Chapter 34 - The Return of Hephaestus & the Dawn of New Creation

Olympus stood tall, its marble halls gleaming beneath the golden light of Helios. As Hephaestus ascended the divine mountain, his steps were slow but certain. The gods had called him back—not as an exile, not as a mere craftsman, but as an equal among them.

The grand doors of the council chamber opened, revealing the Twelve Olympians seated in their thrones. Zeus sat at the head, his gaze sharp as lightning. Beside him, Hera watched with quiet scrutiny. Poseidon leaned against his trident, while Athena sat upright, her piercing eyes analyzing every move.

Prometheus stepped forward. "Hephaestus, welcome to Olympus."

The forge god nodded but said nothing. He scanned the room—some gods looked pleased, others indifferent, but none opposed his presence. It was a silent acknowledgment of his importance.

Prometheus turned to Zeus. "Now that Hephaestus has joined us, I wish to announce my plan."

Zeus raised an eyebrow. "Speak, Prometheus."

The Titan straightened. "The humanity that walk the earth have all died during the titan war. The creatures that roam the land are too powerful—monstrous beasts, divine animals, remnants of the Titanomach. If humanity is to be reborn. New weaker animals must be made."

The gods murmured among themselves. The idea of reshaping the world was bold—even for Prometheus.

Zeus' expression darkened. "You wish to create mortals once more?"

Prometheus met his gaze. "Yes. And this time, I will ensure they are stronger, more capable. I will not make them from crude clay alone. They shall be made with the wisdom of the gods and the endurance of the Titans."

Zeus remained silent, deep in thought. Then, after a moment, he turned to Athena.

"Athena, you shall aid him in this task. Your wisdom will shape their minds, ensuring they are not only strong but also intelligent."

Athena nodded. "It will be done."

Prometheus spoke again. "And my brother, Epimetheus, shall help in the creation of animals—beasts that are mortal, free from divine power. Creatures that will serve as companions, mounts, and food. For now, only magical beasts roam the world, and they are too dangerous for men."

Zeus considered this, then nodded. "Very well. Epimetheus shall be given this task. But understand, Prometheus—there are limits to what the gods will allow. I will not tolerate another rebellion through your creations."

Prometheus smirked. "Of course, my king."

The first race of humans, according to Greek myth, were the Golden Age beings, created by the Titans. They lived in peace, free from labor or suffering, under the rule of Kronos. But when the Titanomachy ended, they all died.

Now is the time for the Silver Age humans followed, created by Prometheus, Athena, and Ephimetheus. They shall bring vibrant color to the world.
