THIRD PERSON POV:
After the homage of the two teams to each other, the crowd left the stadium one by one, and the players of both teams have started packing their stuff. On the other hand, the few remaining people inside the stadium were gathering. Apparently, there is a commotion going on, but no one knows what is really happening. Making people to come up with different speculations.
A few moments more, a loud feminine voice echoed through the stadium saying "GET OUT OF THE WAY! THE PRESIDENT'S DAUGHTER WILL BE PASSING BY!" The warning on its voice is unmistakable, raising the tension of the commotion.
"Here they comes again... we should've leave now, or we might get involved with them," said by someone named Maki, a team player from Vikings.
His teammates asked him, "Shouldn't we stop them?"
"No, just let them be, right Cap?" said Maki, glancing at their team Captain, Roan.
Roan responded, "Yeah... let's just leave them alone."
After that, everyone left the stadium, in fear of getting involved in the commotion, unless they want to drop out from the university.
.
.
.
It's already 4 o'clock before the sundown. The event has concluded, and the students have subsequently departed. But some were still at the campus; resting and doing some stuff. Meanwhile, the two of Roan and Maki were strolling down the pathway towards the campus cafe.
Maki whined in regret, "To bad, we didn't win, I still want to play in the Nationals!"
"What are you!" Roan exclaimed. "Just because we lost, doesn't mean we won't be able to play in the Nationals," he remarked.
"Yeah, but we have a better chance of getting selected for the Nationals if we win."
"Darn Mr. Beast! If it weren't for him, we would have won!" Maki hollered, opening the glass door of the cafe.
"Taking about Mr. Beast...," said Roan nonchalantly, as soon as they entered.
"Whoah, whoah! What is this?!" Maki exclaimed, surprised by what he saw, but Roan remained calm.
Turns out, the three of Vaughn, Pasha, and Caspian were also at the cafe. They were sleeping close together on the sofa, as if they were so tired that they couldn't help but fall asleep.
Thankfully, they didn't wake up because of Maki's sudden outburst. Yet, the Cafe's owner scolded him. "Cafe's rule: don't make noise. So, please be silent, students. Or otherwise, I'll send you out!"
Roan immediately apologized to the owner, "I'm verry sorry, I'll keep him quiet." He gazed at Maki and pounded him.
AH!" Maki whined in pain, as Roan fist landed on him. "Apologized to her, you blockhead," said Roan, narrowing his eyes.
Maki swallowed hard, fearing Roan. "I'm very sorry, Ma'am!" Maki apologized, lowering his body, a gesture of genuinity.
"Apologize accepted," the owner said, so Maki breathed a sigh of relief.
After that, they proceeded inside. Maki made their orders, while Roan took a seat on the empty couch across from the three.
Roan's face was etched with disgust as he saw Caspian's face. He was thinking of something to do with the man, but surely the owner would scold him if he did something bad. Therefore, when he turned his eyes to the person on its lap, a smile appeared on his face with the thought of "I wish, I could just be him".
"He's cute while he's sleeping," said Roan to himself. But unexpectedly Maki, who had just returned from the counter, heard what he said.
Makki asked him to find out if he's understanding is correct, "Do you mean, Pasha?"
"Idiot. Do you think Pasha is a guy?" Roan blurted. Unfortunately, Maki thought it Roan was referring to Caspian.
"What?! Are you referring to Caspian? Is this what they called "enemy to lovers" thing?" He said foolishly, so Roan had gone mad of him.
"Fvck you! Never to that damn beast! I'm talking about Vaughn, that guy!" he said in annoyance, pointing at Vaughn.
"What?! Seriously? You're in love with that guy? You're inlove with Vaughn Carter? You're insane, man. You're very insane!" Maki said in disbelief.
"What the hell are you saying?!"
"What I mean is, that's a mess, bro! I won't say it because someone might hear me, but don't ever approach him!"
"Do you mean, Mr. Beast will beat me up if I approach him?"
"No, bro. Just don't go near him no matter what."
VAUGHN'S POV:
I woke up at 5 PM groggily, realizing my nap had turned into a long sleep. I'd expected Rhys and Pasha to rouse me up, but instead, I was the one who woke them up. Though, I understand why they were exhausted. For sure, Rhys had just come from the volleyball game, and Pasha had spent the entire day at an event.
Before we leave the cafe, we apologized to Siss Gina for staying so long on her cafe. But she just said; "It's fine, as long as it just the three of you." I was even embarrassed by her, because she's making us an exemption. But of course except for Pasha, since she's daughter of the president.
We were now walking at the street, and I felt a bit tired since we're already walking for so long. But Pasha looks lethargic, although we rested on the cafe. I guess his social battery ran out during the volleyball game.
I was enjoying the view of sunset and the birds flying towards there, when Pasha asked me suddenly.
"Vaughn... are you okay? Can you still walk?" she said in a sluggish tone. So, I was like; Coming from you! But I didn't want to upset her, so I stopped myself from contradicting her.
"Yeah, I'm fine. You should be the one to be asking if your still okay?" I replied, chucking softly.
"We can rest for moment if you want, we can just watch the sun before it sets," I suggested.
Actually they have a car, but she doesn't want to have their driver pick her up because she thinks she looks like a spoiled brat. And then she said; she'd rather just walk, so we could make the most of our time together.
Suddenly, Pasha seems to have lost her strength, So I helped her lean against the steel fence.
"Thank you, Vaughn! Because that one over there seems so heartless." said Pasha, making Rhys listen.
She's been asking for Rhys to carry her for a while now because his leg hurts so much. But Rhys said that he's already exhausted, since he played earlier in volleyball game and I understand him. So I suggested, I'd just carry her instead, but she didn't want to.
Rhys let out a "Tch!"
"Fine, fine! I'll carry you later!" he said, but Pasha just snubbed him.
I don't know what's up with these two!
As we started to watch the sunset, a fine, misty rain suddenly fell. At the same time, a cool breeze blows, touching our skin, even the birds have started to fly over us.
I haven't felt such feeling before, but I know what it is. It's a rare moment that only happens everyafter sunsets. I took a deep breath, and uttered, "Serenity." a smile spreads across my face while saying that word.
Pasha and Rhys glanced at me. "What actually is that word?" asked Pasha confusedly. I haven't heard that word before."
Yeah... He may not have even heard this word before, so it is not familiar to her.
I let out a sigh, while feeling the cool breeze, and the small drops of rain hitting my skin.
"The absence of mental stress and anxiety, a state of freedom from storm or disturbance," I spoked, while staring at the pale tint of orange clouds from the ocean's horizon.
"A feeling that everyone deserves to experience, and the scenery that everyone is imagining."
"The composure that everyone was dreaming of, the tranquility that all people have to hold on to."
"That despite of every aftermaths, there is always a mysty rain that will pour to cleans our hearts from doubts and fears."
"The only time that we will feel at ease, the only time that we will be at peace... and the freezing time that brings us together in stillness."
At the end of my speech, the sun set at the same time. The sky was completely covered in darkness, and the moon and stars appeared.
Pasha said, "What a wonderful word, I didn't know such word exist." I glanced at her, flashing a smile in my face. "You're right, it's so wonderful," I said.
My eyes turned to Rhys. The wind is blowing his hair, showing her natural thick eyebrow. Just then, I remembered, I haven't congratulate him earlier because I fell asleep. I have to give him at least a present.
As planned, we left after watching the sunset. And just as Rhys promised to Pasha, he carried her all the way to the compound. Then the three of us parted ways towards our house with goodbyes.
