Chapter 113 - Chapter 113 – Interview (Part 2)

Haifeng gave a relaxed smile.

"That's a great question. Or, I should say… two questions."

He continued without skipping a beat.

"First, yes, our turbocharged engine will reshape the automotive industry.

Historically, every car on the market ran on naturally aspirated engines. There was no real choice."

"Now, for the first time, there is a choice."

The audience leaned in as he spoke.

"The market will favor turbocharged engines.

That doesn't mean naturally aspirated ones will disappear.

Each has its strengths."

"Whether you develop turbocharged or naturally aspirated engines—it doesn't matter.

What matters is your R&D capabilities."

"A weak team can ruin a good direction.

A strong team can create gold from scrap."

"At Audi Motors, we're not saying one type is superior.

We're saying—you should have both. And make both excellent."

The reporters froze for a moment.

That wasn't just a technical answer.

It was a challenge—a declaration.

He's calling every other company's R&D weak.

He didn't say it outright, but he didn't have to.

"Same engine, different outcome." That's him saying:

Your 'limit' is our starting point.

It was elegant.

Polite. Measured.

But to those in the know? It was a dagger.

"Even your best engine isn't good enough in our hands."

And to top it off, Haifeng made it sound like a casual insight, not an insult.

Are the foreign giants watching the interview?

Seething.

But what could they do?

Nothing.

You can't beat someone in tech and get mad when they show it.

And more importantly, this was the perfect PR bomb.

Why spend $10 million on ads when a viral press quote reaches you globally?

Haifeng didn't need to pay attention.

He made headlines just by talking like he knew he was right—because he was.

As the interview ended, he answered one final question and left the stage.

Within minutes, news outlets pushed the interview live.

Titles like:

"Shocking! Audi Motors CEO Just Said This on Live TV!"

"R&D Isn't About Categories—It's About Strength. Do You Agree?"

"Turbo vs. NA: Audi's Boss Settles It in One Sentence"

"400,000 Units in Two Years? Ambition or Madness?"

"China's Turbo Era Begins—From the Mouth of Audi's CEO"

And then?

🚗 Reality Hits the Streets

The next day, the Audi A4 officially launched nationwide.

Every 4S store across the country opened reservations.

Crowds swarmed every showroom.

People didn't ask about features.

They didn't haggle.

They just lined up, signed, and paid.

"Salesperson! I want to order a car!"

"Give me the top-tier 2.0 T. I'll pay in full—take it now."

"What?! Sold out?!"

"Okay… when can I get mine?"

"A month wait? Fine. I'll take it."

Others were sprinting through the doors.

"I should've come earlier…"

"Wait, you're telling me you got here at 7:30 a.m. and STILL haven't finished signing?"

"Forget it—I'm skipping the test drive. Just give me the keys when it's ready."

The store staff?

Overjoyed.

They had been worried at first. Audi Motors was a new brand, after all.

They had bet millions on these showrooms—rental, renovations, dealership fees.

If things flopped, they were ruined.

But now?

They were printing money.

Even with Haifeng enforcing no price hikes, every store had a clean 15% profit margin built in.

With orders stacked to the ceiling?

That gamble just turned into a jackpot.
