When the sun had set Arthur and Rayne both expected an attack from the vpires but they never came,it seems like they relied on the monster to bring them new prey
Arthur didn't signal before jumping into the water,Rayne sighed and followed him behind
"What an idiot,rushing in without a plan" Rayne muttered
"But this is the plan,grab us some monster meat to eat" Arthur mumbled in the water
Arthur was able move very efficiently in the water,the pain that had been a shackle for Rayne had been overcome by Arthur,he could freely move his body how he liked without restriction
At the thought of this Rayne bit his mouth in annoyance,the guy was actually getting stronger than him
Arthur swam faster making it hard for Rayne to keep up,he quickly spotted the monster and gave it a swift kick in the stomach but it didn't budge and grabbed Arthur's leg throwing him away
Rayne had quickly created his bow and arrow firing it at the monster but he then realised,he couldn't believe he hadn't thought of this
He was under water so the flames quickly went extinguished,the monster then held his body tightly squeezing all the air out of him
Arthur quickly came giving it another kick in the guts making it let go of Rayne,he looked at Rayne and told him to stay back
The monster then rushed at him but he used both of his legs to crush the monsters neck,theonsternused it arms to try to escape but Arthur's grip was strong
He then managed to snapped the monsters head away from the body,he looked at Rayne who had an expressionless face the entire time
'Could have at least thanked me'
They then carried the monsters bodyaway from the water and began to roast it in a fire,and ate it,it wasn't the most tasty thing but it was better than nothing
Ever since they had come back Rayne seemed to be even more expressionless,just when Arthur thought he was opening up
He went up besides Raynen and sat besides him,he then spoke up "Don't think I didn't notice the face you made when I beat you in the fight and saved you"
He then looked at Rayne straight in the eye and spoke out "You're jealous"
Before Rayne could utter a word Arthur quickly cut him off and continued speaking " Don't be jealous,I spend every day cursing my lack of change,I don't know how to use my power"
He saw that Rayne looked like didn't seem to care about what he was saying so he decided he should get to the point
"I guess even if I scream weakly my words wound get through you" Arthur sighed
"Don't waste your time getting jealous over me,you're way better than me in any way,I'm just a zombie" Arthur then walked away to where Olivia was
She seemed to be fast asleep,he couldn't didn't feel sleepy not like he needed sleep,it made him feel uncomfortable a bit
'I haven't felt any good in a while now,I feel like I might go crazy' he said crouching to his knees
