"I sincerely thought you weren't coming," Elizabeth wiped away her imaginary tears.
Zaiyila chuckled. "And someone would've been angry if I didn't come," she responded with a laugh.
Elizabeth laughed and released her from the hug. "Mum, let me introduce you. This is Zaiyila, my best friend. Aiyi, meet my mum," she announced.
"Ah, what a beautiful girl. No wonder our Lizzy was so determined to wait for you. You're such a good girl," her mother smiled warmly.
Zaiyila's face flushed from the compliment. "Thank you, Aunty," she responded shyly.
Elizabeth chuckled and pulled Zaiyila toward her father. "Aiyi, this is my father. Dad, this is my best friend, Zaiyila," she introduced.
Zaiyila smiled. "Hello, Uncle," she greeted warmly.
