Fated by the full moon

The inn was located at the outskirts of the town. Not many people could be seen. As the approached the inn a certain man came towards them reciting a chant like a drunk man. The guards immediately apprehended him and he yelled " you,why are you here, have you not done enough, he would come for you and he would have his revenge I promise you Oliv.." the man was cut short when his face came in contact with one of the guards fist . " Shut up traitor, you drunken old hag the leaders would not take it likely with you verbally assaulting one of the students" the man who struck him said giving him another blow to the face . " Take him to the leaders I would get them settled in the inn" a voice said behind them, it was the same guard at the gate . Serena wondered if he had been following them and if he wasn't how did he get here so fast. Serena's hands trembled as she held onto Missy even tighter. " Please, please spare me I didn't mean it, I ,they can't stay away,they would come, he would come all because of" " shut or far worse would be done to you" the guard said lifting his hand to strike him again . " Please don't please I am not offended by his words, he's just drunk right he must have mistaken me for another person" Serena said with a crooked smile, her legs were barely holding on, she was scared, very scared not just because of the creepy old man but about everything she had seen so far, the town was terribly strange. " Yes Ms, take him away now" the guard yelled at his men which carried the old man away. As the left the man kept muttering " his coming, they are all coming, they have been awakened, cursed is this century that the wolves shall return" . " What a poor old man" Serena said swallowing hard, she looked at Missy waiting for her to concur but she remained mute her brows knotted in worry. " You okay" Serena tugged her hand slightly gaining her attention. " Yes, let's get going hmm" she said staring aimlessly into the path which the guards and the old man had gone . The man led them to an old medium sized cottage with bright golden lights coming from it's windows and smoke leaving the chimney . As they stepped into the cottage the warmth and delicious aroma which received them made her forget all her worries . She did not know she was even hungry, her stomach growled indicating it wanted to be fed . " Serena was that you love I should have known you'd be hungry after such a long trip silly me" Missy said with a frown. " Don't worry everything you need would be provided without cost " the man said looking in the direction of what looked like a little reception he walked in meeting a plump little woman with red curly hair packed in a bun she wore a brown apron round her waist and was humming a song. " My goodness general what an honor to have you here, may I ask why you are here" she said, the last part coming out as more of a whisper . " I would like you to house these guests for the night, I would be here to pick them up tomorrow morning, do make them feel comfortable they are important to the elders" he said sternly. The general stepped out of the room approaching Serena and Missy " I have arranged your settlement here, come in" he said leading them into the reception. " Welcome I'm so happy to, to oh goodness me" the lady said her face turning pale the second she laid her eyes on Serena . The general walked up to her hastily he bent beside her whispering into her ear " be calm it has not yet been confirmed by the leaders that she is the one we still have time before they find out" he said tapping her shoulder slightly. " Yes general we still have time" she stuttered her hands griping the ends of her apron . " Mary please take our lovely guests to the rooms so they can refresh themselves they look quite tired from there journey" the lady said gesturing to a pretty brunette girl who sat at the corner folding sheets . " Yes m'lady " she said bowing slightly before walking up the stairs "kindly follow me" she whispered hurriedly not looking at either Serena or Missy. They both looked at each other, both minds filled with different thoughts before they followed her up the stairs . " Please do not act weary of her, she is already traumatized by Mr Wickam" the general whispered letting out a sigh. He finally took off his cap, his dirty blonde hair cascading down to his shoulders. "That old goat I knew he was a traitor from the beginning, seems like more who sided that devil have become more rampart general" The lady said with a frown. He stood up, his bright red eyes meeting the lady's, " now don't underestimate Michael by calling him the devil, he is stronger than even that demon". He ran his hand through his hair "wouldn't that be a miracle if she is the one who woke up the wolves " he said with a smile which held no emotion . " A miracle indeed general if she chooses right, if not we, the entire world would be doomed for the brothers would clash again and who is strong enough to stop them, no mortal nor immortal being could not even Vashti herself " she said swallowing hard her hands griping her apron harder . The general smiled his beautiful red eyes reflecting the light from the candles . " I have a good feeling about her" was all he said before heading to the door ." The full moon is in four days time, we would know the truth by then I assure you Mrs Smith the leaders would not let things get out of control , never again " he said leaving the inn his red eyes blazing .
