"how long has it been?" Jake asked staring at Ms Lisa who laid on the floor, her lips were dry and she had a bite mark right below her shoulder
"How long has it been since she was bitten?" Jake asked he looked worried not for his sake but for Ellie's
" Ten minutes" Ellie responded trembling like she had seen a ghost
"She was trying to protect me then got bitten instead, I didn't wanna leave her outside so I brought her in here" Ellie said starting to tear up while Jake did nothing but stare at her
"There's nothing you can do now Ellie, she's gone one way or the other, c'mon we gotta leave this school" Jake said grabbing Ellie's arm while leading her to the door but Ellie protested forcing her arm off Jake's while turning around to stare at Ms Lisa who had already started convulsing
"Thank you Ms Lisa, thank you for rescuing me at the cost of your life, I'm sorry I couldn't o anything to help,....I'm really sorry" Ellie cried completely forgetting the fact that she had an infected in front of her, Ms Lisa had already turned and quickly charged at Ellie but Jake was able to bring her down just in time before she did any harm on Ellie
"C'mon Ellie, if we stay here we're only making ourselves targets" Jake reminded Ellie who stood as he helped her up then led her outside the room
SCHOOL HALLWAYS.....
"I couldn't help them, I couldn't help them, I just watched them all die in front of me and I couldn't do nothing about it...damn me"Jim cursed running down the school infected hallway while still avoiding the monsters, he knew he could've tried helping as much student as he could but his cowardice caused their deaths,he hated the fact that he hadn't done anything and had remained useless up until the point where he was forced to run leaving his students behind
"Fuck me" Jim cursed again racingor the 2nd floor, he had a plan and that was just leaving the school by any means necessary
"I'll get better, this I promise myself" he huffed wiping the tears off his eyes while still running.
While at the other side of the school Jake and Ellie had suddenly found themselves surrounded by the infected, while Jake could easily kill them, protecting Ellie's while killing these monsters were just too much and Ellie couldn't help but sit at the corner scared
"If this goes on, I don't think I'll be able to protect her and myself, fuck what do I do now?" Jake thought remembering he had got a skill he was yet to use
"Maybe I could use that now, can't I?"Jake thought staring at Ellie, using such a skill in front of Ellie would mean revealing his secrets to her and that he couldn't risk as he tried coming up with a plan
"Ellie, Ellie" Jake called gaining Ellie's attention, as soon as she looked at him he requested her to run as fast as her feet could take her to the school main entrance which was just a floor down
"No I can't, I don't wanna leave you here" Ellie argued
"Just follow my fucking orders ellie, I promise you I'll be right with you before you even notice it" Jake said
"You promise?"Ellie asked
"Yh" Jake promised
It took a while as Ellie hesitated before running but finally she raced for the stairs as fast as she can, Jake watching her making sure she was nowhere in sight sighed excitedly, his gaze fixed at the zombies as he smiled
"Now I can go all out" he laughed pointing his right arm at the zombies he had killed, five of them
"RESURRECT" he ordered as five of the infected he had killed suddenly rose standing in front of him
"Let's make this fun" Jake smiled rushing towards the infected, his weapon on his arm and his zombie army beside him.
