-like face, and couldn't help but offer some words of comfort, "Sasuke, don't be too discouraged. Losing to me doesn't mean you're weak."

"It just means… I've never really tried."
