Mirelah;
I land on my knees and palms with a soft thud, and when I open my eyes… My sight is welcomed by grass… only that it's not green… It's black.
Black grass??
I look up, and my heart stops in my chest at the sight before me.
It's dark… but it's also bright. Stuck in the middle. Not bright enough to be day, not dark enough to be night and still not calm enough to be evening.
Ahead of me, in the distance is a massive fog and through it, I can see trees. Tall trees. Some peaking above and some spying from within the fog.
I push myself up as I stare at the sky, and I don't see the sun. How does the sky have light without the moon or sun?
I look to my right and almost jump when I'm met with my reflection. It's a mirrored wall. It only goes on ahead of me for a few feet.
