Isn't there always a story like this in fairy tales?
A princess is kidnapped by the evil Devil King and locked away in a dark dungeon. The foolish Devil King arrogantly challenges the prince, giving him enough time to grow stronger and gather allies, until finally, the prince and his companions unite to storm the Devil King's castle and rescue the princess—a cliché, overused, and downright ridiculous plot!
Yet, the situation Ethan and his group were facing now was eerily similar to that story.
Of course, Ethan wasn't a prince, and the one imprisoned wasn't a princess. In fact, the current scenario was even stranger and more unconventional!
The ones imprisoned by the Archdemons—Vanir and Maxwell, beings on par with the Devil King—weren't some poor princess, but a disgraced noble named Alderp, whose crimes were so vile that countless people wanted him dead on the spot. And Ethan's group had no intention of rescuing Alderp—instead, they wanted to defeat the demons and drag Alderp back to face execution!
Such a bizarre twist...
"Even I can't help but laugh! A foolish human like Alderp has truly exceeded expectations! So many people want him dead—whether it's us demons who want to torture him or you humans trying to 'save' him from us—everyone just wants to make him suffer! Hahahaha!"
That was Vanir, who had just been bisected by Yunyun's Light of Saber. Yet, his severed body instantly regenerated, much to the frustration of everyone present.
"If you already know that, why not just hand him over to us? Even if you're Archdemons, you can't possibly win against all of us, right?" Ethan, standing alongside Iris, pressed Vanir, speaking as if negotiating.
"True! As you say, even as an Archdemon, fighting the strongest adventurer party like yours is indeed difficult. But for Maxwell's sake—so he can have his revenge on that fool—even if it costs me my life, I'll fight you to the end!"
Vanir declared these heroic words like a knight, leaving Ethan and the others no choice but to feel a grudging admiration!
"AAAAAAH! Maxwell, you useless trash demon! Just die! Just die!"
Alderp's agonized screams rang out. While Ethan and the others were busy fighting Vanir, Alderp had unknowingly been drenched in blood, howling in pain.
With an innocent yet gleeful expression, Maxwell, also covered in blood, laughed maniacally: "Alderp! I love you so much! Let's return to hell together! Come on! I love you, Alderp!"
Then, a sinister dark energy enveloped both Alderp and Maxwell!
"Trying to escape!? Stay right there! Weapon Breaker Limit!"
Though slightly impressed by Vanir's knightly spirit, Ethan had absolutely no intention of showing mercy.
After all, rather than handing a piece of trash like Alderp over to demons for torture, Ethan would much rather torture him himself!
*BZZZTTT!*
This time, it wasn't just the air that trembled—space itself seemed to whimper in fear! Because the power capable of annihilating heaven and earth had gathered in the Cursed Sword Gram, gripped tightly in Ethan's hand!
This was the ultimate technique Verdia had once used to corner Ethan and his party—a knight skill so overwhelmingly powerful that even high-tier monsters like Manticores couldn't withstand it!
Learning this skill required as many skill points as mastering high-tier magic! If not for Ethan previously purchasing expensive Skill Potions from Wiz, it would've been impossible for him to learn it, even with his high level!
Regardless, the skills he needed weren't just Weapon Breaker Limit—there were other high-tier skills that demanded massive skill points yet were devastatingly powerful!
Weapon Breaker Limit!
Sacrificing a weapon's durability to unleash power beyond all limits!
Even Verdia's high-quality steel sword shattered after using this move. If Ethan had used a normal weapon, it might not have even activated the skill!
But the Cursed Sword Gram in Ethan's hands was a Divine Treasure! With its Indestructible and Unbreakable properties, even a skill that sacrificed durability would barely affect it!
In fact, one could say Weapon Breaker Limit was the perfect skill, tailor-made for Gram!
"Hey! Are you trying to kill that idiot human too!?"
Vanir finally sensed the threat of death and screamed in panic.
But Ethan only smirked coldly before driving his sword—the very power even an Archdemon feared—straight toward Vanir!
*BOOOOM!!!*
The force raged, obliterating everything in its path!
The dungeon? No—the entire inn was reduced to rubble in a single strike!
Had Ethan and the others not evacuated everyone around the inn beforehand, there would've been countless casualties.
But because the evacuation took time, perhaps if they hadn't done it, Alderp would've already been executed by now.
"Cough!"
Yunyun coughed as dust filled the air, then used wind magic to clear the debris, staring at the completely annihilated ruins.
"Ethan is amazing! The destruction is incredible!"
"Onii-sama truly is the best! His power is almost on par with my Holy Sword's release!" Iris gazed at Ethan with sparkling eyes, like an adoring fan.
"It's certainly an overwhelming display of strength, but I hope Ethan will be more careful next time. Repairing this damage will cost a fortune. If the Treasury Department goes bankrupt and demands he pay for it, he might just destroy their building with that move too?"
Eris sighed wearily, then warily looked up at the sky.
"One of the evil auras has diminished, but there's still one left. Is it that weird masked demon? Or the other one?"
"What terrifying power! Even I was shocked! Hahaha!"
The black-and-white mask, now devoid of a body, floated in the air, laughing uproariously!
