Chapter 25 - Different

Julian got discharged after he was confirmed to be fine and was brought back home.

"Are you comfortable? Do you need anything? Does your head still hurt—"

"I'm fine, Alex. Relax." Julian chuckled, amused, as Alex fussed over him.

The moment they got home, Ales had escorted him straight to his room, insisting he get some rest, like Riley instructed.

It was his first time seeing her that worried. He could still remember when she hurled a pan at his head. Good times.

Alex sighed, sitting on the edge of his bed. She didn't mean to be overbearing; she just wanted to make sure he was okay. Though deep down, she knew it was her guilt talking.

After giving him one last glance to confirm he was really fine, her eyes wandered around the room.

It was her first time entering the room since he moved in. Not much had changed, but the difference was obvious.

The room now had… a spark of life.
