Chapter 30 - The start of new legend

After minutes of slashing and stabbing, Forsyx finally stabbed his knife below Hibiki's eye socket and popped out its first eye.

Before he could switch to the second eye, he saw Lucami already there with the second eye in her hand.

The snake hissed in pain.

Not caring about it, he just turned into the Pipler bird and flew to a nearby tree.

All the players and creatures around the battlefield had their eyes glued to him.

He switched back to human, took out a water tank, and poured all of it on his head to remove all the blood from him.

Not stopping there, he even poured the second tank—this time, he even made sure to clean his guild badge.

Unaware that right below him, the sunset was happening.

When he cleaned the white badge, it started shining in the ever-decreasing sunlight.

Many casual players recorded all this while salivating.

The Hibiki hissed at that moment.

Hissssss!

Just after it, even the red fox howled.

Awoooo!

This pulled everyone's casual minds out of their trance, while the pros—including Kos—were already on the beasts.

After cleaning himself, he looked at the beasts.

Even though they were full of slashes, both of them still had more than 20 percent of their health left.

He glanced at his status and saw less than 5 mana points left. He would've loved to continue the fight, but he couldn't recover while in combat.

Also, he wasn't even sure if these beasts were worth taking that risk.

Now he understood why they say any beast in the beginner village is just a shell, nothing else.

It was true because even though these beasts were physically strong, they didn't have the power skills that made real bosses terrifying.

It was like they were here with restrictions just to give new players a fake sense of satisfaction.

He still had his doubts regarding the mother Hibiki snake. So he just shook his head, switched back to the bird, and flew away.

Some players below shouted in desperation when they saw the bird flying off.

One guy shouted, "Sir Birdman, wait!"

A girl started screaming, "Ahhh! That white bird looked so cute!"

The dude next to her shook his head and said, "Idiot, that's just a common pipler bird."

She did not back down and started jumping up and down, shouting, "No, you're the idiot! Didn't you see it looked a bit different from a normal bird?"

Another girl from the side backed her up. "Yeah, I saw that bird—it looked cooler."

Even a guy from the side added, "Ah, if you say it's cool, then I believe you girls. Even I found that blood-covered bird cool."

Many nodded at this.

While one section of players was busy debating whether Forsyx's pipler bird was different or not, with one side clearly the majority.

Another group of players, who weren't as clueless, rushed toward the snake.

One of them shouted the question on everyone's mind: "Why did that Sir Birdy not kill the beasts?"

The second guy said, "Who knows, maybe he ran out of gas."

The third one shouted back, "Idiot! From which angle did he look tired? Did you forget those savage laughs? Did that look tired to you?"

Another one chimed in, "Yeah, don't speak nonsense."

The second guy waved his hand. "Okk okk, then you guys tell me why he did that."

At this, the first one said in doubt, "Wait… Don't tell me… He did it for us?"

The one beside him asked, "What do you mean?"

The first guy stitched together his own version of the story and said, "Ah, dude, think about it. He just took the eyes himself and left the rest for us."

Many looked at him in doubt.

But another idiot backed him and switched the topic: "Yeah, that might be true. By the way, did anyone recognize that guild badge?"

A young dude said in pain, "I was too far away. All I saw was white. Did anyone see it?"

But the second guy said with smugness, "Yeah, I saw it. It had some kind of a silver bear on it."

When the young guy heard it, he shouted, "Silver Bear?! Wait—is it Kiyon bastards?"

The second guy asked with interest, "Oh, you know them?"

The young guy nodded with enthusiasm. "Yeah, my brother was in the same city as them, and he always cursed them and called them weak."

The first guy cut in, "Dude, your brother must be jealous of them."

The young kid shouted, "Hey, don't talk badly about my brother!"

The first guy didn't back down. "Oh? Then tell me—did that Sir Birdy look weak to you?"

At that, the young guy just scratched his head in confusion. "Ahhh…"

But those around him just focused on a single line: "Kiyon guild, is it?"

One of them even shouted, "Sir Birdy is from the Kiyon guild!"

"Kiyon guild! Sir Birdy!" — This echoed across the battlefield.

From the pros who were busy smashing monsters to the fangirls at the back, all heard that same thing.

Unknown to Forsyx, he got two fan names at the same time.

Some impressed by his coolness called him Cute Birdman, while those impressed by his savagery called him Sir Birdy.

Along with this name, another buzz started among the players about the Kiyon guild.

Forsyx smiled at the mess he created.

With this action he just now achieved the biggest thing he planned to do in the beginner village, which was to make a name for himself.

Now he checked that box.

Not wanting to stay in this mess for long, Forsyx just flew above the air.

This time free from most tension, enjoying the air while also examining the situation at the second site.

He didn't see any stone snake—it looked like someone had already killed it and taken the system loot.

As he continued to look around, he saw another interesting situation unfolding.

He couldn't help but smile when he saw Cion, Rodium, and Zanarc, along with their guild members, all had surrounded the Radiant Trio.

He even spotted Drakim and Lucami watching the situation from the side.

Though he was surprised to see Lucami already there.

Her speed kind of rivaled his flying speed.

Except for Kos, who was still busy chiming the Hibiki snake, all those with the quest were here.

Not wanting to be left out, he screamed—

"Coooooooo!"

—then dived to a nearby branch.

It would be fun to enjoy the show now.
