Dominic sat sipping espresso in the Bentley estate's living room, facing his wife, who didn't look too pleased.
"What is going on, Dominic? Why is there no progress so far?" Elysia asked, her gaze dark and unpredictable as she looked at her husband.
Dominic didn't say anything. He gazed at nothing in particular, his expression blank.
"It's not like we are not trying. We can't go all in and overboard with the trials on our hands. I have contacted the rogues, and they'll make a move soon," Dominic said.
Elysia scoffed.
"Contacted this and that. Is your army so useless that they can't handle a girl? First, it was Gloria, a fairy, who used to flaunt living in that Grand palace. We got her out of the way. But now it's a mere healer girl living there? Are they more deserving than true werewolves like us?" Elysia's voice was full of contempt and hatred for their family dynamics.
Dominic understood her frustration.
