"Boss, you have a meeting right now. Mr. Henry submitted his agreement file—I'm here to deliver it to you to…" the female began in a sweet, seductive voice as she approached, but she couldn't finish her sentence.
"Ahhh!" she screamed, stumbling back in shock. In her haste, her heel slipped, and she crashed onto her butt with a sharp hiss of pain.
Zaiyila, who had been feeling quite displeased, couldn't help but burst into laughter. Her laughter was so melodic that even the woman who had fallen forgot her pain and stared at her in a daze.
Trying to stifle her amusement, Zaiyila covered her mouth and glanced around to check if Everett had returned. "Sorry, miss. Do you need help?" she asked kindly, though she was still fighting hard not to laugh.
The woman snapped out of her daze and immediately stood up. "What are you doing here, you little thief?! How did you get in?" she barked.
