Chapter 8: Can Phantoms Catch a Cold?!

Boom!!!!

Tony's Gravattack Fist collided with Morgana's Demon Claw, unleashing a powerful shockwave that sent tremors across the battlefield. Everything within a dozen miles shook violently as the sheer force of the impact distorted the air itself.

The crushing power of Tony's attack was overwhelming. Even with its immense durability, the Demon Claw couldn't withstand such raw gravitational force. In an instant, it was blasted away like a ragdoll.

"Damn... the power of compressed gravity is this terrifying?!" Morgana muttered in disbelief as she watched her signature weapon get effortlessly repelled.

She had always considered her Demon Claw to be on par with Holy Kaisa's Silver Blade—a near-indestructible weapon forged from dark uru-silver, capable of slicing through most materials in the universe.

And yet, Tony's Gravattack Fist had shattered her expectations entirely.

"This... is worth studying."

Morgana's mind whirled with possibilities. She had never invested much in gravity-based combat. But now, she saw the potential. If she could harness gravity-based weaponry and equip her Demon Legion, their combat power would skyrocket.

The thought made her lick her lips as a greedy glint flashed in her eyes.

"Kid, the more I see you, the more I want to take you for myself," Morgana purred, staring intently at Tony.

Her sultry yet predatory gaze sent a shiver down Tony's spine. With her dark, gothic outfit and wild, untamed energy, she wasn't exactly his type.

Tony scoffed. "Sorry, but I'm not interested in old women like you."

Morgana froze.

Wait...

Did this brat just... reject her?!

She, the mighty Demon Queen, worshipped across galaxies, had been turned down by a nobody?!

Across the universe, beings lusted after her—even the perverted Death God Karl would probably sell his soul for a night with her.

And yet, Tony looked down on her?!

A dark aura flared around Morgana as anger boiled in her veins.

"You little bastard... if you don't understand respect, then allow me to educate you!"

She roared, launching her Demon Claw once more.

But this time, she added a wormhole calculation into the attack.

In an instant, the Demon Claw vanished—only to reappear directly above Tony's head, transformed into a gigantic dark iron fist that came crashing down.

"Gravitational Barrier!"

Tony clasped his hands together, summoning a deep purple energy field around himself.

BOOM!!!!

A thunderous explosion echoed through the battlefield as the Demon Claw smashed into the barrier. The shockwave distorted space itself, but the Gravitational Barrier remained unbroken.

Morgana's eyes narrowed.

"Redefine space... break his barrier!"

Her pupils glowed white as she activated her hacking ability, attempting to decrypt Tony's gravity field in real time.

> [Decoding gravitational matrix…]

[Analyzing energy composition…]

[Decryption Progress: 10%... 20%... 30%... 40%... 50%...]

Tony felt it instantly.

His Gravitational Barrier was being analyzed—broken down by some kind of advanced calculation ability.

He couldn't let this continue.

"Hmph… you think that's all I've got?" Tony smirked before releasing his barrier.

But instead of dispersing, the energy morphed—expanding into a massive Gravitational Net that wrapped around the Demon Claw, completely sealing it in place.

Then, Tony grinned.

"Let's turn the tables."

With a flick of his hands, he reversed gravity itself, sending the Demon Claw hurtling toward Morgana at breakneck speed.

Morgana's eyes widened.

"???!!!"

"What the hell are you?!" she shouted in frustration.

At the last second, she activated a wormhole, instantly teleporting behind herself to evade the incoming attack.

But Tony was already one step ahead.

He waved his hands again, manipulating gravity like a puppet master.

The Demon Claw twisted in mid-air, adjusting its trajectory, and once again pursued Morgana relentlessly.

"Damn it!!" Morgana cursed. "If my Demon Army was here, I'd crush this brat in seconds!"

Her Demon Legion was still inactive, with only Ato recently resurrected. If she had her full gravity computation systems, she could easily reclaim control over the Demon Claw.

But now?

She was forced to dodge.

From the sidelines, Ato gritted his teeth. He watched helplessly as his Queen was forced on the defensive.

Even injured and beaten down, his warrior's spirit burned.

Ignoring his wounds, he charged forward, sword in hand, rushing toward Tony.

"You're half-dead, and you're still coming at me? You should've stayed down," Tony muttered, annoyed.

Without even looking, he redirected the Demon Claw, sending it barreling toward Ato instead.

Ato's pupils contracted.

He tried to move—tried to dodge—but the overwhelming gravity still had him pinned down.

He couldn't escape.

"Ato, get over here!" Morgana shouted, summoning another wormhole.

Just as the Demon Claw was about to pulverize Ato, the wormhole swallowed him, teleporting him to Morgana's side.

Ato gasped for breath, sweat dripping down his forehead.

"I… failed you, my Queen…" he muttered in shame.

"It's not your fault," Morgana replied, eyes dark. "This guy is a damn monster."

Her database held no records of Gravattack—no alien species capable of such precise gravity control.

"That damn Karl really screwed me over this time!"

Meanwhile, across the galaxy…

In the Underworld Star System, Death Song Academy…

Death God Karl sat peacefully in his throne, surrounded by his loyal followers.

And then—

"ACHOO!!!"

He sneezed.

The entire room fell silent.

Karl frowned. "...Strange. Why would I sneeze?"

Beside him, his most loyal lackey, Nuo Si, furrowed his brows.

"...My lord… can phantoms catch colds?"

Karl paused.

"…That's ridiculous. Of course not."

He waved his hand dismissively.

Nuo Si nodded obediently and fell silent.

And yet, Karl couldn't shake the uneasy feeling in his chest.

As if someone, somewhere, was cursing his name…
