The seawater was evaporated significantly, and the impact from the meteorite's descent created such a massive disturbance that even Artoria, stationed far off on the other side of the island, saw the aftermath and rushed over.
"What happened?!"
Artoria sprinted from the forest behind, panting lightly, and looked around with alarm. The moment she saw Rin unharmed, a sense of relief washed over her expression.
"Nothing serious just testing my abilities." Rin smiled calmly, brushing off the gravity of the situation.
"Abilities?"
Artoria's eyes widened with shock. She turned to look at the steaming, unsettled sea before her, at a loss for words. What kind of Devil Fruit power could cause such catastrophic impact?
Rin didn't elaborate further, and Artoria, seeing this, tactfully refrained from prying any deeper.
The three of them Rin, Casa, and Artoria remained by the shore a little longer before deciding to head back to their ship.
Just as they turned around
Boom!
A deep tremor shook the earth beneath their feet.
All three froze, instinctively glancing toward the thick forest inland. There, they saw two towering figures pushing through the trees, step by thunderous step, making the ground quiver with each footfall.
They were two immense giants one wielding a gargantuan battle axe, the other a massive longsword.
They were none other than the Green Ogre Dorry and the Red Ogre Brogy legendary Elbaf warriors residing in Little Garden.
Their story, long passed into legend, was a tale of absurd valor and stubborn pride. Over a hundred years ago, the two giant captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates caught two Sea Kings of similar size. A little girl asked who had caught the larger beast, and unable to settle the matter, the two resolved to duel once every day at high noon until a victor could be decided a duel that has since lasted a century.
This bizarre episode spoke volumes about their simple, straightforward, yet unwavering sense of honor.
Rin raised a hand, signaling Casa and Artoria to stop.
"Don't move," he said softly, his gaze fixed on the giants.
As the thunderous steps drew near, Dorry and Brogy finally stood before the trio, casting long shadows under the sun.
"Oi, humans?" Dorry, the one with the longsword, crouched down and peered at them curiously.
"By Elbaf, it's true," Brogy added, stroking his beard. "Haven't seen humans on this island in quite a while."
"Are you pirates?" Dorry asked, his expression not hostile, but vigilant.
"Yes," Rin answered without hesitation, his voice loud and clear.
"Hmm… In recent years, quite a few pirates have made their way here," Dorry muttered, narrowing his eyes. "Some have even challenged us for our heads, thinking they could take a giant's bounty back to the world."
"But none of them succeeded." Brogy hefted his axe. "What about you? Are you after our heads too, boy?"
"If that's your goal, then you'll have to fight us!" Dorry's eyes gleamed with warrior spirit.
Rin shook his head, expression calm. "Not interested in your heads."
"I came here because this place was simply part of my route," he said sincerely. "I've no reason to fight you."
"Is that so?" Dorry burst into booming laughter. "Then we are not enemies!"
"What's your name, boy?" Brogy asked, folding his massive arms.
"Me?" Rin pointed to himself, then smirked. "I'm Rin Rin Pandora. You'd best remember that name."
"Why should we remember your name?" Brogy tilted his head, curious.
"Because," Rin replied with a grin, "we're going to turn the world upside down."
The moment the words left his lips, the two giants stiffened slightly, their eyes locked on Rin.
For a long moment, they were silent until finally
Dorry let out a roar of laughter. "Are those wild words? Or dreams destined to become reality?"
"Do I even need to answer that?" Rin turned to glance at Artoria and Casa beside him. His voice rang out boldly. "Of course, it'll become reality."
"Hahahaha! Just for saying that, you've earned a place in my heart!" Brogy raised his axe in salute. "Rin Pandora, from this moment on, you are a friend of Brogy the Red Ogre!"
"And also a friend of Dorry the Blue Ogre!" Dorry grinned widely.
"You two are my friends as well." Rin returned the grin.
...
Time passed slowly.
Because of the bond formed with the two ancient warriors, Rin and his crew decided to stay on Little Garden for an extra week.
By the end of that week, the log pose had set permanently.
They were ready to leave.
At the beach, under the bright sun and calm winds, Rin turned and waved.
"Oi! Brogy! Dorry! We're heading out!"
"Got it, Rin-boy!" Dorry waved his massive hand from the cliffside.
"We'll be here, still fighting until the day fate decides our winner!" Brogy roared with laughter.
Rin nodded, then grinned wide. "Make sure you two read the papers! Remember the name Rin Pandora! The Pandora Pirates are going to shake the Grand Line to its core!"
He jumped aboard his ship.
"Pandora Pirates set sail!!"
The anchor lifted, sails billowed in the wind, and their ship began to glide across the waves.
Carrying dreams. Carrying ambition. Moving toward the next great adventure.
Dorry and Brogy watched from the cliff until the ship was just a dot on the horizon.
Then, with smiles on their faces, they stood tall again.
"Hahahaha, what a strange but amusing brat," Dorry said, slinging his sword over his shoulder.
"Yeah… he reminded me of that man," Brogy said thoughtfully.
"You mean Roger?"
"Mm. That same fire."
"You think he'll be the next Roger?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"My gut tells me… he's going to surpass even Roger."
They laughed heartily, then turned and walked back into the jungle, toward the ancient altar that marked their dueling ground.
They resumed their age-old fight as if nothing had changed.
But something had.
And as for Rin he remained unaware of the impression he had left behind.
He was already busy… charting his next move, and preparing for the chaos yet to come.
