Chapter 23: Legends Forge
Planet Vexana, Entora empire
Vexana is a large planet with beautiful oceans and multiple continents. It is the home planet of the Vashin and is the most important planet in their territory. Thus making it the most protected planet in the Entora empire. On Vexana's largest continent, a facility could be seen. It is a fortified facility that spreads across multiple kilometers.
The place was armed to the teeth. With Vashin soldiers and high-tech security measures everywhere. This place is like an impenetrable fortress. It is called "The Nursery" and is one of the most important training grounds for young Vashins. In a large open area, one could see a gathering of many Vashins.
They all had a single horn on their heads and they wore combat suits. This open area was surrounded by multiple large pillars. Standing amongst the Vashin was an elegantly dressed red-horned Vashin. She had light blue skin, long white hair and light red almost pink-colored eyes. She wore a combat suit unique to generals of the Entora empire. Her combat suit strangely resembled a Japanese kimono. A sword similar to a Katana also rested on her waist.
Next to her stood another Vashin with a blue horn and short black hair. He gave off a vibe similar to that of a butler. The general is called Kaya and the man beside her is her right-hand man called Fredo. They were all waiting for the arrival of the team sent to steal the realm tunnels from the humans.
It wasn't an easy task sending those soldiers to the planet Solomon. It's the second most secure planet in the federation territory. So they couldn't send a large group. They could only send 100 of them to infiltrate the Celestial Academy and steal their realm tunnels. The federation only has realm tunnels on Earth and Solomon. They would never risk their most valuable technology falling into enemy hands.
It is unfortunate for the federation that one of the Vashin had obtained a Karna that allowed him to cloak the presence of others and objects from all types of technological detection and other magic-based detection. Soon the pillars surrounding the open area lit up. A second later space warped and 20 ream tunnels appeared perfectly arranged.
The faces of the soldiers went dark. The realm tunnels had arrived safely but none of their soldiers had appeared. "What is the meaning of this? Where are my soldiers?" General Kaya said. No one knew how to answer her questions. They had expected the possibility of casualties but not the whole team being wiped out.
"I'll search for their trackers immediately," Fredo said as he took out a tablet-looking device. He contacted their support department to search for the missing soldiers. After a few seconds, the tablet in Fredo's hands lit up as the results were sent to him. "The support department has failed to find them. Their trackers are not responding.
The last time their trackers were detected was 30 seconds ago. At the exact moment they activated the teleportation to return home their signals were lost." Fredo said. General Kaya's eyes narrowed as she asked. "Since their signals are lost they weren't killed by the humans. If that was the case we would still be able to find their tracker's signal." Fredo said "Any results on the cause of this?" Kaya asked Fredo nodded and said "Yes we do. The support department detected that during the teleportation process. The soldiers experience interference from a stronger spatial energy.
They have determined that the team sent on this mission must have been teleported somewhere else. Due to our systems not being able to locate them, it's suspected that they may have been teleported to Nexus. We are facing a similar interference when trying to find the missing soldiers. As to when we try to communicate with soldiers in Nexus" General Kaya was silent for a second. Then she ordered "Bring in the realm tunnels.
Have our scientists reverse engineer them. We need them to allow us to travel to any location in Nexus. We haven't found the spatial coordinator of Nexus so we can't use our technology to teleport there. If the missing soldiers are in Nexus we need to get them back home. If they use their Karna to teleport back into this dimension. They will end up in human territory. All soldiers return to your station until further notice."
Everyone soon began taking the realm tunnels inside The Nursery. General Kaya walked back into the buildings calmly with Fredo behind her. "Don't get too agitated Kaya. Our soldiers are strong and will survive till we reach them." Fredo said. Although General Kaya looked calm he knew how much she valued her soldiers, especially young Thorez.
"I know but it's hard. We have to find them. And once we do those Humans will pay" General Kaya said coldly. She gripped the handle of her sword. The air around the two suddenly grew heavy as pink energy petals surrounded them.

Present time, Apocalypse zone.
Samuel was in the chicken of the apartment he and Thorez found themselves in. He needed to make sure that Thorez couldn't see what he was about to do. Placed on a counter in front of him were 8 knives. Samuel collected them from around the apartment. He planned to test out his new ability "Legends Forge". Since he met the requirements to use it he hasn't gotten the opportunity to use it. But right now he got that chance. "Wait can you explain to me how this new ability of yours works again?" Sai asked as her drone projected a hologram of herself.
She was a bit taken aback by the description of his new ability. It wasn't a powerful offensive ability or anything like that. But if what Samuel said was true then his ability would have endless possibilities in how it can be used. Samuel sighed as he used Inspection on himself. He focused on his new Karna ability.
[Legends forge: A mythos-based ability that allows the user to fuse/assimilate objects together. Resulting in the creation of a new item with the properties of what was used to make it. Mythos consumption depends on the legend rank of the ingredients used for forging.]
Its description was accurate and matched what Samuel knew his Karna could do. "To put it simply. You see these knives here" Samuel said as he picked up two knives. "If everything goes well I should be able to fuse them and create a stronger knife," Samuel said as he willed his Karna to activate Legends forge. He then used inspection on the knives. They were normal kitchen knives.

Both knives had the same description. The two knives then vanished from his hands. "Where did the knives go?" Sai asked in confusion. "They're in my Myth Zone. That's where the fusion takes place." Samuel said as he focused on the interior of his Myth Zone. In this once-empty space, Samuel saw the strange cube accompanied by the knives. At first, he thought that the cube would have something to do with his new ability.
But sadly it was perfectly still. Samuel felt his karna telling him to let it guide him through the process. Following his Karna's guidance Samuel focused on the knives. He locked onto the presence of the knives and began to fuse them. Streams of golden mythos came from his Karna and entered the knives.
Samuel willed his mythos to take control of the mythos in the knives. Then he began to attach their mythos. The knives then slowly began to fuse as their forms melted together. After exactly 60 seconds the fusion was completed. In Samuel's Myth Zone now floated a single kitchen knife.
Its blade gleamed with a sharpness the previous knives couldn't compare to. Samuel summoned the knife and it appeared in his hand. Sai's drone began circling the new knife. Scanning it from top to bottom. Her voice soon followed after a few seconds "That knife is sturdier and sharper than the 2 previous ones. This ability of yours is remarkable. The fact that you can do such a thing changes what I know about matter and how it works. The possibilities of what you can do with such an ability are endless." Samuel smiled at her words "Yeah with this new ability I can catch up to the others " Samuel said as he inspected his new knife.

Seeing that the description had changed made Samuel happier. He told Sai the results of his inspection and she was also pleased. "How taxing is this ability on your Mythos capacity," Sai asked. "It didn't take much. I barely felt the decrease in my Karnas mythos." Samuel said. "Just check your status to make sure," Sai said. Samuel nodded and used inspection on himself.
