Three days later, the noble's son who had beaten Rael lay dead in an alley, his body drained of blood.
Whispers spread.
"A monster is lurking in the slums."
The knights of Varenthia were sent to hunt him down. Among them was Lady Selene Drakos, the youngest but deadliest knight of the Silver Order. With silver hair, piercing violet eyes, and a blade that cut through magic itself, she was known as the Crimson Knight.
When she finally cornered Rael in the ruins of an abandoned temple, their battle shook the earth.
Selene was fast. Rael was faster.
Selene's sword cut through magic. Rael's abyssal power devoured it.
