Two hours before Klause arrived at Dionysus Hall, the night air crackled with tension as Wolf-bat and Bhung the glutton faced off in a brutal duel. The street lights sparked continuously in the dark of the night.
"KRAKK!" Bhung's metal bat slammed into the ground, shattering the pavement into a mosaic of rutapon cubes.
Wolf-bat moved like quicksilver, his form blurring as he darted around Bhung. "Scratch! Scratch! Scratch!" His high-tech claws tore into Bhung's skin, leaving a crisscross of bloody lines.
"So irritatingly slow," Wolf-bat taunted, his voice echoing from all directions. "Is this really all you have to offer? Make this milestone more sensational for me, will you?"
Bhung roared in frustration, his excess fat bulging as he raised his bat high. "BOOM-KRAKK!" The ground erupted in a 15-meter radius, dust and debris billowing into the air.
Wolf-bat who had swiftly climbed up the rooftop of a settlement behind him saw a fluctuating street light nearby fall, blowing the dust away a bit. As the dust cleared, he saw Bhung's silhouette.
As the dust settled, Bhung stood amidst the destruction, his breath coming in ragged gasps. "You'll be my next home run."
Wolf-bat's eyes narrowed, veins pulsing on his forehead.
In a flash, Wolf-bat closed the distance. Bhung's eyes widened in shock as cold fingers gripped his face. The world spun, and suddenly Bhung found himself staring at a horrifying sight - his own headless body, blood fountaining from the neck.
Bhung shone his bloodshot eyes as he watched from the back of his headless body spew blood vigorously from the neck like a fountain as it stood still with the bat still in his hold. The blood showered on them like rain as blood ran down from the claw marks on Bhung's face as well as the blood from the blood rain.
"You've been defeated." Wolf-bat said while still holding Bhung's head forward. Wolf-bat's black hair was wet and rough which covered his eyes partially. His white shirt was soaked red with Bhung's blood and his metallic tech claws were dripping blood.
"Don't take it personally," Wolf-bat said. "You and many others are stepping stones to my elevation and escape from here."
"It's not over, I'd regenerate!". Bhung yelled as tears rolled down his puffy cheeks.
"Of course you would. But when you do, you'd have lost your explosive strength that came with your heavy body, you would be lighter and skinnier as well." Wolf-bat continued.
"For real? I'd…..no longer have to be scared of the upperclassmen who pick on me?". Tears rushing from his eyes, Bhung squeezed his face and gritted his teeth.
'He seems to have a sad past.' Wolf-bat thought to himself as he shifted his eyes to Bhung's body.
"Go to sleep, you'd wake up with a perfect body, one that you've always wished for. Do well to maintain it." Wolf-bat said, lowering Bhung's head.
Bhung's headless body stopped spewing blood and fell backwards not so far from Wolf-bat's feets.
Wolf-bat turned Bhung's head and saw that he had lost consciousness with his swollen eyes slightly opened.
He covered Bhung's eyes and put his head on his stomach. "I'd make this victory worth it." He said as he stepped back.
After ten seconds of looking at Bhung, he reached for his pocket and brought out his regeni phone.
"A trade is ready, west of Dionysus hall." He said, with the phone in his ear.
Five minutes later, a tactical air vehicle came down from above, blowing dust as it was about to settle. Wolf-bat stood up from sitting on the ground as his shirt, hair and trousers danced vigorously from the intense wind.
The door opened and slid from the tactical air vehicle down to the cracked ground, forming a smooth step. Two personnels in full black and deep blue armor armed with Regeni guns ran down the door and positioned themselves on each side of it. They were law executives from the outside world.
Four more matched down the door in great order and rhythm. Wolf-bat watched as they positioned themselves around Bhung's body. One in front of his head, one in front of his feet and the other two In front of his left and right hand sides.
One of them knelt down and pushed something underneath Bhung's back. He stood up and pressed a button on the tactical gloves on his arm. A black rubber-like clothing suddenly came from underneath and enveloped Bhung's body.
That same one clicked on another button which caused the appearance of a flat board-like tech equipment under Bhung's wrapped body. The board levitated with a gentle flow of Regeni energy as it lifted Bhung's body with it.
The four law executives held each corner with one arm as they matched back into the tactical air vehicle. When they entered, the other two matched in as well and the door closed.
Wolf-bat watched the tactical air vehical rise up, blowing dust again as it flew from the direction it came from.
After seeing it disappear in the distance, his phone vibrated in his palm. The light shone on his bloody face when he put it on to check.
"2.5M Kounties. I'd have loved it to be more than that". He said as he put his phone back into his pocket and walked away from Dionysus hall.
…
One and a half hours later, Klause arrived at Dionysus' Hall with his entire faction only to be disappointed by their lateness.
"Ermm, Klause, can we check to see if there was anything they left behind". Some youngsters asked Klause as he was walking back towards the exit of Dionysus hall.
He stopped and turned to look at them. He closed his eyes and waved his palm as a sign that he approved of it.
"Do what you want but if you run away, we'd be enemies". He said as he sat on an extruding pavement near a settlement.
They shone their eyes and smiled, "Yes boss, we won't run". After saying this, they ran deep into Dionysus to search for resources.
Klause thought to himself and stood up. "Nobody should go far, this is where we'd meet before we return to Olympus". He said to the other members of his faction.
After a while, he followed in the direction of the youngsters. When he was finally able to locate them, they were on the ground, beaten seriously.
Not only that but a boy who looked their age was eating in front of him. He immediately took interest in this boy and would name him…. Fortis.
When he went back to that spot, the sound of murmurs circled across his members as they saw a boy behind Klause.
"One house everyone! I'd like to introduce Fortis as a new member of this faction! Get along with him well!".
As Klause said this, Fortis slowly surveyed the members of the faction until he met eyes with Veda who had a curious look on his face.
