Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: General are you really gonna use force.

Yvonne shook her head. "No dad, it's Gwen. She said she and Sara will come over later to help me relax."

"Well it's okay, that's good. Today was quite a shocker. I'll go ask your mom to make some delicious dishes. You girls can relax at home."

James Logan said as he went towards the direction of the kitchen.

"Wait Dad, what about Charles? He hasn't come back yet?"

Yvonne Logan only now realized that she hadn't seen Charles Wellington since he came home.

She couldn't help but wonder.

"He's just a useless wild child. Who cares what he's doing?" James replied coldly and left.

.......

On the other side, in the western suburbs of Orange county city, Charles Wellington carried a bottle of wine and bought a bunch of flowers as he walked into the cemetery.

He had been in the city for several days, and a few days ago, he had wanted to come and pay his respects to Yvonne Logan's grandfather but he had been delayed by some petty stuffs.

Now that the crisis at the Logan Group had passed, Charles took the opportunity to spend some time with the old man.

"Mr Logan, I am Charles Wellington, a disciple of your good friend, Mr Wellington. I have come to pay my respects on behalf of my master. Rest in

peace, Mr Logan"

Charles said as he poured a full glass of wine and sprinkled it in front of the old man's tombstone.

Then he bowed three times.

Although he had never met Yvonne's grandfather, he still owed his master a debt.

As a disciple of that old man, he had an obligation to come and pay his respects on his master's behalf.

"I never thought that a homeless stray dog from the Wellington family would be a man of honor and loyalty."

A cold voice suddenly sounded from behind Charles Wellington.

If it were an ordinary person, they would probably be startled by the sudden voice in the cemetery.

But Charles remained calm.

Because he knew it was that annoying woman again.

In fact, Charles Wellington had already sensed that Melissa Quinton had been following him since he got off work.

"I know you're surprised why this general knows you're here."

"In fact, there's nothing surprising about it. In this small city, this general is well-informed, and it's not an exaggeration. Even if you hide in the underground, I can still dig you out as long as I want. So, you can't escape from my palm. If you behave, you can suffer less pain."

Melissa Quinton looked down at Charles Wellington, who was sitting on the ground drinking, with a cold gaze.

Naturally, her two assistants, Louis and Trevor followed closely behind her.

Charles was speechless about this arrogant woman.

Am I surprised?

What the hell are you talking about?

I know you've been sending people to follow me.

Charles Wellington just didn't want to talk to her.

After paying respects to the old man, he stood up and left.

"Stop!"

"This general is talking to you, didn't you hear?"

Melissa blocked Charles's way, clearly displeased.

Charles Wellington sneered.

"Hey, can you pls not put on such an arrogant face when you talk?"

"I'm just thinking now, whether a woman like you with such arrogance will take the initiative on her wedding night?"

"After all, being pinned down by someone might damage the dignity of this female General, wouldn't it?" Charles mocked.

Melissa was stunned for a moment.

After a moment's reflection, she understood Charles words and became furious.

"How dare you speak such vulgar words in front of me!" Melissa said trembling with anger.

She, who had always been cold and dignified, blushed slightly at Charles's words.

"I'm leaving!" Melissa said.

"Really? Are you still capable of feeling embarrassed?"

"You!!!!...." Melissa said almost exploding in anger.

Charles Wellington was shocked to see Melissa Quinton's blushing face, finding it unbelievable.

"Mr Charles, you should leave now..."

Trevor, who was standing next to them, realized that the situation was not good and quickly pulled Charles Wellington away, whispering to him.

Indeed, Charles had noticed that Melissa was on the verge of exploding.

As the saying goes, a wise man does not fight when the odds are against him.

So after teasing Melissa for a while, Charles quickly ran away.

"Charles, you bastard!"

"If I don't punish you today, I'm not worthy of this military uniform!" Melissa shouted.

"Stop right there!"

"I command you to stop!"

"Charles Wellington, you can run, but you can't escape from me!"

"In three days, your brother will bring your mother to Orange county city"

"By then, you will come willingly or unwillingly!"

"Even if I have to tie you up, I will make sure that I bring you to my bed!"

Melissa Quinton's angry voice echoed throughout the cemetery.

One could be sure that those wandering ghosts and lost souls around the cemetery were scared away by Melissa's angry voice.

As for Charles Wellington, he had long since disappeared.

"General, pls calm down."

"Next time, I will teach that brat a lesson with together with Louis and vent your anger for you!"

Inside the cemetery, Trevor and Louis tried to calm their leader down.

But in their hearts, they admired Charles Wellington greatly, thinking that he was truly capable to make General Melissa so angry.

When his brother Maxwell Wellington, was caught cheating on her, General Melissa wasn't even this furious.

"That bastard won't be able to jump around for much longer."

"In three days, when his brother arrives, he won't be able to do anything."

Melissa suppressed her anger and snorted.

Trevor and Louis were stunned.

"General Melissa, are you really going to use force?"

.....

After leaving the cemetery, Charles Wellington returned to the Logan family villa.

However, on the way back, Charles's heart was far from calm. It was obvious that it had something to do with what Melissa had said earlier.

It had been twenty years since he had seen his family from the Wellington family.

And although he had long regarded them as strangers in his heart, the thought of a woman who gave him life and a man who shared the same blood as him arriving in the same city he was made it impossible for Charles to remain calm.

"Mother, brother, it's been twenty years. In your eyes, am I still the same mute and helpless boy from twenty years ago? In your eyes Malcolm is still stupid" Charles laughed at himself.

Yes, Charles's real name was Charles Malcolm Wellington.

Like his brother Maxwell Xavier Wellington,he belonged to the rich second generation of the Wellington family. However, later on, the family deemed him a fool and felt that he had tarnished their long line generation, so they changed his name to Charles.

Yeah no surname. Shocking right.

But now, none of that mattered. Nothing mattered anymore. He didn't want anything to do with the Wellington family. He wouldn't see them, nor did he want to. As the family letter had said, it was best to never contact them again. They could pretend that they never had a son like him. And as for Charles, he could pretend that he never had a family.
