Chapter 29: The Sect Mistress Can't Hold Back & The Breaking Point Approaches

A Sect Mistress on the Edge

Yue Qingyan moved faster than she ever had before.

Her Sect Mistress robes billowed behind her, the cold night wind brushing against her smooth, pale skin as she leaped across the rooftops of the Azure Moon Sect.

Her heart was pounding.

Her Qi was unstable.

đź’ "What am I doing?"

She should have left.

She should have ignored what was happening in Su Meiyu's courtyard.

She should have pretended she didn't care.

But she couldn't.

Because the moment she saw Lin Tian and Su Meiyu tangled together in that intimate way…

She snapped.

Her normally calm, icy mind had been consumed by something foreign.

Something ugly.

Something she didn't want to admit.

💭 "Am I… jealous?"

She landed near the training grounds, her body tensed, her Qi fluctuating dangerously.

She had no plan.

No reason for confronting Lin Tian except for one simple truth.

She could no longer stand aside and watch.

She had to act.

No matter the consequences.

Su Meiyu's Triumph—Or Her Mistake?

Back in her private courtyard, Su Meiyu smirked as she traced a finger along Lin Tian's chest, her golden fox eyes burning with victory.

She had felt it.

The Sect Mistress's Qi spike.

The moment Yue Qingyan saw them entangled in the moonlight, something inside her had broken.

đź’ "I knew it."

The untouchable Ice Phoenix was cracking.

And Su Meiyu?

She relished every second of it.

She glanced at Lin Tian, whose lips curved into an amused smirk.

"You know she's coming, right?" she murmured, her golden tails curling around his wrist.

Lin Tian grinned.

"I'm counting on it."

Su Meiyu laughed softly, shifting slightly so that she was straddling his lap, her silk robe barely keeping her modesty intact.

"Should I be jealous, Lin Tian?" she purred, her breath hot against his ear.

Lin Tian tilted his head, his grip tightening slightly on her waist.

"You tell me, Elder Su," he murmured. "You're the one trying to mark your territory."

Su Meiyu chuckled, low and dangerous.

"That's because I know how to win," she whispered.

Then—she leaned in, her lips grazing against his.

But just before their lips met—

A cold wind rushed through the courtyard.

And the temperature dropped instantly.

The Sect Mistress Arrives—And She's Not Holding Back

BOOM!

A wave of icy Qi exploded through the courtyard, sending a sharp chill through the air.

Lin Tian and Su Meiyu froze.

Then—

A figure descended from the rooftop, her silver hair glowing under the moonlight.

Her violet eyes burned with an emotion that neither of them had seen before.

Yue Qingyan.

But this wasn't the calm, composed Sect Mistress that Lin Tian had come to enjoy teasing.

This was something else entirely.

A woman losing control.

A woman who had seen enough.

She landed with grace, her Sect Mistress robes flowing perfectly, but her Qi was flaring wildly around her.

She wasn't here to talk.

She was here to reclaim something.

Su Meiyu smirked.

"Well, well," she purred, rolling off Lin Tian slowly but making sure to drag her fingers down his chest one last time.

"You're late, Sect Mistress."

Yue Qingyan ignored her.

Her violet gaze was locked onto Lin Tian.

And her fingers tightened into fists.

💭 "This man… has pushed me too far."

Lin Tian grinned.

"Missed me, Sect Mistress?"

Yue Qingyan's Qi flared dangerously.

"Silence."

For the first time—Lin Tian saw true emotion in her eyes.

And it wasn't just anger.

It was frustration. Confusion. Desire.

A woman who had been denying herself for too long.

A woman who had run out of reasons to resist.

The Final Stand—Or The Final Fall?

The air was thick with tension.

Su Meiyu leaned casually against a nearby railing, watching with undeniable amusement.

She had done exactly what she wanted.

She had broken Yue Qingyan.

Now—Lin Tian just had to finish the job.

Yue Qingyan took a slow, steady step forward.

"You…" she whispered. "You have been nothing but a nuisance."

Lin Tian smirked.

"And yet, here you are."

Her violet eyes narrowed.

"You have no respect for the rules of the sect."

Lin Tian chuckled.

"You're not here because of the rules."

She stiffened.

Lin Tian stepped forward, closing the gap between them.

"You're here because you don't know how to handle me."

Her breathing hitched.

Lin Tian leaned in, his voice dropping lower.

"You push me away."

His fingers grazed against her wrist.

"But you keep coming back."

Her entire body tensed.

And for the first time in centuries—

Yue Qingyan couldn't find the words to respond.

Su Meiyu grinned from the sidelines.

"Oh my," she murmured, her golden eyes flashing.

"This is much better than I expected."

Yue Qingyan's Qi fluctuated again, but this time—it wasn't out of control.

It was focused.

Then—

Without warning—

She grabbed Lin Tian's collar, pulling him close.

"You think you're clever, don't you?" she whispered.

Lin Tian grinned.

"I know I am."

Her grip tightened.

And for a brief moment, it looked like she was going to push him away again.

But instead—

She did the one thing neither Lin Tian nor Su Meiyu expected.

She kissed him.

Hard.

The Ice Has Finally Melted

The world stilled.

Su Meiyu's smirk vanished.

Lin Tian's eyes widened slightly—before he smirked against her lips.

Yue Qingyan was tense, her hands gripping his robes tightly, as if trying to convince herself this was a mistake.

But her body betrayed her.

She didn't pull away.

Not immediately.

Not until she realized what she had done.

Then—her violet eyes widened.

She abruptly stepped back, her Qi flaring in panic.

"I—I…"

She turned away, her fingers brushing against her lips, her breathing uneven.

Lin Tian licked his lips, grinning.

"Looks like I win, Sect Mistress."

Yue Qingyan's chest rose and fell quickly, her emotions a storm.

Then—she vanished.

But not because she was running.

Because she knew—

She had already lost.
