Location: Border of the Douluo Divine Realm – The Forest of Life – The Palace of Life
(3rd Point of view)
The roof of the Palace of Life was constructed of growing grass, with various vines adorning the walls. Wildflowers and roses bloom alongside immortal herbs that flourish on the porch.
The palace itself was a soft shade of green, exuding an air of serenity and vitality. Inside, the floor was covered in lush grass, and at the center of the grand hall stands a majestic oak tree, its ancient trunk stretching towards the ceiling, supporting it like a pillar of nature itself.
This oak tree was directly connected to the Ancient Tree of Life, an Ultra Divine Tool of the Goddess of Life. This sacred tree has existed since the Divine Realm's inception, governing the very essence of Life Intent, standing equal to the Destruction Scepter in power and significance.
In the private chambers of the Goddess of Life, a quiet tranquility lingered in the air. Hui Mie slowly stirred, his arms still wrapped around his wife, unwilling to let go even after seven days spent in private celebration. He had refused to leave her side, treasuring every moment they shared.
Peace, true and undisturbed, washed over him.
A gentle smile graced his lips as he gazed at his wife. Carefully, he brushed a loose strand of her brown hair aside before placing a soft kiss on her forehead.
Lying there, looking up at the ceiling, he felt something rare—a sense of complete contentment. In this moment, he was not a God King burdened by responsibilities. He was simply a man, a husband, and now, a soon-to-be father.
The affairs of the God Realm, the endless duties of the Divine Realm Committee, even the lingering jealousy he had felt toward Tang San for effortlessly conceiving a child with Xiao Wu—all of it faded away.
Extending his Divine Consciousness, he gently checked on his wife's condition and their little miracle growing within her. His heart pounded as realization truly set in.
"My wife is pregnant… We're finally going to have a child..... Oh gods, we're going to have a child."
A wave of emotions crashed over him. Excitement, nervousness, a touch of fear—what was he supposed to do now? What steps did he need to take? How could he be the best husband possible during the next eight months? And when the time came, how could he be the best father?
His mind raced with endless questions.
What books should he read? Why had Sheng Ming made so many jokes about him not needing to sleep with her anymore now that she was pregnant? Was he supposed to start preparing for their child 100-Day Celebration? What should he do first?
A chuckle escaped him, shaking his head at his own flustered thoughts. He gave his wife another gentle kiss on the cheek before carefully slipping out of bed.
Swiftly, he changed into his regal attire, draping his signature purple cloak over his shoulders. With a deep breath, he suppressed his overwhelming destruction intent and stepped outside.
It did not take long for a familiar voice to greet him.
"Congratulations, my lord, on the upcoming birth of your child."
Hui Mie turned towards the voice, his crimson eyes softening as he saw the young butler standing before him.
Cybasta, the chief steward of the Palace of Life, maintained his usual composed demeanor, hands neatly clasped in front of him. His antler-like horns bore small budding leaves—a reflection of the ever-present vitality within the palace.
"Thank you, Cybasta," Hui Mie replied, his voice carrying an uncharacteristic warmth. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, the weight of his divine responsibilities seemed to lift, replaced by the quiet joy of impending fatherhood.
Cybasta studied his master carefully, noticing the subtle shift in his aura—destruction suppressed, replaced by something far gentler. "My lord, it brings me great joy to witness such an auspicious event. The entire Forest of Life rejoices for you and the Lady of Life."
The Divine Realm had never fully recovered from the fall of the Dragon God and the catastrophic Great Divine War. In that fateful conflict, more than seventy percent of the gods and divine beasts had perished, leaving the once-mighty Divine Realm in ruins. The number of planes under their dominion dwindled, their grasp on the cosmos weakened.
In the aftermath, many god-tier beasts were either sealed within forbidden zones or executed by the Divine Realm Committee, their bodies and souls reduced to mere nourishment to stabilize the crumbling realm.
Yet, not all suffered that fate. Powerful beings such as the Morass Monster, the Thunder Dragon, the Twin-Headed Dragon, and Cybasta—who was, in truth, the Black Jade Divine Tree—had remained neutral, refusing to join the Divine Beast Rebellion. Thanks to the Goddess of Life's intervention, they were spared from extermination. Instead, they were imprisoned within the Forest of Life, allowing them to survive and pass down their legacies.
As a result, it was only natural that many of these divine beasts had pledged their eternal loyalty to the Goddess of Life, repaying her for her mercy.
Hui Mie exhaled, shaking his head with a small chuckle. "Rejoices, huh? Then why do I feel more anxious than ever?" He ran a hand through his hair, his expression wavering between excitement and nervousness.
Cybasta's lips curled into a knowing smile. "That is the fate of all fathers, my lord. However, I assure you, the Lady of Life is in the best care. If I may, shall I arrange a grand banquet in celebration?"
Hui Mie hesitated before shaking his head. "Not yet. For now, I just want to be by her side."
Cybasta inclined his head respectfully. "As you wish, my lord. However, I will arrange a small gathering among the palace attendants. Even the palace itself seems to bloom brighter with the news."
At those words, Hui Mie finally took note of his surroundings. The vines adorning the palace walls had begun to sprout delicate flowers, and the scent of fresh greenery filled the air. Even the Ancient Tree of Life, visible through the grand archways, pulsed with renewed vitality.
A slow smile spread across his lips. Perhaps, for once, his destructive power would not be the force that shaped his future—this time, it was creation.
He turned back to Cybasta. "Fine. But keep it small. I don't need the whole Divine Realm knowing just yet."
Cybasta chuckled, bowing deeply. "Of course, my lord. Discretion is my specialty."
With a faint smile still lingering on his face, Hui Mie made his way across the Palace of Life, paying little mind to the bowing servants—whether they were divine beasts or lesser gods.
Reaching the edge of the Forest of Life, he finally halted. Taking a deep breath, he let his aura surge forth.
Instantly, all the surrounding vegetation withered and crumbled to dust. Despite his best efforts to suppress it, the sheer weight of his Destruction Intent devoured the life around him. He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. His wife was definitely going to punish him for this.
Slowly, nine divine purple rings materialized around him, pulsating with destruction energy. With a final glance back at the Palace of Life, he exhaled and flicked his wrist.
Reality itself shattered.
Casually, he stepped forward, walking through the broken void.
.... ..... ....
Location: Border of the Douluo Divine Realm – God of Destruction's Territory – Palace of Destruction
The God of Destruction's domain was the antithesis of the Forest of Life. Where the Forest of Life flourished with boundless vitality, his land was bathed in an overwhelming aura of destruction, warping the very fabric of space.
The sheer concentration of destruction energy rendered it inhospitable to most gods—only those at the level of a Second-Class God or higher could withstand the relentless corrosion of its atmosphere.
This was one of the reasons why the God of Destruction was feared most among the Five True God-Kings of the Divine Realm.
At the heart of this desolate land stood a magnificent black palace, shrouded in perpetual storms of lightning and thunder. It had remained that way for as long as the gods could remember—a manifestation of Hui Mie's boundless power.
However, this was only natural.
Just as the Goddess of Life, using her Ultra-Divine Tool—the Ancient Tree of Life—regulated the flow of life intent throughout the Divine Realm and the worlds under its jurisdiction, the God of Destruction performed a similar duty.
Wielding the Destruction Scepter, he governed the destructive forces of the cosmos. It was his hand that annihilated decaying worlds that drained too many resources. It was his judgment that unleashed heavenly tribulations upon beasts attempting to ascend to godhood. It was his power that tested those who sought divinity.
The moment Hui Mie arrived in his throne room, the warmth from earlier vanished, replaced by an expression as cold and unyielding as steel.
Stretching out his hand, a scepter materialized beside him.
The Destruction Scepter was akin to a bolt of divine lightning. Over six meters in length, its body radiated a deep purple-black glow, exuding an aura so terrifying that even the sky seemed to tremble before it.
Gripping the scepter tightly, Hui Mie allowed his divine consciousness to expand across the entirety of the Divine Realm, honing in on eight specific individuals.
His voice resonated like thunder within their minds.
"Tan Lan, Fen Nu, Tan Shi, Ao Man, Ji Du, Se Yu, Lan Duo, and Zhou Weiqing—report to the Palace of Destruction immediately."
The moment his command echoed through their souls, all eight figures immediately ceased what they were doing. Without hesitation, they turned toward the God of Destruction's palace, moving at full speed.
Something was about to begin.
That was the only thought running through the minds of the eight figures as a chilling, absolute command echoed within their souls.
The summons of the God of Destruction was not to be ignored.
One after another, streaks of divine light tore through the chaotic skies of the God of Destruction's domain, descending upon the Palace of Destruction in blinding flashes. Each arrival was accompanied by a shift in the air, their very presence warping the space around them, a testament to their immense power.
The first to arrive was Se Yu, the Goddess of Lust, her presence sultry yet dangerous. She materialized in a swirl of deep violet mist, her form barely concealed beneath shimmering silks of amethyst and obsidian.
A teasing smirk played on her lips, but her golden eyes gleamed with sharp curiosity. The urgency in the summons told her that this was no ordinary gathering.
Ao Man, the God of Pride, was next, his entrance as grand as his nature. A towering figure clad in silver and crimson armor, he stepped forth as if he had always belonged in the throne room. His golden hair flowed behind him like a king's mantle, and his eyes—brilliant and unwavering—swept across the chamber with the confidence of one who believed himself above all others.
Without a sound, Lan Duo, the God of Sloth, appeared near one of the towering pillars, his presence barely registering at first. He yawned, stretching lazily before leaning against the cold obsidian structure. His hooded robe concealed much of his features, but beneath it, his sleepy gaze flickered with hidden wisdom. "Tch... so much effort just to be here," he muttered, though the way he moved betrayed his readiness.
Then came Fen Nu, the God of Wrath, and Tan Shi, the God of Gluttony, arriving in tandem like twin storms. Fen Nu's entire body pulsed with an aura of barely contained rage, his orange battle robes flickering with embers of divine fire.
Every step he took left faint scorch marks on the marble floor. Tan Shi, in contrast, was a mountain of a man, his golden-red armor decorated with sigils of endless hunger. His laughter rumbled like distant thunder as he patted his stomach. "Whatever this is about, I hope it comes with a feast."
A gust of icy wind followed as Ji Du, the Goddess of Envy, arrived. Her emerald eyes gleamed with suspicion, ever watchful of those around her. Draped in an elegant but dark robe, she moved with a cat-like grace, always calculating, always watching. She said nothing, but the sharpness in her gaze revealed her mind was already racing ahead.
Tan Lan, the God of Greed, arrived in a burst of golden energy, his very presence exuding an overwhelming sense of desire. The intricate rings on his fingers shimmered as he adjusted his cuffs, his gaze darting between the others, already considering what he might gain from this meeting. "Interesting... very interesting," he murmured to himself.
Lastly, unlike the others who arrived with bursts of divine energy, Zhou Weiqing, the God of Damage, simply walked through the open doors. His black robes fluttered slightly, and his calm yet firm steps betrayed no urgency, yet he had arrived as swiftly as the others had.
Though he was not officially part of the Original Sin Gods, the God of Destruction had given him and his family sanctuary—an honor Zhou Weiqing did not take lightly. His red eyes met Hui Mie's, silently acknowledging the weight of this gathering.
As the eight figures stood before him, the throne room crackled with tension. The walls, adorned with jagged obsidian and glowing veins of destruction energy, pulsed in response to the power gathered within.
On his throne, the God of Destruction sat motionless, his face unreadable, his red eyes sharp and unrelenting.
Then, he finally spoke.
"You are all here. Good."
His voice was low yet carried a weight that silenced even the boldest among them
The air in the Palace of Destruction felt heavier than usual, thick with an unspoken tension. The eight gathered gods stood before their lord, their expressions a mix of anticipation and apprehension. The God of Destruction, Hui Mie, rarely called them all together unless it was something of grave importance.
For those who had followed him for eons, his silence was unnerving. They had seen him battle gods, argue with Tang San, the Sea God, and even argue with his own wife, the Goddess of Life, Sheng Ming. But never before had he called them here with such an unreadable expression.
What had happened?
Had he finally reached a breaking point with Tang San?
Or worse—had he somehow angered his wife again?
The silence stretched, making even the most confident among them uneasy. Then, to their utter shock, Hui Mie smiled.
That single gesture sent a ripple of disbelief through the room.
And then he spoke.
"My wife is pregnant."
For a moment, time seemed to freeze.
The eight gods stood motionless, struggling to process the words. Then, as realization dawned, the room erupted into celebration. Genuine joy bloomed across their faces—especially among the Original Sin Gods.
They had been with their lord for so long, had seen his deepest struggles. They knew, more than anyone, how much Hui Mie had longed for this moment.
The Seed of Destruction that resided within him should have made it impossible for him to have a child. And yet, against all odds, it had happened.
One by one, they stepped forward to offer their congratulations.
Ji Du, the Goddess of Envy, was the first to speak. Her emerald eyes gleamed with excitement, her usual sly smirk replaced with something far more genuine. "A miracle child, born of destruction and life…" she mused, placing a hand over her heart. "My lord, you truly never cease to surprise us." Her voice carried an uncharacteristic warmth as she dipped into a graceful bow.
Ao Man, the God of Pride, let out a deep, booming laugh, his golden lion-like mane rippling with the movement. "Hah! As expected of my lord! Even the laws of the universe bow before you!" He struck his chest with his fist, grinning wide. "Your son shall be a force unlike any the realm have ever seen. I look forward to watching him surpass us all!"
Lan Duo, the God of Sloth, lazily waved a hand, but the smile tugging at his lips betrayed his usual indifference. "You know… I might actually make an effort to show up for this little one." He yawned, stretching, before glancing at Hui Mie with amusement. "Maybe fatherhood will finally slow you down a little, huh?"
Ji Du rolled her eyes at him before stepping aside, making way for Tan Shi, the God of Gluttony. Her crimson eyes sparkled mischievously as she approached, her long violet hair swaying behind her. "A baby, huh?" She tapped a slender finger against her chin. "I hope he has your wife's temper and not yours, my lord—otherwise, we'll have an unstoppable little war god running around." She winked before flashing a playful grin. "Of course, I'll make sure to prepare only the finest delicacies for the little lord's first feast!"
Zhou Weiqing hesitated for a brief moment before stepping forward. His usually carefree demeanor had been replaced with something more solemn. "My lord… I swear if ever there is a threat to your child, I will stand against it, no matter the cost." His deep voice was unwavering, his hands clenching into fists.
Hui Mie met his gaze, and for a moment, there was no need for words.
Tan Lan, the God of Greed, chuckled, the golden rings on his fingers glinting under the divine light of the chamber. "Well, well, well… A new heir to the most powerful family in the Divine Realm?" He grinned. "Tell me, my lord—when can I start placing bets on his future feats?" He laughed at his own joke, but there was no mistaking the fierce loyalty in his amber eyes.
Finally, Ji Du spoke once more, this time her tone far softer. "You have always fought for us, my lord. You have always led us with unwavering strength." She lifted her gaze, the sharpness in her emerald eyes giving way to something almost reverent. "Now, let us fight for you. For your wife. For your son."
A deep warmth spread through Hui Mie's chest as he gazed at his most trusted companions. His family.
His lips parted, his voice quieter than before, but filled with more emotion than they had ever heard from him.
"…Thank You."
A comfortable silence fell upon the throne room.
Ji Du, the Goddess of Envy, was the first to speak. "What of the child's condition?" she asked, her emerald eyes filled with curiosity.
Hui Mie's smile softened. "He is a boy. His name is Hui Xuanyan, and he is healthy."
More congratulations followed, but Hui Mie soon raised a hand, silencing them. His red eyes gleamed dangerously as his aura flared—a suffocating force of God King-level energy filled the chamber.
"This news does not leave this room," he said, his voice carrying absolute authority. "Until I personally announce my son's birth, no one must know."
A chill ran down their spines. Even Ao Man, the God of Pride, whose arrogance knew no bounds, quickly nodded.
It was Lan Duo, the God of Sloth, who broke the heavy silence with an unexpected yawn. "You don't have to threaten us, my lord. We were your friends long before we were your followers. Your son is already our little lord, and we will protect him as our own."
The words seemed to ease some of the tension in Hui Mie's shoulders. He exhaled, and to their further astonishment, he gave them a small bow.
"I apologize for my outburst," he admitted. "I am… still adjusting. I have faced countless battles, yet this—this is different. I am afraid of failing as a father."
Silence followed, not out of fear, but out of understanding.
But before they could speak words of reassurance, Hui Mie dropped another bombshell.
"The power of Destruction and Life within him does not clash. It does not reject itself. It does not remain separate. Instead… it is showing signs of fusion.
The words shook them to their core.
To understand how shocking this was, one had to understand the history of the Divine Realm.
Life and Destruction were opposing forces . Even the God of Destruction and the Goddess of Life could only merge their powers temporarily through a God Level fusion technique, creating a crude imitation of true Creation Energy.
The only being in history who had ever naturally wielded Creation Energy the combination of life and destruction was the Dragon God.
For Hui Xuanyan's body to hold both Destruction and Life without conflict—and even show signs of fusion—was unprecedented.
"This child…" Tan Shi, the God of Gluttony, murmured in awe, "…is destined to be a genius."
Ao Man crossed his arms, his golden eyes blazing with certainty. "Becoming a god is inevitable. Reaching First-Class Godhood in a century is highly likely. And… if what you say is true… becoming a God King is only a matter of time."
Their lord's child was destined to stand at the pinnacle of all existence.
The room burst into celebration once more, this time with even greater excitement. This was no longer just about their lord's happiness—this was a turning point for the Divine Realm itself.
Then, amid the celebrations, Tan Lan, the God of Greed, asked the question on everyone's mind.
"What of the Divine Hub? The plan to wrest control from Tang San and expand the God Realm? Shall we proceed?"
The mood shifted instantly.
Zhou Weiqing stiffened at the mention of the Divine Hub and Tang San but quickly masked his reaction. However, both Hui Mie and Tan Lan noticed. Neither commented.
Hui Mie took a deep breath before answering.
"Everything has changed."
The gods fell silent, listening intently.
"Yes, the situation is dire," Hui Mie admitted. "Many mortals who should have ascended to godhood are trapped in the lower realms. The Divine Realm's growth is limited, and expanding into a Divine Star is risky but necessary."
His red eyes hardened.
"But now, I have a child. A responsibility greater than the Divine Realm itself."
He paused, looking at each of them before continuing.
"Before, I was willing to gamble. Even if the situation turned catastrophic, I was confident I could save my wife, myself, and all of you. But now…" He clenched his fist. "I cannot guarantee my child's safety if something goes wrong."
His words stirred something deep within them.
He, their lord, who stood above nearly all gods, was willing to put aside the fate of the entire Divine Realm for the sake of his unborn son.
It was deeply moving.
Then, in a voice filled with absolute certainty, Hui Mie declared his decision:
"I will wait."
"The so called Calamity that Tang San spoke of is still a distant threat. What is a mere century in the life of an immortal? I will wait until my son becomes a God King. With him, Sheng Ming, and myself—three God Kings standing together—our word will be absolute. Even the Divine Committee will have no choice but to obey."
Silence stretched through the room.
Then, one by one, his followers nodded in agreement.
They understood.
Hui Mie then gave his first order concerning his child's safety.
"From now on, I want the Forest of Life under constant watch. Patrol teams of two gods at a time—starting with Tan Lan and Zhou Weiqing."
Zhou Weiqing exhaled quietly. He had suspected this would happen. With a Divine Star expansion postponed, their lord's entire focus would shift to protecting his son.
With the heavy discussion over, Hui Mie suddenly changed the subject.
"Well, enough of this grim talk." A smirk played at his lips. "I plan to hold a celebration in the Forest of Life. My son deserves to be welcomed with joy, not just strategy."
The tension finally lifted, and the gods smiled.
Their lord was going to be a father.
And for the first time in ages… they all had something to look forward to.
