The events of a few moments ago felt much like a dream to Arthur.
There was no residual pain, even though he had felt some when it was happening, he currently felt nothing.
It all felt too surreal for him.
But, then again the screen in front of him was enough proof that it was real.
"For just 20% I lost over a hundred years of my life...."
Arthur said to himself.
'What if I was given 50%?'
The answer was clear.
"I probably would have died immediately."
….
There were about 70 first year students in the testing room.
However, each students had their differences besides being of different genders.
Some wore the standard Lavender Academy uniform, but with a long dark blue robe that went to the feet.
Others wore the typical uniform.
"Hey, when is our professor coming?"
They had been waiting for 20 minutes.
"Who knows? Our test might even get canceled."
But the instructor that was supposed to come over to assign the test was nowhere to be found.
Some even went as far as to speculate that the test would be called off.
"Imagine if we don't have to do the test."
"Bro, you do know that if ours doesn't come they'll just assign us with another."
People were starting to get bored.
"I know man, I'm just trying to think positively."
"Positive? You act like you don't want to be ranked."
There were some that hoped that the test had been canceled, these were people that didn't have much confidence in their abilities.
And then there were others that wanted to use the test to show off their abilities.
Among them, there was a young man lying on the ground.
If one were to look at him, it would seem that he was beaten up. That was why most people avoided him.
But, he was actually sleeping.
To the young man, the floor was more than comfortable.
"Hey."
Someone was approaching him.
It was a surprise that someone actually cared enough to approach him.
:Are you alright, or do you need some—"
"I'm fine."
He was cut off quickly.
"Are you—"
"Yes, just leave me alone."
He was sleeping, but he was awake.
"Okay."
It wasn't hard to read the other's attitude.
He didn't want to be disturbed, so he wouldn't be.
In a minute, he was back to sleep.
"I did so that I would look like an easy target, not so I would get sympathy."
He mumbled as he turned to his side.
His ability was an odd one.
It wasn't the side-effects of a bloodline limit, or at least one that had manifested.
He was currently asleep, he couldn't see his surrounding. But, he could move his body around as easily as if he was awake.
Not only that, but he was also able to "feel" his surrounding. Not the mana, however, but the nature energy.
Every human being had mana in them, even unawakeneds, but their amount was so little nothing could manifest in them.
Yet, they still gave off mana.
The reason was because the always produce mana, even when the reserves were full it would subconsciously still produce more mana. As a result, the body let out mana passively to make room for more mana.
Nature energy on the other hand wasn't created by humans, it was the by-product of nature itself; the trees, plants, the land, nature itself gave off nature energy.
But humans couldn't absorb nature energy.
In fact, humans weren't even aware of it themselves.
Only this young man could "feel" it, and he had dubbed it nature energy.
For him, it acted like his sixth sense. Even if he couldn't see, smell, hear or taste, he could always rely on this.
It was akin to fighting an invisible monster.
The young man let out a yawn before slowly getting up, rubbing his eyes as he did.
As soon as he got up, someone entered the room.
"So this is the guy that supposed to supervise us in the test."
He murmured to himself.
Slowly, he left the corner he stayed at and moved closer to the group of people that were in the room.
"Blonde, blue eyes, handsome face, toned body, quite young, seems very strong, no."
This was the same man that had done the closing speech.
"He even matches the description I had."
His voice was low.
He was speaking to himself.
But he was undoubtedly puzzled.
"Then why did he come so late? Or do people lose their sense of time the more powerful they get?"
He shook his head, trying to get the thought out of his head.
"Who cares?"
The person that was standing next to him awkwardly shifted to the side, almost as if she was trying to move away from him.
"His face looks punchable."
His expression changed to slight contempt.
The professor was handsome, but he was not perfect.
And handsome people had punchable faces.
The young man on the other hand had snow-white hair, deep blue eyes that could make someone get lost in it if they stared too long, a handsome face, a toned body and a pair of sunshades to compliment the look.
He was one word:
Perfect.
Or, he would have been perfect if not for the bruises on his face.
"Maybe I shouldn't have intentionally bruised myself yesterday?"
He had intentionally bruised himself, just so he would be a target for nobles.
And then he would beat them up.
"No. It's probably for the best."
First impression.
Even if they didn't bully him today, they would do along the line. Now they probably thought he was some noble, probably because of his looks, it would be best if he waited for when they realized he was a commoner.
"Haah...."
He let out another yawn.
"Now."
It was the professor speaking.
"Form a group of two, one for mages and one for assassins, make sure you arrange yourselves according to your height."
"Uh?"
Instead of forming a line, he went to the person that had given the instructor.
"Didn't you hear what I said?"
The man's stern voice reached his ear.
"Yes, but sir, there's a problem."
