After gathering the Lamb's Crest that Freya needed, Deimos then went inside the cabin. There, he saw Freya was concocting some kind of medicine for the boar, who he knew was a member of the vanirs, Hildisvini, he did not say anything though since he knew that it would be future knowledge and he doesn't have no idea how to make sense of it, he cannot just drop something like that on Kratos, it would trigger his suspicions and he already have that going on, with how his strength is growing,
"All done, he should just need some rest, and he will be healthy," Freya said after finishing her healing with the boar.
"Really? That's great," Atreus said while looking at both Kratos and Freya happily. Kratos then turned around, getting ready to leave.
"Wait, you cannot leave without my thanks, at least for helping me," Freya said, stopping Kratos in his tracks.
"I don't think he trusts anyone for help, but thanks for the offer," Deimos then said, also getting ready to leave.
"Atreus, let's go, we have much to do," Kratos said while nearing the entrance.
"No, I have something that can help you, a way to avoid the people that can cause you harm," Freya said to Kratos, reminding him of the Gods that want to hurt them. Freya then dipped her fingers in a salve, and when she went to put it on the neck of Kratos, he grabbed her hands while looking at her threateningly. Freya just also looked at him, after a few seconds of standoff, Kratos let her smear it on his neck.
"Leyna" Freya then said, while the salve that she smeared suddenly glowed, she then repeated it to Atreus and when it was Deimos turn, she was surprised on how Deimos' body rejected the smear, but looks like still have the same effect, making it permanent, she then thought about him being a being with great mysteries, not knowing that it happened due to his natural ability to become immune to fate, or anything that would see his future, one of his perks in transporting in the God of War universe, though it was not known for the both of Freya and Deimos, Deimos just thought that he was fateless.
"Hmmm, Interesting," Freya said, still looking at Deimos.
"Why? Something wrong?" Deimos asked Freya.
"Nothing to be concerned about" Freya said, not offering anymore explanaition, after marking them with the conceal rune, she then lead them to a hidden passage, that would lead them directly to the river, Freya then said her goodbye.
"Would we see you again?" Atreus asked Freya, being attached to the witch who did not give her name yet,
"As much or as little as you like," Freya answered Atreus, while Deimos just looked at her with curiosity, wondering what Freya sees in him.
"Let's continue our journey, we have a long road to travel, " Kratos then informed both of his sons, where they left and followed the path that was heading to the river, leaving Freya alone in his cabin.
"Hmmmmm, i did not just feel something shift, it's as if some unknown forces wants me to meet them, i look forward to the future interactions i would have with them" Freya said, while having her heart beat once more, feeling the love of motherly instincts that was beginning to awaken, not realizing that it began to affect her subtly.
Back to the trio of Deimos, Atreus and Kratos, while walking down the path, following the cave system where they would find a boat according to the witch, Kratos can't help but look at his Oldest son, he knew he was getting stronger, but at the rate of how, it was becoming a mystery to Kratos whether he can deter him to not follow his footsteps without having to use his full power, and that would be a scary scenario for Kratos, just imagining the brutality of the fight, with him not wanting to hurt or even possibly kill his son accidentally while fighting with the rage,
'How would you react if you knew our true heritage? Would you be swallowed by the arrogance it brings, or would you choose a more peaceful path, I just hoped that i raised you better to know what would be a better pick" Kratos contemplated while looking at Deimos, he then thought of all the possibilities where Deimos would successfuly kill him, he would be ready then but he did not think, if whether it was retribution for his past action or a self-fulfilling prophecy, where it would just repeat th cycle of hate over and over again,
While Kratos was thinking this, Deimos was just thinking about how to get stronger, and his would be next labors, he was thinking it was time for him to summon the hydra, since they are now near the waters, after contemplating for a bit he then said to the system to summon the hydra.
