Here's the corrected version of the chapter, with improved grammar, spelling, and flow:
Kojo sprinted through the snow, his feet pounding against the frozen ground. A cloud of snow rose steadily, growing more distant as he approached. Kojo was almost at full speed, yet he could barely keep up with the girl. Still, he managed to close the distance, though they were moving further and further away from the town.
As he drew closer, he noticed something peculiar – she was running on all fours. His eyes widened as he took in the sight of her two beast ears atop her head and a fluffy tail that swished back and forth.
"A demi-human?" Kojo wondered aloud.
(Not quite. They seem to have a similar appearance, but she's different. And, might I add, she had those ears and tail when you first saw her. You're just too much of a lech to have noticed.)
"Yeah, yeah, sure." He rolled his eyes.
He called out to the girl, catching up to her and placing a hand on her shoulder. However, she jumped away and moved her hand so quickly it was difficult to see what she had actually done, causing the snow below to shoot upward and encase Kojo in ice. The girl stared at it for a moment, then approached cautiously, her eyes fixed on the glacier.
As Kojo waited patiently, the ice began to vaporize, and the girl took a step back. Kojo stepped out of the glacier, his eyes locked onto hers.
"Woah. Calm down. I just want to talk to you," he said, his voice gentle.
Kojo focused his energy and used his Predator skill, growing ears atop his head and a tail. He asked the girl to trust him, hoping his new appearance would put her at ease.
The girl approached cautiously, sniffing Kojo. He tried to touch her, but she backed off again, her eyes narrowing.
"Who are you?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Kojo introduced himself as Kojo Atari and asked for her name. However, she didn't respond. Kojo coughed, continuing, "I was lost in the blizzard."
The girl's expression turned cold, and she said, "That has nothing to do with me. The town is that way." She pointed to the valley, now a significant distance away, the town within appearing as a speck of light in the darkness.
Kojo glanced behind him, nodding. "Sure, but I was curious to know what you were doing all alone in the snow, and what that flower is."
The girl's demeanor changed in an instant. Her eyes flashed with anger, and she attacked Kojo, her movements swift and deadly.
Kojo dodged the girl's swift swing, her claws gleaming in the moonlight. Her movements were fluid, almost feral.
(She's not a demi-human. She's a werewolf.)
Kojo scoffed, "Yeah, right."
But then he remembered that there were Elves that lived in water and those that had a subterranean empire.
"No, scratch that, it's possible."
The girl lunged at Kojo, her claws swiping at his chest. Kojo sidestepped, his movements swift. He countered with a swift kick, but the girl dodged, her agility uncanny.
He wondered, "How did werewolves find their way to the northernmost continent?" He dodged another swing from the girl, his eyes locked onto hers.
(I'll explain later. What you need to do now is figure out what to do with the girl. We don't have a lot of time.)
Kojo thought for a moment.
"With our processing power, it would take less than a fraction of a millisecond for you to give me an in-depth report on each speck of dust on the beach," he pointed out.
The girl leapt at Kojo, her claws outstretched. Kojo raised his hands, and a blast of air deflected her attack. He countered with a swift punch, but the girl blocked it, her strength impressive.
(Do you want that information?)
"No."
(Then keep quiet and hurry this up.)
"Wait, you're using me for your entertainment, aren't you? I bet Estelle is in on it too."
He heard two women chuckling in his head and frowned. The girl took advantage of his distraction and landed a solid kick on his chest. Kojo grunted, stumbling back.
Kojo turned and tried to retreat, but the girl didn't make it easy. She pressed on, her claws swiping at Kojo. Kojo dodged and tried to grab her, but she jumped back, and he ended up with the frozen flower in his hands. The two stared at each other, then at the flower in Kojo's hands. Kojo noticed the girl staring at him with bloodlust in her eyes.
Kojo tried to calm her down, but he saw arcana gathering around her now-paw-like hands. He knew he had to act fast. With a burst of speed, Kojo made a run for it, using Quicksilver to propel himself forward as fast as he could.
The girl was hot on his heels, her roar echoing through the night.
"Hey, what gives?" Kojo yelled behind him, but the girl snarled in response.
Kojo sprinted across the tundra, the girl's ice attacks firing at him like a barrage of frozen arrows. He zigzagged across the landscape, dodging and weaving to avoid her assaults that sent snow flying into the air around him.
(She seems to be manipulating the cold temperatures through sound.)
"Huh? How's that going to help me pacify her now?"
Just then, the girl barked, and Kojo ducked. The sound wave hit the top of a nearby mountain, triggering an avalanche. Kojo's eyes widened as he watched the wall of snow cascade down the mountain.
He realized that the avalanche was headed straight for the town. While he wasn't particularly concerned about the people there, he knew there was sure to be a gateway to Eldrida. Kojo ran towards the town and came to a stop at the main street, just as people were running away in panic.
Kojo stood there as the people ran past him and thought about how he was going to solve this. There were a lot of things he could do. He could just turn the snow into water, but that would cause a flood. Or he could make a trench to swallow it up. No, seeing the size of the incoming stampede of ice, it would just overflow.
"Or maybe I should..."
Just then, some knights spotted him and yelled at him to stop whatever he was doing. They charged towards him, but were slowed down by the fleeing crowd.
Kojo turned back to the avalanche and pointed his index and middle fingers at the incoming wall of snow, like a gun. An indigo ball appeared at his fingertips, crackling with sparks. He then turned his hand, cocked his middle finger with his thumb, and flicked the indigo blast towards the avalanche.
The ball struck the mass of snow and exploded, causing it all to evaporate. The steam was still moving towards the village, though, so Kojo inwardly apologized to Yukio about breaking the rules about affecting the weather and raised both his hands, creating a tornado in front of the steam. The tornado absorbed and redirected the steam upward into the sky.
Kojo sighed once it was all over. He looked around, but didn't see the girl. He wondered what he was going to do with the flower. He looked down at it.
Kojo put the flower in his pocket dimension.
"I'll return it when I next see her."
He turned to walk towards the gateway at the center of the town, but by this time, he was surrounded by a group of five knights, who demanded to know who he was and what he had done.
Kojo raised his hands and said, "Hey, I haven't done anything! Shouldn't you be thankful I saved this town?"
One of the knights sneered, "You're a filthy beast! A dog!"
Kojo noticed that their glares were because of his appearance and made his ears and tail disappear, replying, "I'm not a demi-human or whatever. I'm just a traveler."
Another knight yelled, "Shut up, scum! Mongrels aren't welcome here."
"Wow, racist much?" Kojo thought, rolling his eyes.
He then noticed that some members of the crowd in the distance, and even two out of the five knights, were demi-humans.
"What's going on?" Kojo wondered.
Just then, thunder and raindrops sounded, and one of the knights looked up in surprise. "What's going on? It's raining!"
Another pointed a spear at Kojo.
"Hey you, dog! What did you do?!"
"It's nothing special. The temperature difference between the steam and atmospheric moisture has caused the water to condense and caused the rain."
The knights stared at each other, then took a step each towards Kojo, weapons raised even more.
The first knight snarled, "You've brought a taboo upon our land! You'll pay for this!"
Another knight added, "Since you're a dog, we can kill you without any repercussions."
Kojo raised an eyebrow, then smirked.
"Sorry, but I have somewhere I need to be," he said as he unfurled his wings and hovered above the knights with one powerful beat.
The knights stumbled backward, shocked. One of them exclaimed, "What the...?"
Kojo looked down at the knights.
"Later," he said, disappearing into the clouds.
One of the knights turned to the others and asked, "Was that... a Seraph?"
"Impossible. One of those mongrels could never..."
Meanwhile, a wolf with translucent white fur and captivating blue eyes observed Kojo from a distance before turning and running away.
