"Alright class the session is now finished you may take your lunch now!"
Avery wakes up and yawns from the loud voice of the teacher. He looks around the classroom and sees everyone get up from their seats to go outside for breaktime.
Everyone is going outside I guess... Atleast I got some lunch back at home that my parents made for me so I'm staying. Man I really wanna see her again, she's kind inside and I know it.
I'm going to see her later after I finish this real quick.
Avery thought about Aoife from his boredom after class. Avery raises his leg on top of the table and relaxes on the school chair. He eats his sandwich peacefully being undisturbed from any distractions at all.
He finally makes up with his mind and stood up to try to look for Aoife instead of staying in the classroom. He walks through the clamorous hallways filled with laughter and chatter near the cafeteria.
Avery suddenly gets pushed by a running student across the hallway and falls to the ground.
"OOPS SORRY!"
The student apologized and continued to run across the hallway being chased by someone else. Avery stands up and rubs his head with annoyance in his face. He looks at the ground with shock and realized the sandwich that he had been eating also fell to the ground.
Damn...! That was my only lunch for today! I'll confront that annoying ass student later!
Avery got disappointed from the hasty student's actions and tries to brush off his mind trying to not get tilted from it. He breathes again and eases his mind. He walks again around the hallways trying to find and meet Aoife again being curious on her whereabouts.
Suddenly, something snapped into his mind. He remembered the section of Aoife and proceeds to rush towards the specific classroom. Avery walked briskly towards Aoife's section around the hallways. He speculated that Aoife might have hid from him for being anxious around him.
After, walking for a while he finally goes to the section of Aoife and took a peek inside of the classroom. He noticed Aoife wasn't even in her own classroom during lunch time.
"Hey guys! Have you guys seen Aoife!?"
"Nope! I think she's somewhere in the hallways!"
"Alright thank you!"
Damn... Where could she possibly be...? Is she actually that anxious and scared meeting with me again? I'll find her myself I guess...
Avery got a disappointed look into his face after hearing Aoife's classmate's response to him. He pondered again where her presence possibly is. He continued to wander around the hallways with the enough time needed for lunch. Avery finally found something mysterious and unsettling in the deep corridors of the school.
After, endless walking across the school he approached this dark narrow hallway that no student ever went through. Then, he heard murmurs and whispers closer and closer as he kept on walking in the uncanny pathway.
The chatter became louder and louder as he walks closer to the continual hallway. Then, it clicked on Avery's head, he heard the voice of Aoife whispering with someone else in those dark walls. He tried to sneak more inside to eavesdrop about Aoife's discussion with a mysterious man.
Finally, he found a small room and looked into the window of the door. He sees Aoife speaking to someone familiar.
Who's that...? Wait a minute... Isn't that Mr. Oscar...? What the hell are they doing here?!
Avery had skepticism on his look after seeing Aoife with Mr. Oscar in a room chatting something. He placed his head on the crack of the rusty door to listen on what they were talking about. His expression suddenly turn dark and serious after what he had heard from them.
What...? There's something inside the school...? A ancient relic...? Is this school haunted or something? Are they crazy inside that room?
Avery looked up raising his head slightly to see on what was going on now after the intense silence. He sees Aoife slowly approaching the door. Avery walks fast slowly and quietly trying to not reveal his presence to Aoife. He hid in the darkness of the hallway trying to camouflage and blend in with the floor.
The door creaks open and Aoife peeks left and right to see if there's anyone stalking them. Avery held his breath trying not to make any noise.
"No one's here Sir! What did you see anyways?"
Aoife closes the door and returns back to the room and their chatter continued. Avery sighs and relaxes against the ground. Suddenly, something grabbed his leg and it felt slimy. He turned into his back and his expression became frightened from what he saw.
He saw a extraordinary living creature that doesn't belong to earth. It had a blob body with it's long black arms stiffing his legs from escaping. It had vivid green eyes staring into his eyes intensely.
"HELP!!!"
Avery screamed with agony and fear trying to make his voice be audible to anyone close to the hallway. Immediately, Aoife bashes the door open and her hand suddenly generated a yellow energy blade filled with light and static.
She had a serious expression and stared at the creature with a murder intent. She gripped the handle firmly preparing to launch an attack.
She leaped over Avery and strikes the creature's arms. The blade sliced the arms instantly and liquified into black substance. Aoife carried Avery's body out of the hallway and placed him in the ground softly.
The creature crawled back into the darkness with inaudible noises. Aoife looked at Avery softly and the blade suddenly disappeared into her hands again. She sat in the ground next to Avery.
"What the hell are you doing here boy...?"
"I SHOULD BE ASKING YOU THAT! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING AROUND HERE?!"
Avery grabbed Aoife's shirt close to her chest with arrogance. She slapped Avery's hand and stood up and looked at him with a disgusting look.
"PERVERT! You tried grabbed my boobs!"
"I DIDN'T MEAN TO DO THAT TO YOU! I GOT TOO UHHH- EXCITED I GUESS!"
"THAT IS EVEN MORE WORSE WITH THAT INTENT!"
Aoife and Avery argued for a few minutes before finally they settle down in the hallway. Aoife helped Avery stand up from the ground. Aoife begins to talk to Avery with a urgent look in her face.
"Why are you here...? Answer me this...?"
"Uhhhh, I tried to look for you so we can hangout perhaps?"
"Oh God, I forgot I'm still around the school's perimeter I should've went back to class again."
"AND what the fuck was going on in this hallway Aoife?"
"Th- That creature I suppose?"
"Yes that ugly ass looking creature that tried to eat me alive!"
Aoife sighs and prepared to talk to him with a serious tone. She pulled his hair and made his head closer to her face.
"There's something going on beyond the school and the world..."
She whispered inside Avery's ear making sure that no one would hear about the information. Avery gasped as Aoife spoke the truth to him. He nods to her affirming he listened to her.
"Right now, I don't got much time left to explain all of this events happening right now... Wait didn't you just see the creature right?"
"Yeah I did why?"
"Then you're a..."
Aoife came to sudden moment of realization on what action went through her brain. She realizes something about Avery.
Holy shit...! That means he's a Spectre LIKE ME! What can I possibly tell him about this...?
"Hey Aoife, you seemed to see a ghost... Did something clicked into your mind...?"
"Uhhh- Haha~ No... I just thought of something."
Aoife nervously chuckled with Avery trying to not show the slightest panic in her mind. All of a sudden, a loud noise and explosion was heard from the dark hallway. The hallway was lit up by men wearing red goggles that revealed their presence deep into the passage.
"RUN!"
Aoife grabbed Avery and ran straight at the guiding lights of the corridor. Avery held Aoife's hand and tried to not look back from the horror behind them.
"There...! I found the Bleached Cipher...!"
The men tried to chase after the duo until the door was opened quickly to stun the enemies. Mr. Oscar walked outside of the room and a digital cube turned into a plasma pistol was in his right hand.
"What the fu-"
Mr. Oscar fired and the laser passed through two men's head like flash with his orange plasma pistol. He checked their bodies and found a device with them. The device was like a futuristic cellphone that had everything needed without internet and signal at all. It was powered by a shiny crystal shard made by astral magic.
Aoife and Avery looked back and saw that Mr. Oscar had taken down the mysterious men in red goggles with black business suits. They walked back to Mr. Oscar trying to get a glimpse on what happened.
"We need to go NOW! They're coming for more..."
