Even though I had rejected him, I still couldn't stop thinking about this offer!
I wondered why he changed his mind all of a sudden. I know I believed it was because he liked me, but thinking about it now, I couldn't
help but wonder if I had made another mistake in assuming that.
"Here's your bow and quiver of arrows mi lady," Prescott said and handed me my bow. I stared at the custom recurve bow and leather quiver with a frown. I couldn't stop thinking about Raegan and him calling me his princess in front of everyone and then going on to say he wanted us to get on with my
plan. He didn't seem like the type to just change his mind all Willy-nilly. Something
must have prompted him to make that decision after rejecting it the first time. But what the hell could it be?
