Villain: "Well, well, young heroes… you've come to my territory. Now, you'll have to pass my test!"
Yoonso and Jihan stood before him, unsure of what to expect. This strange man in a cloak, with a mask resembling a skull, was not only dangerous but oddly familiar.
Yoonso: "Wait… you're the one who took all the toys from the stores in the square, right?"
Villain: "Yes, that's me, Despero! And I can throw a few more problems your way if you think this is the end."
Jihan glanced at Despero skeptically, eyeing his massive metal gloves, which were clearly not meant for playing with kids.
Jihan: "You're not actually planning to destroy us, are you? I'm not sure I'm ready for that… I don't even have any defense!"
Yoonso: "You think we're just going to give up that easily?"
Despero: "Oh, my dear children, I'm not here to destroy you. I want something… far more interesting. You will go through trials and show me if you're worthy of being heroes!"
He snapped his fingers, and suddenly, huge mechanical contraptions started to appear around them, creating traps and obstacles. Yoonso and Jihan realized they had to act quickly.
Yoonso: "Wait… I know what to do! This will be easier than it looks. Jihan, let's put our strategy to work!"
Jihan: "You want to play team? Seriously? Alright, let's try it!"
They both dashed in different directions, maneuvering between the moving mechanical traps. Despero didn't expect such a quick and coordinated approach.
Despero: "What… what are you doing?! This isn't how it was supposed to go!"
Yoonso (smiling): "You underestimated us, old man."
After a minute they found his weak spot and shut down one of his traps, then began working on the others, gradually moving toward direct confrontation with Despero.
Jihan: "You know what, Yoonso? This is actually way easier than I thought. I'm starting to like working with you!"
Yoonso: "Remind me why we came here again?"
Jihan: "Uh…"
Lucian (voice in Jihan's head): "Don't you dare tell him I brought you here. I don't want to deal with his dad."
Jihan quickly shook his head, trying to ignore the voice in his mind.
Jihan: "I, uh, forgot too. I guess we're just… here to stop the villain, right?"
Yoonso: "A villain? That's the reason we're stuck in this place? You sure you're not just dragging me into one of your crazy adventures?"
Jihan: "Well… you see… I think I might have… kind of… missed a few details. But hey, there's a villain, and we're heroes, right?"
Lucian (voice in Jihan's head): "Great, now I have to explain it. You guys are supposed to be taking down Despero. Focus!"
Yoonso glanced at Jihan, who looked a little embarrassed.
Yoonso: "next time, tell me the plan first."
Jihan: "I'll try… I guess."
Yoonso freaks out and turns on another of his nanotechnology purity spray guns.
An hour later
Yoonso: "that wasn't in my plan."
The rescuers came, and the villains promised to return.
